the faculty was very clean. We were slightly disappointed that the pool was out of service. Although that won't stop us from visiting again. The breakfast was disappointing and the desk person did apologize for the meagre offerings. The central location is perfect for us as out of province visitors.

Booked this last minute due to change in plans, great rate and it was only one night, Rooms have been renovated and seemed cleaned, although there was a smell. The rooms now have laminate flooring instead of carpet so it smelled like a dirty mop was used to clean. No elevator so you need to carry your bags up the stairs. Hallways were semi renovated, it was a strange maze of stairs and dirty stained carpets to get to the pool which was really dated. Breakfast was ok, very limited selection and in a small room.

A basic property without any bells and whistles. A clean bed and a modest breakfast for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the parking lot was full when we arrived so we were directed to park at the grocery store next door. Once we were in the lobby, we were greeted by a very friendly and efficient front desk clerk. Our room was a few doors down from the lobby and it was very loud. The guest room doors are on heavy springs and slam loudly every time someone exits or enters. The large rooms are modestly decorated and feature built-in A/C. There were no hooks or towel racks in the bathroom, which was strange and inconvenient. The complimentary self-serve breakfast was in a cramped room near the lobby and featured hardboiled eggs, homefries, sausage patties, yogourt, toast, cereal, and juice. The food was not terribly warm and many of the items had run out by the time we got there, which was the peak of the breakfast hours. There was food spilled on most of the surfaces in the serving area and the garbage was overflowing. There was a handful of dining tables in a tiny adjoining room and a few more near the lobby. All were occupied so we took our food to our rooms. The Coastal Inn is proudly Canadian with front desk staff who bring Maritime charm to their work and pass it along to their guests.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, restaurant right beside hotel was good, also a grocery store right beside us. The pool was small, but nice to have a swim after a long day of traveling. The thing we did not like was how useless the mini fridge was. Good if you have pops or bear, but we had a full cooler of food that we can normally easily fit into a mini fridge at our other hotels, not here. And no ice box in it. Breakfast was good. Hot pancakes, sausage, tater tots, hard boiled eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt, juice and tea or coffee to choose from. We would stay again if needing a stop through place.

Staff during check in were amazing. We received a recently renovated room that was both clean and comfortable with a fully stocked bathroom. Be both slept well and beds were comfortable. There was a St Louis Bar and Grill in the parking lot, which was convenient for dinner. I don't have any complaints about our stay here.

Cleaning was not finished. Glass on the floor. House keeping took so long to come clean we had to finally go down and talk to the overworked front desk person to get help. Pool was right outside our room (bad luck). Spent the entire evening and into the night hearing the door slam (you should close your pool earlier if your rooms are right next to the pool). No sound proofing. Not a win.

This place need to be cleaned and renovated. Condition of the bath would divert indefinitely any of your wishes to take a shower, and dirt on the bathroom floor will make you think twice before using facility. Air conditioning from forty years ago so noisy, feel like sleeping in tractor. Walls have seen better days as well, with dust bunnies bouncing from them making your staying experience really UNFORGETTABLE.

We did late check in and I would say that the check in service was good. Front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. The floor of the room we got was not clean at all. There was literally hair and other staffs on the floor. We had kids with us and their feet were all dirty just by walking on the floor. We had to clean it ourselves which was not nice at all.

First off, the staff were all absolutely outstanding. Friendly and helpful. Zero issues. Kudos to all. My main criticism is just that the property is aged and things are permanently stained and dirty. I was greeted by a little beetle crawling on the floor the second I entered my room. Just a beetle, I squished him and kicked him into the hallway. OK. The carpet in my room was beyond disgusting. I wouldn’t even put my socks on it. I skipped my physio exercises because there wasn’t a floor surface I would dream of putting anything on but shoes. Plaster on the ceiling had a large missing section. The box spring had visible, gross stains as did the top blanket. Yucky old sofa I wouldn’t lay a jacket or bag on. As a result I was just not relaxed the entire time in the room. And folks, my standards aren’t unrealistic or I would never book budget hotels to start with. Seemed like there were a lot of kids and families loudly jabbering and running around the hallways late-ish (10 is getting to quiet time for me, hahaha), and more importantly the door to the room did nothing to muffle hallway sound, it may as well have been open. I was there for a one night stopover while passing through and the price was right. Anymore than 13 hours would be too long. And honestly next time passing through I’ll pay more to stay somewhere else.

The room was comfortable and clean aside from some (blood?) stains on the carpet. However the rooms extremely poor lighting made it feel dingy, it was dark and most of the light came from about 4 lamps with dim bulbs and seperate switches. The breakfast was mostly limited to apples, toast and cereal. They had sausage rounds and pancakes but the pancakes were cold and they were only bringing out the sausage four at a time, causing them to run out in seconds.

The check-in and the check-out was awesome. The air conditioner is right where the curtains is and make them flow. The breakfast was horrible. There was nothing left except bread, apple and yogourt. when we arrives at 9h20. The breakfast is open until 10 am. The table and the floor where we eat was dirty.
