It’s a big property right on Lake Biwa. We were quite happy with our roomy room on the 10th floor with a nice morning view on the lake. The hotel gets quite busy though, so many of the amenities are a bit harder to enjoy - lots of people at the onsen, gaming area gets quite busy too. The local souvenir shop is actually reasonably priced. The concierge went out of his way to help us organise an activity in Hikone and guided us on the best way to get there. Would recommend but I’d avoid weekends and Japanese school holidays.

Stayed twice in 2018 and 2026. Both times, the staff were warm and helpful. The bathing facilities are clean and well-stocked with amenities. The outdoor bath/ rotemburo is beautifully landscaped. In 2026, the upgraded facilities were modern and elegant. Lounge featuring refreshing beverages was relaxing. New beautiful yukata and slipper sets, including children’s sizes. Happy hour and nightcap in lobby with free drinks, snacks, beer, wine, sake, spirits. Breakfast: nicely features local specialties Transportation: free shuttle bus to Nagahama eki/station. Love the thoughtful amenities: family-friendly baby cribs, tray carts for seniors

Room was very clean, great service to freshen towels, linen. Breakfast is excellent, especially the smoked salmon and the salad bar. Staf very polite and very helpful! Location is great as a base for doing day excursions. 7 minute walk to the nagahama train station west gate.
