Lock Haven Grandview Hotel

Our room was spotless ! Newly renovated. We would definitely have enjoyed spending more time here. I’m sure they will plan on it but, they need to put a tv in the bedroom side so you can lay in bed to watch tv. There was also no additional items for the kitchen (plates, cutlery, ice cube trays) but that didn’t bother us.

This property is apparently remodeled recently. Rooms have vinyl floor planking, pretty nice. There is no office, look for an email and text with a code to open the door. Full size appliances in the kitchen. Nice and clean.

The stay was ok. It had kitchen but no dishes, cups, silverware and the keypad was loose and bathroom knob was loose. No hair dryer, iron. Needed TV in bedroom. It was clean. Not worth the price I paid.

The property was clean and close to restaurants, stores, and gas stations. The property had a full kitchen, but it doesn't include any utensils, dishes, pots/pans, etc. This is a bit inconvenient for people who are traveling and staying a few days.

this property was very convenient to a graduation at Penn state. the room was recently updated and very comfortable. I would encourage them to include pots and pans and utensils for longer stays and stools for sitting at the kitchen island. there was no hair dryer so I'm glad I brought my own. labeling the light switches would be helpful too as I couldn't remember which one went with which. check in and parking were wicked easy. and Walmart is across the street along with a gas station. it's 5 minutes to downtown Lock Haven. anytime I reached out to the owner I had a response in minutes which is more than I can say for any other place I've ever stayed. we will be glad to stay here again

There is no one there to check you in as a remote check in they send you a code for the door lock did you have to provide your own eyes as there’s none on the property? The room itself is fine except the air conditioner is located in the living room, and it has to cool the bathroom bedroom in the back also the lights in the bedroom or across the room from the bed as there’s no outlet by the bed.

Newly renovated with a full modern kitchen (no pans, silverware or plates, though, so I could not make full use of it) and a tiny living room. It seems more suitable for longer stays, such as using it as a dorm for a few months.

I always pack my own food when traveling (hiking), so a full size kitchen and/or full size fridge/freezer is always my preference. This place must be newer, because I would have going in here in the past if I knew about it. Room was clean, easy to park, easy instructions texted to me in the afternoon for accessing the room. No problems. In the evening, I could hear some loud engine noises from trucks going by on the road, but I didn’t notice while sleeping. I always use a bluetooth speaker with nature sounds or white noise anyway when at hotels. Although my body is used to harder surface for sleeping, I could tell the bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. Overall, perfect for my travel (solo) and would definitely stay again. I wish there were more places like this where is more like a motel with drive uo access, but with full kitchens (similar to Canyon View Motel in Wellsboro).

The room wreaked of cigarette smoke, it was suffocating. The carpet was disgusting, someone’s shoes were left in the closet so the cleaners clearly didn’t look there. Sheets were clean but stained. Floor was uneven so you’d trip. Definitely won’t stay here again.

Upon arrival my room was visible unclean. Bed sheet had stains and hair on it with spills. The room smelled horrible upon entry. After staying there for two days I realized the smoke smell and odor was coming through bathroom vents. I had to block the bathroom door so that the smell will not enter into the bedroom and kitchen space. The walls are thin. There is a lot of people living in this hotels. Neighbors left there dogs in the hotel and they were barking at the middle of the night. If you want to hear sex through the walls this is your place. I did not get any rest woke up exhausted every morning. I gave 2 stars because management was responsive and able to correct the problem with dirty sheet but the housekeeper would take my towels and still leave me dirty towels with stains on it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Overall, we had a very good stay. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen with a full size fridge, stove, and microwave were amazing to have. We didn’t use them but it was awesome to see. Downside, garbage in the can was left by the previous travelers and was missed by the cleaning staff. There isn’t an office to go to, but the person on duty is just a call away and very accommodating. I will be staying here again soon.

Reviews for this hotel are not accurate. Our family travels about 50 nights per year and leave accurate reviews of our stays. Rooms are dated — hot water did not work in shower - several gnats and spiders in the unit. Bed was comfortable and we made the best of our stay. No on-site management - person we texted for entry to unit seems friendly and courteous. Please make your own judgment but we would not rate this as an excellent facility. It was similar to a hotel that should cost 40-50 a night.

So many things went wrong. When we arrived we had been driving for several hours. To our dismay, there was no toilet paper in the room. I called the contact person for our stay and asked if we were supposed to have brought our own. 10 minutes later a young man arrived with our toilet paper. By then we were dying to go. We were exhausted, used the bathroom, and quickly went to bed. In the morning, we realized there was only one towel in the room and it was *very obviously used.* In short, the night before when we went to bed we had dried our hands and faces on SOMEONE ELSE’S FILTHY TOWEL. We were beyond grossed out. The more I think about it the madder & madder I get. We left immediately. I complained of course. I hope to God our bedding had at least been changed. They gave us $100 back, but they should’ve issued a complete refund. Thanks for the $100 bucks lady, doesn’t fix the fact I wiped my face on some strangers backside. Thanks for ruining our trip. She said she would “remind the staff.” Big frickin’ deal. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER in my life.

Rooms smells a bit like smoke…

The rooom was spacious, the beds comfy, there was a full size refrigerator and stove. I liked the separate sitting area and separate bedroom. The room smelled like stale smoke/ Marijuana, the toilet had dried feces on the bowl, the bathroom trash hadn't been emptied and there was a used condom in it, thede was a half eaten sandwich left in the refrigerator.

Is is my 4th stay at this property and not pleased this time around. Our sheets were soiled with some liquid and or something. Hair on the floor etc. Not happy at all. Photos to follow.

We stayed one night. The room was clean. However; it was very noisy. The noise from the laundry room and people coming and going outside was extremely loud and annoying. It has a kitchen which was nice; however, it would’ve been convenient to have utensils/plates provided as the kitchen was useless without those. Finally, there was an open container of iced tea left in the refrigerator. Not sure why that wasn’t thrown away by the cleaning crew prior to our arrival. It was a good location for our needs and was clean aside from the leftover iced tea.

Large. Clean and quiet. Very convenient location. Television was in Spanish. Call my um. The internet did not work well to stream television, and I was unable to put the cable on because there was a parental olock on the television

Room was clean and updated. Carpet could use a scrub tho. The heat/ac unit was in the living room which worked great but no unit in the bedroom so it was a bit stuffy. Would definitely stay there again tho and recommend it.

Quiet clean and comfy. Co ve ie t bùt thentelevision was all in spa ish with parental locks so i could not turn onto cable tv. Streaming did not work due to slow internet or unconnected

Just ok place. Walls are paper thin so can hear all the neighbors conversations. Not sure why this place has an excellent rating?? It is nice but just average.

3rd time stayed here and great as usual. Would stay again. I rarely ever have issues with the hotels/motels themselves. It’s the other guests which are usually the issue with their lack of awareness to the noise they create. Or, in this case, the dog(s) they travel with that constantly bark when they leave them alone in the room. Not the dog’s fault, was probably anxious. This was in room right next to me so no way to cover that sound with anything else. Will just request next time to maybe not place me in a room where there will be dogs right nearby if possible. The amusing part about it…this dog was barking like it was trying to say “I love you” 😄. Also, the AC/Heat unit is in the entry room only so may take some setting of the fan on high to get air back toward the bedroom on hotter days. I haven’t had any comfort issues with this myself though.

When we got settled and sat on the couch there was a strong odor of urine. Couldn't even sit near the couch area. There is no tv in the bedroom had to get the folding chair out my car to watch tv. Definitely needs to be looked at other then that it was ok, looks newly updated. It is was odd there is no office. Got a text with room number and door code.

The check in process is super easy. The room was very clean. The only downside was no TV in the bedroom (there is one in the living room area).

2nd time staying here and will still continue to stay here when in the area. I like the contactless checkin/checkout. Wish there were more places like these around in PA where is like a motel, but has the full size kitchen.

The room was nicely set up with a kitchenette and living area separate from the sleeping area. The hotel was clean and quiet. Virtual check-in and check-out was a breeze. Will definitely stay there again!

Kayla was an enormous help and very professional in her demeanor. We had a very good experience at the hotel and will come again.

This was the perfect place for a quick weekend trip! The staff were so nice and helpful! I definitely will be coming back again.

Beautiful room, very clean, right off the main highway and close to state college which was where I was headed.

Lisa was very nice over the phone and helpful when we didn’t have a remote control for the tv. When we pulled up there were 3 state troopers trying to evict an unruly woman and then the people staying next door were screaming and cursing loudly which was scary to my daughter and I. Will never go there again.

The room was clean, and spacious. We liked having a door code instead of a key, or keycard. They do allow pets, which is great, but unfortunately in our case the next room over had a dog that was barking constantly into the night, and early morning. However facility staff immediately answered our request to talk to the owner, and get the dog to stop barking eventually.

Property is older and needs some maintenance. It was clean and good for a quick stay. Noisy area and “neighbors” both nights. Good communication with management.

I stayed 1 night following an event in Mill Hall. Good communication with Lisa. Overall good stay. There is a full kitchen so I assumed there would be kitchen supplies, my mistake, not a big deal but if you plan to cook just be sure to being everything you will need. Walmart is across the street which was very convenient. Only other thing to note would be there is not a blowdryer at least I couldnt find one, so be sure to bring one if you need it.

Stayed for a baseball tournament. Could walk to the field if needed. Only really needed a place to shower and sleep however having the washer and dryer on site was great.

Clean comfortable and super convenient to all.
