Kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast was good. Easy for the softball tournament my daughter had. Not too far away for both locations.

Hotel is outdated but very clean and very well kept, hotel staff are all very nice. The hotel states they are pet friendly and in my experience normally fo not upcharge. This hotel does upcharge 40 dollars per pet. There are other hotels in the area that do not upcharge. I also understand that the possibility of extra cleaning is a factor so i dont mind paying.

This hotel is very shabby and run down. The pool is in very rough shape, but it was fairly clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful, although when our toilet clogged they sent my 13yo upstairs with a plunger wrapped in a plastic shopping bag. The dishes in our room were put away dirty. Overall, we were thankful to have found a hotel with a pool that could accommodate 5 people in a room, and they did a great job on breakfast.

Very helpful, courteous, professional staff! Fitness center was tiny and exercise equipment was jammed too close together to use. We had to drive to Medina to a Planet Fitness

Friendly desk attendant. Glad to see a small fee for our dog who would never do any damage $45. Would stay here again with our dog just for that reason!!! Everywhere else we’ve stayed has been $75. The desk person thought he was a service dog as he was so quiet and well behaved!

Pool had broken wires and light in water and kids playing with it . The drywall in swimm area is falling apart and mold all over . And the pool had black mold all over . The room had 317 had bad window leaks and could hear the wind blowing outside and the noise of highway and could not lock . and torn couch with rip and mold and old food in and on the microwave. And fridge was so needing defrosted and could not use the freezer and smelled . Also shower head was clogged and hard water blocked the holes and leaked when trying to adjust .when place is not the worst but is in need of some updating . People were very nice and to the girls that did breakfast did an outstanding job very nice and was very good food and no issues . And a lot of variety scrambled eggs and potatoes and sausage and oranges juice. The only other thing was the bed that was a queen had spring issues and was bouncy and the bed kept hitting the wall every time you moved and squeak. For the price of $83 it was not that bad but some things need to be done around there. And the pool is an amenity that people live but needs to be shut down and painted and repaired and made safe asap

The staff was friendly and premiss overall clean, the carpet was raveling and the couch was worn and ripped. The fitness room is a box with a couple of pieces of old equipment and weights are basically nonexistent. Good for pulling off the highway and close to event .

had a loud humming sound coming from somewhere near our room. told the nice lady at the desk and she immediatly changed our room to other side of building and up a floor. told us she thought she found the problem and put 1st room out of order to be checked. missed the pool due exhaust fan issue the day before. breakfast was hot. will defiantly try this hotel again despite mnor issues

When we walked in the building, there was a very musty odor. The room was dim and dreary, not at all what it looks like on the website. The staff was friendly, but after we checked in, we decided to go elsewhere. Very disappointing.

Maybe I’m used to a little bit nicer hotel but I’d def skip this one next time. It was outdated and smelled of old cigarettes and musty mildew.

There were stains throughout, on sheets, carpet, and a large one on the pullout mattress. Animal hair on the bed cover. A large bug. And the bathroom was old. It was fine for a two star hotel, but not very clean.

Bed was horrible my back hurts so bad today. Bugs everywhere in hotel. Hairs in shower. Big bug in kitchen area. Smelled like wet dogs, all over. Breakfast wasn’t bad. Had options.

I was surprised about the uncleanliness of this hotel since so many of the reviews rave about how clean it was. I will not stay here again and would encourage others who have experienced this to share so others know.

Hotel needs updating but for the price it was a great stay. Friendly staff. Clean room. Good breakfast. Close enough to the interstate but still quiet. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Although this property is dated it was clean and staff were friendly. Unfortunately the noise level from other guests was unacceptable. Partially due to the thin ceilings and walls. When trying to reach front desk about the excessive noise there was no response. We had to go down to the front desk and the situation was rectified. Probably won’t be our first choice next time we stay in the area.

Didnt like the tv needs a menu of whats on and what time

Hotel looks newer from the outside, but inside is a little worn down. Not usually one to complain about “just a bed for the night”, but room seemed musty/dank, and the AC unit blew the air up into the curtains and not really into the room. Bed and pillows weren’t super comfortable, but we managed. Shower was good. Check in/out was quick and easy with friendly staff. Wouldn’t recommend for an “extended stay”, but it will get you through a night.

Very spacious suite. Room was clean. Staff was friendly and attentive to a need while we were there.

Breakfast left a little to be desired. The food wasnever hot. And the soundproofing bwtween floors is poor. Two nights i was woken up by people walking around over my room.

They are very rude and when i called to see if i had left my laptop i was told it wasnt there and i accepted that. The front desk clerk was very rude and the geeneral nanager called me back and was extremely rude and accused me of accusing thm of stealing my laptop she raised her voice to me and wouldnt let me talk at alll. I had asked for another room and was told no after the fire alarm went off. She also said that the front desk clerk had a right to be rude with me because he had to evacuate the entire hotel due to the fire alarm going off when he never evacuated the hotel he also threatened to charge me for opening the window to get the smoke out . The stove didnt work properly and was told its normal for you to have to turn the knob 6 times to get it to come on. And the worst of it was the general manager hung up on me when i got rude back i called back and she continued to be rude with me and when i asked for corporates number i got told to look it up because she wasnt giving it to me. The fire department had to come out and turn the fire alarm off and told me they respond to this hotel about 200 times a month because of the fire alarm and that taking a hot shower will even set the alarm off. We left early and asked for a refund because of how we was traeted and was told no. This hotel should not be allowed to be open and is obviously not up to code if the shower will set the smoke alarm off. I will never book with this hotel again

The receptionist who checked me in wasn’t very nice. Room was decent, but the shower/tub faucet was loose and was difficult to use.

We were moving from NYC to southwest Illinois (close to St. Louis. Due to traffic, it took us 3 hours just to get out of NYC. Then weather slowed traffic even further. We called Hawthorn Suites and let them know that due to the delay we might be arriving after midnight. We were told that since we booked through a third party, Expedia, they would not hold the reservation and we could not check in after midnight. When it became apparent we were not going to make it by their deadline we had to find another hotel. We lost all of our $ Hawthorn. Awful way to treat people with a reservation when storms and traffic make a moving day even longer. Very rude. Will never consider staying with them.

The girl that was on the front desk (they said her name was probably Mary) Friday Saturday and Sunday, was such a pleasure. I told the girl that was on the desk Monday when we checked out that i would miss Mary's smile. I'm hoping her name was Mary cause don't want to give the wrong person her credit. I ask her Sunday if she lived there because she had been there the first three days tha we stayed. She was always so bubbly. I had 2 complaints and she was right on them and solved them. It was a fantastic stay

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at, period. We were lucky to get checked in by the general manager who was an excellent and empathetic communicator. In the short time we were there, we got to observe the staff and how they interacted as a team to provide a great experience for guests. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was quite good. Yes, the place needs some cosmetic upgrades, but the present condition does not impact comfort or safety in the least.

The breakfast was very good. Those ladies were very polite and very helpful. However, the night manager, that was there when we were there was a little on the rude side. Other than that, it was nice quiet stay

2nd stay here. Customer service top notch. Nice kitchen dinette area in the room- very clean. The area I supercheck for cleanliness is in the floor corners in the bathroom. That was the only place I felt could use some attention or would have given a 5 for cleanliness. Also had an issue with the toilet water running. Fortunately my husband knew how to fix it, which he did a couple of times including 5 am. Otherwise would have given a 5 for facilities. I am sure if we had requested they would have fixed it but we took care of it ourselves and told them at checkout. Breakfast buffet area was well stocked and meticulous. Even had hot chocolate- a plus for me. Would definitely recommend and return.

Convenient location and nice area to explore and do some antiquing while in the area.

The hotel is nice, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. My only issue is that the hotel seems to be in the middle of a small industrial park, and places to eat, (other than 1 or 2 fast food joints) are very limited. But other than that, I enjoyed my stay, and everyone I dealt with was friendly.

Convenient location off highway, clean, nice lobby, nice staff at front desk

Area around the hotel is boring. Dining and shopping options are very limited. I was probably tired after 5 hours’ driving. I did have a good night sleep. The room is quite dated. Someone was running around at the floor above and it’s uncomfortable loud. Though it is very close to I-76, freeway noise is quite low. Breakfast is OK and they offer breakfast takeout. Overall for the price I paid, it’s a good value.

Clean and very well laid out property convenient to I-76 and I-71. Many reataurant choices within10 miles of proprrty.

Easy access to interstate, and parking. Only downside was only two dining options: DQ and Hardee’s.

Right off the interstate and still a quiet rural area. Nice park nearby. Not too many restaurants but an excellent pizza place. Hotel very nice, clean, quiet, friendly people.

Hawthorne Suites Akron Seville: the entire hotel seemed squeaky-clean! Even the elevator smelled fresh! The room was large and well-equipped with a small dining table and kitchenette. The bed was on the soft side but comfortable. Service was great, very pleasant and helpful. Signage on the hotel AND on the street was not lit; as a result we initially drove past the turn because the other hotel sign was visible but Hawthorne's was dark and we had arrived at night. Only a few casual dining options nearby. Breakfast was paltry compared to other places we stayed: scrambled eggs and hash browns doled out by staff, bread/English muffins. No fresh fruit, cereal or yogurt that we saw. On the whole, a good stay and I'd stay there again.

Great breakfast, kid friendly!

On both morning the items for breakfast were below average to poor , the sausage patties and links were cold, the potatoes were cold and not very tasty. we did not get fresh towels or body wash or shampoo in our room. i was not impressed.

Breakfast should be hotter, it was like warm at best. Otherwise it was good.

The stay was about average for what I am used to. The hotel was clean, but showing its age. The staff were excellent, though the room wasn't serviced like I thought it should have been. This was the first hotel in recent memory that had a decent shower head. Breakfasts were edible but not hot.

The staff person that checked me in was amazing. She was very friendly and had great suggestions. The hotel offered local baked goods for sale in the lobby which was a very nice touch and the baked goods were fantastic. The breakfast was excellent and the woman serving breakfast was very nice. The room was comfortable and clean and I loved the kitchenette. The hotel was very quiet.
