The property it’s good an nice unfortunately we couldn’t use the pool even it’s heated pool it is not it was so cold so kids couldn’t use it which was a shame apart of that the room was great .

Wow the Ashford Motor Lodge is a fantastic place to stay. There’s plenty of places to park your car. Lovely relaxing swimming pool. Room and bathroom large and extremely clean and a nice kitchenette to make breakfast and snacks. The staff are so helpful and friendly you could not ask for more on a holiday

I enjoyed my stay and discovered the new dog park out the back of the hotel which is an excellent asset for dog owners like me. One recommendation would be to put some lights there for nighttime, as I couldn't see to clean up after my dog at 7.30 pm due to the dark. I did also have an unpleasant experience when checking in. I was checked in by Shelley (apologies if I've misspelled the name). Because I had never stayed here before, I questioned what the second rule meant on the "rules for dog owners" and her tone was dismissive and rude - I showed her the form. She explained it meant that Hagley Park and the back of the hotel were places to take your pet for toilet stops and to pick up after them, which made sense ( I hadn't known Hagley Park was close to the hotel either). Unfortunately, it was the sarcastic tone that left me feeling very uncomfortable. And it continued through the whole check-in experience. I later met another staff member who asked how I was finding the dog park and my interaction with this staff member was enjoyable, which made up for the communication at the beginning.

Our stay at Ashford motor lodge was very good! An absolutely clean and comfy place to stay. Super comfy beds, a great location around food places and shops. The pool was super cold but very good on a hot day, it was just a little dirty at the bottom but not off putting. The main downfall about this place was the Carpark. It was super tight and when full hard to get around. Another little downfall was when I checked it’s I got greeted but didn’t get much info about the place such as the places rules and pool times, leading me to look it up myself. Luckily there’s a book in the room that has the rules but would’ve preferred to be told upon arrival as that’s what usually happens when I check into places. Overall a very solid stay.

Great place to stay. Room was really spacious, modern and newly decorated. Good shower. Soaps etc. replenish daily. Daily housekeeping and plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate provided. Cooking facilities basic but sufficient to prepare evening meal. Clean hardly used pool. Laundry facilities were good and cheap. Short walk to Hayley Park and then on to beautiful botanical gardens on the die of the centre. Loads of eating options nearby too. Cannot fault it. Reasonable rates for peak season if booked in advance.

I liked how they were pet friendly and except for some common instructions there was no dramas. Even having a pet friendly room , it was still so neat. Sofa bed was a bit dirty when we opened it up but we didnt use it. Otherwise overall, we loved the place. A bit of cleaning would help but not a major issue. Friendly custimer service.

We could not fault this property! Our unit was immaculately clean, beautifully presented and very quiet. The location is great - handy to the city, many shopping and dining options and Hagley Park a wonderful Christchurch gem.

Well it has everything that we need. Beds are comfy, room is spacious and clean, kitchen is well equipped with the essential stuff to cook our own meals. The only downside is our room is just next to the main street and is a bit noisy.

Great accommodation near the Botanic Gardens. Lots of transport options and being pretty flat, it's a very walkable to the CBD. The rooms were nice and clean, but can be hot/warm as it didn't have AC. A ceiling fan or pedestal fan would have been good. Allows late checkin as it's not staffed after 8pm.

I have 5/5 for my last stay (room 11) but we had room 3 which is right on the road. It was very noisy but it was comfortable for our needs. If you want a quiet room, don't get 3 or 4.

It was roomy, quiet, warm and very comfortable. It had full kitchen facilities and I think we may have been upgraded. It is close to Merivale and within walking distance from eateries and shops. The staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. It is one of our favourite places.

This was a quick stay for us to be close to the airport for an early morning flight. We were pleasantly surprised by how well it worked out: Staff was very nice, the space was good for a family of 5 (or larger), and the beds were comfortable with heated mattress pads! The kitchen area is not large, so it's best for short stays or people not planning on doing tons of cooking. We were happy with our stay for the price point especially!

Amazing value for the 5 person unit. Fantastic location at the edge of Hagley Park. Walking distance to the City Centre and Riccarton. However, I marked down service as the office shuts at 8pm. Since I was arriving at 10pm, a point which I had communicated to them, they made no effort to make me aware of the after hours check in process. It was only a chance phone call I made to them earlier on check in day about a different subject, which led to them telling me the after hours check in process. Many latches on the windows were falling apart or broken. However, the outstanding value, cleanliness and location made the stay fantastic.

Fantastic service from the Ashford Staff. Our flight was delayed and we needed to book extra nights for 2 rooms and the staff handled this so seamlessly despite it being a long weekend as well. Having kids and a baby added an extra layer of difficulty for us but the staff made our life so easy and supported us with whatever we needed- I could not be more grateful! The room was lovely and a perfect walking distance to everything we needed. Really happy with our stay here and highly recommend.

The studio was spacious and clean, and had all the amenities you could ask for. There is ample parking and it’s relatively easy to get into the CBD either by driving or taking public transport. The staff were very friendly and I think the offer of milk is a nice touch, it saves you going to the nearby petrol station which I found to be the only alternative.
