Colonial Inn Seekonk

Very nice place for short stays. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The fridge needed some work it was freezing the contents like botted water. Room service was very good plenty of towels and bathroom supplies. A good addition to the place would be room safes. The doors have old-fashioned locks with keys that can be easily copied and there are no cameras to monitor the entrances. I was concerned about leaving my laptop in the room. We do plan to stay here again despite these shortcomings.

Staff is always wonderful, easy location, quiet and relaxing. Lovely pool.

Upgrade the entry for the rooms, the locks are dated and tough to open. Overall excellent for the price, would definitely stay again if I’m ever in that area again.

Great little old school motel/hotel. Nice outdoor pool. Just minutes from downtown Providence.

The room was in perfect condition. Everything worked fine & was in good shape & visually appealing. Water pressure in shower was amazing. Able to park car feet from the door. Pool was refreshing & clean. No complaints.( One suggestion is that room could use a full length mirror. I am 5 ft tall and could barely see myself in the bathroom mirror). Lots of dining & shopping available in the area.

Great hidden gem! Lovely all around. Staff is amazing and friendly, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are spacious. You can tell they take pride in this establishment. 100% would recommend this place. They even have a nice pool area with plenty of seating to relax, although it was too cold outside for me, personally to use the pool, it is available.

Our first night there our air conditioner leaked onto the floor. Front desk person brought us towels to glean up the water. We realized when we cleaned up the water with a white towel that the wood flooring was very dirty. I walked around our room with peds on my feet and they were very dirty after just an hour. The housekeeping is not cleaning the wood floors and there isn’t a mat inside the door to catch dirt. The bed was very comfortable and the rest of the room was clean.

Check in was quick and reception was accomodating. I accidently booked a smoking room and was able to change rooms for a few for the difference of the room. Sheets were a nice design and the laminate floor gave it an updated look. Sheets and room looked clean however there was a good amount of hair lingering from previous guests in the shower, floor bed skirt. Was not bothered enough to change rooms again. The walls were thin and can hear other guests all around me. But sounds quieted down after 11 so I was able to get a good night's rest. Inn is located in a convenient and safe location.

Stayed here back in the day never had a problem with bugs I stayed from march 28th to the 31st 3 days the room was comfy beds tv cable heat ac I liked all that but the floor was very sticky I had to wear slippers and shoes would never walk on this hard wood floor barefoot u could hear the stickyness anytime I lift ur foot up from the floor also their was a bunch of ants crawling in the bathroom I went to take a shower I opened up a brand new white towel 2 ants were in the middle of the towel folded up I kinda brushed it off no big deal cause the hotel is near the woods it’s life u may find a bug in ur room but then the next morning I go to use the bathroom I noticed 10 to 20 more ants crawling on the bathroom floor comeing out of a crack in the bathroom they were crawling on the heater baseboard their was one crawling on my girls hair straightener when we woke up I started notecieing a lot more ants when I started looking harder I saw them everywhere when I stayed back in the day they had carpet rooms I never saw bugs now it’s hardwood floors I personally like hotels better with carpet rooms but that’s just me maybe it was just that 1 room I stayed in it was room 128 I think the cleaning lady should mop the floors better instead of just sweeping it it needs to be mopped cause the stickyness on the floor clearly someone spilled something in that room would I stay here again yes probley besides the ants and sticky floor everything else was good was quiet for most part

Property was clean. Registration staff were very compassionate and eager to make sure our room and stay were as comfortable as possible. Excellent.

I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and i seen a roach. The bathroom was disgusting. The staff didn’t care and seemed to young to work there.

The staff was friendly but the room looked normal but the smell of cigarettes was unbearable. It was so bad that i woke up with a huge headache and even blood came out my nose. Horrible smell. But the staff was very nice.

One word sums it up: BEDBUGS

Very clean place that provided excellent value for the price. Near a lot of food places as well as a target, walmart etc...Only minor gripe was the tiny TV in the room but otherwise a great stay located close to Providence.

Very nice hotel. Room was updated and clean. Staff had nice touches with the decor, towel designs, etc. Bed was a little hard but i like extra plush. Furniture was comfortable in general. Good size fridge. 2 sinks.

The first room we were given had a moldy/ paint smell so I have requested a new room because there was no way to even breathe in that room. The very nice staff member was helpful and we transferred to the room in the main building. It was noisy but clean and without the other odor. You could smell the cleaner used in the bathroom but after opening the windows, the smell disappeared. It was a bit noisy since the ice machine was outside. So ask for a room in the main building I guess…

We've been staying at $200 a night and this has been way better. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Great shower.

My husband's stay was very nice. It is an older property, but definitely kept up. I received a call the day he was flying up, to ask whether he preferred smoking or non-smoking room, and that was so nice. He relayed the room was comfortable, people were all friendly, property was nice. His only negative was about the water pressure in the bathroom was not very strong. Everything else was great. Thank you.

Our first room had a broken bed and extremely loud neighbors. There was door leading to the other room which allowed us to hear the woman next door yelling on the phone at all hours and smell the cigarettes they smoked outside. I asked the front desk for a new room and they did it without question. The second room was much better with newer ac/heat unit. Bathroom was cleaner and fridge was newer. They placed us next to the staff room. You would think the staff would have common courtesy to not talk loudly in the morning but that wasn’t the case. You can hear their full conversations at 6am onwards through the wall/front door. At night our neighbors behind us kept slamming doors and hitting the wall. Won’t be staying here again because our RI vacation suffered due to our lack of sleep. TLDR: Super thin walls, won’t get beauty sleep. Okay stay if you don’t care about sleep quality/quietness. Won’t be back.

The place is a bit dated, however owners have made an excellent effort to make sure the suites are clean and well maintained. Only drawback is there is no coffee maker in the room. Walking around to the lobby for a lousy cup of cold lobby coffee is a definite negative for this traveler. Otherwise I would stay there again

The room was clean and the bed was comfy .Definitely in need of some work done. Very dated. The bathroom was very small with a small pedestal sink with no where to put toiletries on. The shower pressure was low. The shower/bathtub drained very slowly so you end up standing in water as you shower.. The temperature of the water from the shower head would suddenly change to super hot while showering and would take a while to cool off. The A/C in the front area worked great, but the A/C in the bedroom was quite loud and kept loudly shutting off and turning on throughout the night- it should be replaced. Not a bad place to stay at, but desperately needs some updates.

Clean, convenient and comfortable. This was a refreshing change of pace staying in a true motel again that was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Motels sometimes get bad reputations but this one is a gem. Rooms were updated, well stocked with towels and amenities. A/C worked well. Refrigerators in rooms. Cable TV with good channel selection. Comfortable beds. Parking is conveniently right in front of rooms. Staff was exceedingly friendly and courteous and went out of the way to make sure we were happy and satisfied. Would definitely recommend and we would stay here again if ever the opportunity arises.

Colonial Inn is a hidden gem. It’s about a minute off of the highway, so it’s very easy access. There are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. The staff was nice, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I love how quiet it was. Bonus points for being very affordable. Will definitely stay again.

They required a copy of my driver's license for check in. When asked why, he rudely said its policy. There were pictures of other drivers licenses taped to the wall, possibly do not rent to these people. I worry about identity theft.

Everyone I encountered on staff here is congenial and helpful. I was traveling with someone who has mobility problems and they switched her room after we arrived because it wasn't as accessible as another room. Just above and beyond in customer care and the room and bathroom are absolutely immaculate

I waited at the registration desk for 18 minutes until someone showed up. Another person walked in as well and left because of the inconvenience. The hallways are dark. The room was small but adequate for one night.

Stayed for a night. Staff was friendly, restaurants nearby were open late and the room was clean. I accidentally reserved a room with smoking and staff was kind enough to change me to a non-smoking room. Definitely would stay again

This was the second time I’ve stayed at the hotel. Friendly staff, got an early check-in. Love the old school vibe.

There were some abandoned businesses but having said that, many places walkable. Wal-Mart and Starbuck's are across the road, many fast food spots nearby, and convience stores close as well.

Checking in and out were easy. Parking easy. Close to highways. No frills, but fine for a place to get a night's rest.

Good value and easy Uber ride to downtown Providence

This hotel was more a motel off of a busy road. The abandoned buildings surrounding the property made it feel a bit unsafe and unappealing for out of town visitors. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Beds were ok.

Was visiting Newport, RI. Rooms close to Newport had absurd pricing. Colonial offered decent pricing without sacrificing a lot. If you are OK driving 3~40 mins to Newport. You should consider staying in Colonial. Huge parking with pool...

It should be clear that this is a motel. The room was average for a motel. The staff was friendly though could be more efficient. The location is great, with lots of shopping and restaurant options. Coffee in the reception, with a small library. The chair was very uncomfortable, with little cushioning. The water pressure in the shower was very low. The tub had a new plastic cover that had not set and bubbled up. Every place you stepped, it went down. Plus it leaked on the side. See photos. The walls-Well, you could hear footsteps and soft conversations outside. The tabletops should be cleaned more. There was a long hair when I checked in. The fridge should be defrosted since it had a lot of ice crust. Cleaning lady showed up 2 days before I was to check out. She was wrongly given my room number as on the check out. Overall, this felt like a typical motel experience.

The management was friendly and helpful. The room was older but nice. It was decorated nicely. There was no breakfast except coffee and a pastry was offered. It was clean and had a refrigerator. Someone had fun with the towels and made an elephant out of folded towels. It was cute. The only thing we didn't like were the neighbors. Not sure why two couples were sitting outside the whole time they were there, maybe to smoke but it was weird being watched every time we went outside to go to the car.

Helpful staff but no cleaning (3 nights). Coffee at desk, but not drinkable--no sugar either. Guests were quiet but the highway is noisy. Price was fair. Good option for budget travelers.

It’s an Inn. Outdoor rooms for you to sleep in. It was clean, no one messes with us, no walking creatures seen! It was nothing special. There was no breakfast. I saw people go to the pool. Its location was the most appealing for our needs. We came, we slept, we left. A positive is that truly no one messes with you. We did get fresh towels for the third day!

Wish the pool opened earlier and that the hotel offered a few more breakfast items. But overall it was clean and safe. Area around hotel was good with many dining and shopping areas.
