Slightly quirky style with turrets and leaded windows which was different. Nice spa/jacuzzi and small pool. However it is looking very tired and in need of attention and maintenance such as windows didn’t fit properly and in need of painting and the bathroom wasn’t in very good condition and very basic crockery etc

Great place to stay for a few nights. spacious 2 bdrm units, this time we had ensuite for each bedroom. Spa is always nice. Great pub across road for meal and breakfast at Pavillions next door is good.

We booked this property because we required a large room with two separate sleeping areas. The room was large and had multiple beds and two bathrooms as advertised. The condition of the property as well as the cleanliness were terrible. The bathrooms are moldy, paint chipped off all walls, rooms smelled musty, all surfaces had marks/handprints/food/white powder on the night stand!!! Absolutely the worst hotel we have stayed at in Christchurch, and we frequent the city regularly. The pool has a resident duck and the spa is missing so many tiles, totally dilapidated. It’s unfortunate as this hotel could be really cool if updated as the building itself is interesting. Pay the extra money and stay anywhere else in the area.

At Camelot Motel you are transferred to another time .... The bustling city on the street outside seems a million miles away... Plus excellent value for money and Fido Friendly .. Had a comfortable 3 night stay here. Room was spacious. Friendly reception helped us out when we accidentally put something important in the bin. Location close to a range of eating venues and Hagley Park. We walked from here into the city centre and botanic gardens. Room very clean. Would stay here again.

Late check was arranged & process was awesome! But…..This property was the worst I have stayed in. It was dirty- someone’s hair stuck to shower wall, cups dirty, toilet not clean. A lot of things old & broken! Reported to reception - was told manager would ring- still hasn’t! Would not recommend the place to anyone.

Quiet, warm and comfortable with everything we needed. Quirky vibe. Bathroom needed a do-up: toilet lid wouldn't stay up as the cistern was in the way. Shower had good pressure but needed a better clean. Nice clean linen. Great having a wee kitchen of our own. Good parking.

The staff were great but the place is worn out, the photos on Expedia are not current. It needs a renovation and unfortunately the unit wasn't clean, kitchen was dirty and food on pots and plates. Some of the kitchen appliances were grubby.

The room was great. It was cold on arrival and did not heat up very well during the night. We used the small extra fan heater which worked but only in it's immediate vicinity. If it was warmer, i would have rated comfort a 5.

Great service at check in, Room was what I expected for what I paid, however the noise from the surrounding rooms was terrible. Very thin walls, could hear everytime the room on either side or above me showered or used the toilet. Next time, I would definitely pay a little bit more and stay at their neighbouring Pavillions, so I could get some sleep.

I stayed 2 nights with a 6 week old baby with me so friday night had a family next to me that was playing loud bass music late friday night Saturday morning i rang the christchurch council to have someone come out from night patrol to sort it out for me but they told me since i was on the same location as the noise was coming from i had to ring the owner of the motel so i did and asked them to get them to get it sorted out as i had to drive back to westport Saturday morning with 6 week old baby but the owner didnt really do much so i also rang the police about it as well

We had a generous sized room and comfortable bed. Our room had all the amenities, although the motel is a little old fashioned. Receptionist is friendly and helpful. Good eating spots nearby. Love the location so close to Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens. Motel is just outside the city center.

Had a comfortable 3 night stay here. Room was spacious. Friendly reception helped us out when we accidentally put something important in the bin. Clinton was helpful and friendly and made the stay delightful. This is a good reasonably priced average motel, there was a single and queen bed with reasonable space. It is in a great location with several eating options within easy walking distance.

The Camelot is very central to the city, Merivale & nearby hospitals. My room was upgraded and had lots of space for just me! Room was warm and bed was cosy & comfortable.
