Super 8 by Wyndham Ajax/Toronto On

The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was a highlight as well. I didn’t use the gym but it’s right next to the pool in the lobby. There was also plenty of free parking as well. I really have no complaints. This room and hotel fit exactly what we needed at a good price.

Squeaky bathroom door would not close, and the elevator was inoperative for most of one day. And since I was on the 4th floor, it was a tough trek for me to get up and down the stairs.

Had a comfortable stay. Place is quiet and clean. Swimming pool and laundry facility is in full operation. Breakfast has good variety. I would definitely return.

Property is a bit dated. No usb outletbin room. Breakfast was good, lots of options. Decor and general condition is just showing wear. Pool is good, was a bit odd that there were people giving swimming lessons to persons not staying in hotel. Price and convenient location to GO train & 401. Would stay there again.

Cannot go wrong for the cost. Needed a place to sleep after a long drive. Beds were decent, rooms were clean, parking was free, breakfast included. Would certainly recommend.

Elevator needs to be replaced. Otherwise all good.

We got stuck in the elevator then it was out of service for the rest of our stay. 4 floors with luggage can be difficult . Beds were comfy but property could use some updating .

Would not recommend staying here. At check in we were given no information regarding the hotel. ( pool opening and closing time, breakfast time, where the elevator is...)I was litterly handed the key card and was told "your room number is ___". The hallways smelled, carpets were very stained and duct tape was used to hold wall corner protectors on. Our room floor was clearly not cleaned and our feet got dirty walking on the floor leading to dirt in the bed. Private swim lessons were happening in the tiny pool which prevented the children from using the pool as the pool is not large enough for lessons and play swim to be happening at the same time. At check out I waited a good 5-10 minutes for the reception to actually come to the front desk as he was to busy chatting with another coworker (and he was I was waiting). While I was waiting a man came into the hotel and was waiting a good distance away from me. When the reception finally came, he walked right in front of me to the men standing and asked him if he was checking out. He completely ignored me and it was obvious the other man and myself were not together and I was waiting infront of the reception desk and this man was not. Once the man was helped the reception ignored me walked away and entered the reception area. I then had to say that I was not with the man and that I wanted to check out. I got absolutely no respect or care from the man at reception. Apparently being a female without a man at this hotel does not earn

Absolutely horrible experience at this hotel. The first room we had the dead bolt in the door was broken, the room was filthy, paint was peeling off the walls, the towels literally had spots on them, the ceiling fan was being held up with tape and was disgusting. There was mold throughout the bathroom. Switched to a different room, and when we woke up and hit the road, we were coated in bed bug bites. Staff should be ashamed of the state of this hotel.

The photos shown do not show the poor service in terms of cleanliness and upkeep. Our shower ceiling was fixed due to a leak but since it has not been retouched. You can tell that certain priorities have fallen on the way side. The floors in our room and around the hotel are sticky. It is disappointing given the photos shared on Expedia for the rooms, seem to be much more kept up.

The bed was the most decent clean thing. The tv in the bedroom did not work , sofas was filthy full of stains my mom had to use a towel to sit on the sofa. Also the radiator in the washroom was full of mold and who puts a sink outside the bathroom. Definitely will not be going back.

Hotel room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard. Refund was refused by management.

Bugs bugs bugs. The pool was nice. Lobby seemed ok until nightfall when a creepy man / pimp sat and directed the same skimpy dressed 3 women from room to room for services. Our room itself had minor cosmetic issues but then upon moving the pillows we found BEDBUGS. Staff offered us another room, but with all carpeted hallways in the hotel we were absolutely not staying there. Grossed out and having to pack up our family late at night and find another hotel was very stressful!!

Do not recommend. Room was not clean. Zero maintenance for stuff that’s broken/missing. Looks like they don’t spend a dime on upkeep.

Our shower had mold above the shower head. The air conditioning fan/unit was full of mold and dust. I’d upload photos but there’s no option.

The room was dirty. The door had been previously busted open. The shower was dirty and the bottom of the bathroom door was coming apart. The bed covering was stained. The lamp on the table did not work and the lamp shade was damaged. I have never stayed in such a dilapidated room. Had it not been for the winter storm I would not have stayed there. There were also "questionable" ladies with rooms there. Total disaster!

Very clean room

The staff at this location were very friendly. The lobby was clean and modern, the rooms were in poor condition. The beds were very uncomfortable and the linens were low quality. The first impression of the room was a large missing mirror right inside the door and the bathroom door was peeling off. The hallways were stained.

Staff were very friendly! Breakfast was great and the staff were very attentive to needs. Building itself is very old and needs some upgrades, for example the a/c in the room we had was terrible it was either really cold or extremely hot, there was a lot of hair that was not ours in our bathroom, the beds were hard as a rock and the walls were paper thin you could hear everyone and it almost sounded as it the person above us was going to come through the ceiling. Kids enjoyed the pool but with the swimming lessons going on in the middle of their swim all the kids kept swimming into each other and the floors were very dirty. Again the staff were so nice!!

This hotel need renovation, rooms looking like 1950s very old, but price is high!! 40 to 50$ per night is fair, not 150$, the elevator sound very dangerous

Our floor smelt like smoke, the room was okay. Some updates but door was very water damaged. Air conditioning really worked well. Overall is was good- attempting to update. Simple breakfast and a pool.

I was offered an “upgraded room” by the desk clerk when I checked in. It was far from it! The room was very small, dirty and in poorly maintained, (I took pictures). The A/C sounded like a subway train leaving the station! There was absolutely no place to hang my clothing. Not impressed! My bad for not refusing immediately and demanding the room I had booked.

Door didn't lock , waited for 15 min before someone came to check in. Door was already opened and would not lock. Needed to get another room.

Property was good, any issues were noted and handled swiftly, and the texting option was fantastic for keeping both in-touch and commenting on any issues.

The service at the front desk is extremely poor The door to my room cannot close properly I ask for i receipt and was denied So if my bill is not what I expected I will dispute the claim. i can be reached at 647-996-4337

i arrived to check in .. no sign of staff .. waited.. called out.. another person told me he is in the back.. i called out numerous times.. he finally showed saying he was on the phone.. i suggested he put a note or something next evening others trying to find him .. again in the back

Forced to wait 2 hours in the lobby to check in after a 5 1/2 hour drive, as the "virtual card" from you (Expedia) was declined multiple times, and the front desk staff couldnt care less, just moved on assisting other people forcing me to be on the phone for nearly an hour. After showering, i had to wash my feet again after about an hour as the floors hadnt been mopped in lord knows how long. Last time painting and renovations were done, it was clearly done by someone with little to no experience...shoddy and unkempt Absolutely dreadful experience

The one staff member at the front desk was terrible… totally ignored that were people at the front desk waiting both at check in & check out. Waited 15 minutes to check in before someone even came! At check out the lobby was full of people waiting & no one came, threw my key on counter & left, don’t know how long other people waited! We stayed for 2 nights, room was not cleaned after 1st night. Asked for extra pillows & towels more than once. Had to go down & get our own! Don’t stay here!!!

Got off the elevator to walk to my room and there were multiple condoms in the wrapper (thankfully unused) on the carpet. The hotel is so dirty and run down and I only stayed since the bed was clean and it was too late to book elsewhere. When I arrived the staff was not around and I finally saw a person having their lunch in a dark conference room. Flagged him down and he eventually arrived to check me in. No apology for standing there 15 mins. Seems that the clientele are either young people who are there to party of alternative housing for those requiring temporary housing. Never again

You can walk to GoTrain from this property. Rooms were clean. Reception staff need more customer service training. They are multi tasking instead of concentrating on serving you. In my case my room had been paid thru Expedia. I was charged a second time for my room by the motel, which I have had to contact Expedia to contact the motel for my reimbursement. It has now been 5 days and I am still waiting for my refund on my credit card.

Close to everything, good place to stay for Blue Jays baseball.

Central Location

This property is quicklie accessible from the 401, but not too close! The town of Ajax is very nice and has beautiful lakeside parks to walk through. There are a number of good restaurants nearby with affordable prices. The hotel is reasonably priced, provides a good complimentary continental breakfast, and offers a nice pool and exercise facility.

Good location, plenty of amenities nearby. Good proximity to lakefront park. Busy road noise if room is at the front of the building. All the basics are covered.

Great place to stay if you plan on using the go train to attend events in Toronto. You can walk from the hotel to the go train.

It is close to the major highway with easy access

Quiet area very near the GO train. Staff is friendly and helpful. This is a well maintained hotel with comfortable rooms. I stay here with my son two or three times a year when we visit Toronto for a couple of nights from Ottawa.

The location is very close to the 401. Easy access. The property is very clean with nice amenities such as a pool and gym. The room rates were very reasonable for the GTA area.

This was a great spot! Clean, spacious room (we had a king suite) and almost next door to the Ajax Go station. Breakfast had lots of choices and staff was friendly.

I rented two rooms for friends from Japan. At checkin they said noises I had only 1 room despite shouting g them a payment receipt for two from hotels.com. Thankfully hotels helped One of my friends woke in the middle of the night to a torrent of water pouring into him from above. Both friends rooms were flooded and all their clothing and belongings were wet. The staff were reluctant to give them an alternative room and were very accusatory. When we talked about some form of compensation they refused and said use your own insurance. Never again will I stay at a super 8 or Wyndham

Great breakfast

Not sure why all the bad reviews. We stayed on 3rd floor the room was just fine. No issues at all a great air conditioner. Shower was cleaned good water pressure. Pool was spotless and warm Breakfast was exactly as advertised. Waffle maker, pastry, bagels, eggs, cereals, yogurt Everytime we were in or out someone was cleaning the floors windows that’s always a great thing to see the front lobby was spotless. The only complaint I had was the elevator. Incredibly slow we could walk upstairs and downstairs by the time it took us up to the 3rd floor All staff was great. The front desk manager left a note for the morning crew to allow us in 30 mins early for breakfast as we had a tight schedule. These are the things that I look for in customer service. Great stay would do again

Confortable beds, nice breakfast, near transportation

Great breakfast, kind staff. Place is a bit tired but it great bang for your buck. Rooms were clean. Mattress was old but I slept great. Clean updated washroom! Pool in a sunny atrium.
