Lovely, lovely place. Easily the most pleasant stay in our 4 week stay in Japan. Everything's designed to make feel you welcome and have an unforgettable experience. Staff is extremely helpful, gentle and welcoming. Breakfast buffet is something special, an experience worth living, honestly. For us the only downside is that our room felt very old, it could use a slight renovation, or maybe it's just meant to be like that. Also it's all very family friendly, and they have a shuttle service that takes you from and to Nagano station, which is really helpful. A lovely, lovely place indeed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Outstanding – One of the Best Hotels We’ve Ever Stayed At! The Mercure Nagano Resort exceeded every expectation and was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The hotel is perfectly situated on the outskirts of the city, making it incredibly easy to access, with plenty of free parking and the convenience of being able to come and go at any time of the day or night. It’s the perfect base for exploring the region while enjoying a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast deserves a special mention—it was, without question, the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had anywhere in the world. The selection was simply incredible, with an enormous variety of Western favourites alongside authentic Japanese, Chinese, and other Asian dishes. Every morning felt like dining at a premium restaurant, and there was something new to try each day. For anyone visiting during ski season, the facilities are outstanding. The hotel has dedicated ski and snowboard drying rooms, secure lockers, modern self-service laundry facilities with new washers and dryers, and excellent male and female onsens that were the perfect way to relax after a day on the slopes. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. We travel frequently and stay in hotels all over the world, and Mercure Nagano Resort has set a new benchmark. If we could give it more than five stars

Very old hotel. Old rooms and bathrooms. Very desapointed. Large choice at breakfast, but crawded. Ticket machine every where

The hot spring was definitely an incredible treat!! Breakfast buffet was excellent!! Staff were helpful. The afternoon and evening happy hours were nice!

Great place for the price. Group onsen and evening lounge included free. Sauna too. The only thing was that the room same was advertised as non smoking but smelled of cigarettes. Hotel staff switched our room but the new room... While a little better... Unfortunately also smelled of cigarettes. Other thank this it was a great stay. Quiet. And a great community atmosphere in the free evening lounge.
