I felt like this hotel, although beautiful from the outside just didn't offer much. We don't golf and honestly, there was just not a lot in the area. We are from the US and people were not very nice. It was also incredibly expensive and I found the same room on the website the day we checked in for 1/2 the price and neither hotels.com nor the hotel would help us out with even an upgrade or a lake view. We paid over $1000 for 2 nights at this place and looked out over a courtyard! Also, if you want to park your own car, get ready. There was never parking close by so we had to park at the P9 lot. This was up about 100 stairs. I'm not kidding, there were a ton of stairs which we had to walk up 4 times. Ridiculous that they wouldn't reserve parking closer to the hotel for guests. Instead, casino guests could park there. I just felt this hotel did not prioritize it's guests.

Very big complex, beautifully maintained rooms and common areas. Found the service for dinner at the bar and restaurants problematic. Took 30-45 min to receive a cheese plate. We also asked for two glasses of wine which we didn’t receive. The waitress offered us free cocktails and followed up often on our order but could only get us the wine after we finished our dish. By then, it was too late. We also had a terrible time trying to find parking. All the free parking lots were always full and we had to pay for the underground parking at the casino. Priority should be given to those saying at the hotel. We have reservations again in March and I am wondering if I should cancel them.

Nice place, great view on the St-Laurence River. Easy to go to the Casino by the underground tunnel. Superb Gym! Pool, spa, outdoor heated pool… everything is awsome.

We were at the Manoir Richelieu for two nights to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We have stayed at other Fairmont hotels in the past. At the price we paid, we were expecting the best but were disappointed. Our room was excellent. It was large, very clean and had a beautiful view of the river although it was difficult taking photographs because of condensation on the window. We had excellent meals at the two restaurants but even with a reservation there were long line-ups to get in and then we had to wait a long time to get service. However, on our anniversary dinner in the St. Laurent after we had waited over 20 minutes for any service, the supervisor/Maitre-d', recently arrived from France, came to our rescue and ensured that we were looked after for the rest of the evening. Parking was abyssmal. The closest available lot was inaccessible due to construction so we were forced to parking P8 which was a long hill climb away. We could not find the location of the pool as there are no signs for the pool.

nous sommes venus séjournes une nuit au sein de votre hôtel. La vue est à couper le souffle cela est indéniable. Cependant nous avons été énormément déçu concernant la chambre: La vue sur le toit laisse à désirer Concernant la chambre nous avons été surpris de trouver des cheveux dans la bonde de la salle de bain (photo à l’appuie)et de la poussière sur les lampes de chevet.. Pour terminer une boîte de nuit probablement voisine nous avons entendu une grande partie de la nuit la musique ce qui est relativement peu agréable pour un hôtel de prestige. This is a gorgeous old hotel but it needs a little attention. The wallpaper in our room was peeling and the paint in the bathroom was also peeling. The hairdryer in the room didn’t work. The staff was polite, but not warm. One of the lamps on the bedside was broken. It just needs some TLC. The barista in the basement cafe looked like she had never used a milk frother in her life. I think I just expected more from The Fairmount. On the bright side, the amenities are great and plentiful and the location is absolutely stunning. A little investment and care would go a long way to making this beautiful, historic place that much more special and spectacular.

Fabulous swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, gym, walking paths at different levels of difficulty, wonderful shops. Otherwise, I was disappointed. Very slow service and often not very customer oriented. Same price rooms can vary a lot in quality of view. I could at times hear some distant low tone mechanical or booming noise from my (inferior) water view room, including after midnight.

Huge bus loads of people for breakfast. You need to wait in lines. Magnificent outside but my room deluxe king river view was very old and needed update. Jacuzzi tub from the 80’s. Very disappointing.

Beautiful grounds and overall good stay. However, they had a technical issue where the cafe could not charge things directly to the room number and the manager came up to the staff member and in front of us, the guests, was very abrubt and rude. Customer service on this was not good and I felt for the nice lady who was serving us. He needed to take a step back and relax and be polite to the staff.

Notre chambre n’était pas prête à 16h00. La préposée à l’accueil ne s’est même pas excusée, n’avait même pas l’air désolée. L’hôtel était bondé de monde, c’est la longue fin de semaine. Après m’avoir dit que ça ne prendrai que 10 minutes et que je recevrai un texto, nous avons attendons 35 minutes avant de nous présenter au comptoir. A notre surprise, la chambre était prête! Ils nous ont donné un petit déjeuner buffet en guise d’excuses.

Le service n’était pas très bon. Les délais pour se faire servir un verre au bar du Hall, par exemple, était tellement long que nous devions aller au bar pour commander directement. Le service de valet avait aussi des difficultés et les délais étaient long. Le lit et les oreillers n’étaient pas confortables. Séjour agréable, mais n’est pas à la hauteur du prix et de ce que l’on connaît de cet établissement.

Initial issue with room at check-in was dealt with quickly and professionally. Very satisfied. Bar/restaurants were lightly staffed. A bit slow, distracted. After cleaning the room, no replacements of glassware, coffee mugs, additional coffee. Checkout great, pool area great. I still recommend this location.

Very remote but worth the trip. An old-world hotel with views of the expansive St.Lawrence River everywhere. Bellerive-one of the hotel restaurants—excellent and reasonable price. Most (but not all) staff spoke English and were friendly. Didn’t encounter other Americans there, which added to the experience. Room was reasonably price.

There were limit things to do for a Fairmont property. This is a much smaller resort than I expected. There was limited staff members on hand, so we had to continually wait. There was not much to do. For dinner, I found the restaurant overpriced for mediocre food. Did not eat in the breakfast restaurant. For the price, I would stay elsewhere next time.

The hotel was nice and as enjoyable as I remembered. The food options are limited and the prices for the items are over inflated. The choice to just get a nice steak or chicken dish are not on the menu. They have a few main dishes that are meant to be impressive. They are not appealing. Then at the casino the StHubert is avg. So the facility is very nice. The food options are acceptable but not up to par. We did explore the town and had a great meal with more options for a better price. The outdoor pool and spa are just awesome. A very unique stay and fun place overall.

Room rate + $35 daily resort fee made it expensive for what we got. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable but little things like no bottled water included were an irritant. Had dinner at the restaurant one evening...it was disappointing. There was a convention going on so I guess that caused nearer parking lots to be always full...the further ones were quite a distance from the main building. Overall impression, not worth the money.

I enjoyed my stay but was a bit dissatisfied with the lack or paucity of vegetarian options in both restaurants as well as the bar. In the diverse menu of the bar, they were out of the edemame for the duration of my stay and my choices were limited to a salad and french fries.
