The lifts are supposed to be intelligent but too clumsy in actual operation. Otherwise all things clean and safe.

Great location! Great for solo travelers. Great pool and restaurant. Only complaint is room is small - shower in particular. Great value for price though.

Very welcoming and helpful staff, fantastic location including a MRT station ( Telok Ayer) in the basement, very clean, comfortable beds and pillows, great views from balcony room....the only downside was the size of the room, shower room/ toilet and separate bathroom basin. Very compact. Only one bedside table and only one chair on the balcony although the room was 2 sharing. Nice clean pool side with loungers and towels.

Kleine aber saubere Zimmer. Die Lage am Rande von Chinatown hervorragend. Auch viele andere Sehenswürdigkeiten fußläufig erreichbar. Man kommt über Level B2 auch unterirdisch zur MRT (U-Bahn) falls es mal regnet. Auch der Pool ist ein Traum

The Mercure Icon Hotel sits in the heart of Chinatown. The streets are abuzz with action and colour. If you love culture this is a great place to be. The options for wonderful food are everywhere. The 50metre pool is also a special par of the hotel.

All great, made a great stopover on our way back from Australia. Excellent swimming pool.

Property was in great location, but there were was a lack of a proper lobby, which often was very crowded. No real lounge area or place to relax

Bed Sheets are plastic. Very Dirty Rooms. Very hot sweaty nights with such poor quality sheets. Room was very dirty and both cleaning teams were very youthful young adults, that cleaning is not their specialty I am sure. Big black hair all over the tiny tiny room. Shower and bathroom was tiny, and I paid for a premium room. This was too much money for the quality.

I choose this hotel as it seemed like a good location and price and had rooms that slept 3. However, it ended up being a less than ideal option as the rooms are exceedingly small and there was an extremely foul odor in the hallways that made me gag. It's a new hotel, but many areas were rather unclean and I was glad we only spent 1 night here. I would not stay again.

Room had hair on the floor on arrival, housekeeping didn't replenish coffee, bed was 'made' by dragging the sheets to the top at an angle. It was very lackadaisical and not appropriate for the price point. Three of the ten lifts wobbled like they were suffering turbulence.

Very modern, nice hotel with a great location. Only minus from the condition of bathroom in the room. Like I read from other reviews, obviously something has gone wrong with building them - a new hotel with clear mold/moisture issues.

You have to get a room with a balcony, the rooms are very small and the outdoor space gives you twice the footage.. pool was great, location is perfect and the room was very clean.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel offers a spectacular view that made our trip even more memorable. Its location couldn’t be more convenient, just steps away from the train station and surrounded by plenty of restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. The room was small but very functional, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s a great choice if you value convenience and a beautiful view over extra space. Would definitely recommend to travelers looking for a practical yet scenic place to stay.

Location is great if you want to visit china town. Train is close too. The hotel was very modern and our room was nice if a little small but not as small as the hotel room in Japan. However, you can hear the some noise from the neighbours and people passing in front of your door. My biggest disappoimtment was the shower. The floor of the shower is tilted to the left side while the shower drain is on the right. So as you can imagine, the water accumulates on the left side and since the shower cubicle is not that big, it is quite annoying when you are getting out of the shower as the door opens inside towards you. You also need to make sure not to direct the shower head towards the shower door as there is a gap and the water will leak. The sink is located in the bedroom instead of the washroom with the toilet/shower. This may or may not be good depending on person's need. The mirror lights above the sink and the full body size mirror beside the entrance door were very weak and not ideal for makeup prep. Our mini fridge was not working properly too and was barely cold even after 2 days on. The bed mattresse is a little on the mid-firm side. The hair dryer is very strong and not attached to the wc room wall like in most european hotel, which is good. The shower gel/shampoo/conditioner were of good quality too. Overall, yes i would go there again because of the great location mainly.

Room, double room too small for two people and luggage. Only one bedside table and unusual to have wash basin in bedroom rather than bathroom. Sink stained. Hotel staff brilliant, friendly and helpful. Would not stay again due to size of room.

Everything was good, hospitality and breakfast was great but if you are coming from North America, just know the room is real small and the bathroom may suffocate you. I could barely fit myself in the shower and I am not even a big person.

While the hotel is located in a convenient location, there are a few quirky things about it. 1. The standard Queen room is tiny and the bed was cut shorter to provide more space. OK for Asian tourists who are not tall, but a challenge for European travellers. 2. The shower and toilet facilities are tiny. Reminded me of the toilet facilities on board a cruise ship. 3. Limited storage space. Was there for 5 nights and had to live off my luggage. 4. The Lobby Cafe is independently owned and no charge back to the room facility. In any case, its very expensive. A cappuccino costs S$6.80

A very nice hotel with the subway right at the door, although the room was really tiny.

Conveniently close to MRT stations with one underneath hotel with mall pathway. Windows could have been more soundproof for early morning temple drum (6:30am) and loud nightclub noise at nighttime.

Particular mention for Logen who went above and beyond to help me with my luggage and my leaving arrangements. Breakfast was chaotic and stressful, and not an abundance of options. Example - everyday there was melon and orange only. No variation and in my opinion, not enough choice of fruit considering all cultures enjoy fruit at breakfast. The bacon and sausage was terrible, but as an English person, not many hotels abroad meet the standard for an English breakfast. The pastries were ok and the local options were much better, albeit not what I enjoy at breakfast. The only coffee machine serving coffee with milk (as opposed to powdered milk) was under maintenance for a whole sitting. Table seating was not well managed. Set up for lunch had begun before breakfast service was finished and I watched a staff member become irate at a lady who dared to look into the fridge. The space is too small for the busy 8-9 breakfast rush and it was stressful, especially with kids. There is an accident waiting to happen. Breakfast was my only gripe. It wouldn’t put me off staying again, but I’d plan my breakfast elsewhere should I return.

As a business traveler, I really didnt like this modern hotel. The rooms are very small with limited space for clothes. There are no coffee making facilities in the rooms. There are no irons in the rooms and if you ask for one they'll point you to the communal laundry and reluctantly deliver to you; but the irons aren't steam, and are poor quality. The room a/c is quirky and has a lower limit that you can't defeat (21c). The gym is way too small and the equipment, such as the treadmills are cheap. The hotel coffee shop is supposed to open 7.30am but the surly operator will tell you to come back later, because she needs time to "set up". The wifi seems to require regular re-input of email, but with no password I wouldn't trust the security of it at all. There are MRT stations within 5 minutes walk and the location is excellent for Chinatown.

The reception front staff including their lady manager could be more friendly and flexible. They were pretty rigid and almost dismissive about my requests. Other than that, the room service and the breakfast were very good.

Property is close to everything. We had a pleasant stay. However, we left our phone charger and messaged the hotel to try and retrieve it but they never replied back.

The hotel and staff were amazing. I wish I had a chance to say goodbye to the gorgeous Ms. Sandra before leaving. She helped me understand how to get around town with the MRT.

I have stayed at this hotel 5 - 6 times and it is the first hotel I check when planning a trip to Singapore. It's clean, convenient, and I always enjoy the friendliness of the staff. The single room is somewhat small, but it's never been an issue for me, especially as I'm used to the "business" hotels in Japan, which have even smaller rooms. I like the fact that the drinking water comes from the faucet (separate from the tap water) instead of the hotel replenishing bottled water everyday.

Location is amazing with hawker centers nearby like Lau Pa Sat and Maxwell Food Center. Train stations are near as well. Service is very hit or miss. Upon check in the first receptionist (male) did not offer any help in finding my “booking” number since all I had was my itinerary number. A second receptionist (female) ended up helping us and allowed us to check in 4 hours early. Rooms are small but that’s not an issue for me. What was an issue was that my room had severe electrical issues since it operates through a sensor to detect people. My room had a faulty sensor and we lost power multiple times and had to go down at 1am to request help. They eventually sent an electrician to bypass the sensor and that solved the issue. However it is still unacceptable to have such faulty electricity. All in all, the hotel did the job especially with how amazing the location is. What needs improvement is the service (some are nice and helpful while some are ignorant and useless) and electrical equipment for the room (sensor for electricity).

Great hotel, only gave 4 stars due to the “charge” to check in early (before 3 pm) which was nearly the price of another night. Considering they do not have to “clean” this room and it is all profit. Otherwise excellent location and amenities! Top notch!

Clean, great location and friendly staff.

Front desk, excellent service,the Bellman that takes your luggage to your room was great service. They even had a greeter at the elevator, helping you to get into the elevator, quick response and bringing luggage down from the room when you’re checking out note that your hotel key stops working at checkout time 11 AM hotels close to shopping and food within two minute walking distance, medical clinic and medicine pharmacy are all within five minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is well located, the Telok Ayer Metro (Icon) Exit is right inside the hotel. It is 3 minutes walk from Chinatown, etc. From the airport it took 1h15 to reach the hotel using the metro - return took 1h30. Staff was nice. Room was small (typical for Singapore). Internet was good. Buffet breakfast was ok (the croissant which were delicious) often it was difficult to find a place to sear. Pool was very nice and closed at 21.00

I had a short enjoyable stay at the Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre. The location is its biggest selling point it's connected to Clarke Quay MRT station, making the entire city incredibly accessible, and the area is full of great restaurants, hawkers and bars. The hotel is clean and holds a modern vibe and the rooftop pool was an absolute lifesaver, offering a fantastic retreat with great city views. My room was very comfortable, and impeccably clean but small. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout my stay. For a well located, modern, and comfortable hotel that offers great value in Singapore, I would highly recommend it and would not hesitate to book again.

Very busy hotel with perfect location. Rooms are small and good equipped. AC is working very well. Breakfast is good, but very busy. People staying in lines to enter. Many tables are blocked/booked with sign “for visa customers” staying free but people have no place to sit.

Loved the buffet breakfast, warm pastries, lots of choice. Loved the pool. Very small room but it had everything we needed and was clean and cute. Would stay again!

Bon hotel bien situé, les chambres sont un peu petites en manque de choses basiques qu’on attend de ce type d’hôtel (2 tables de nuit par exemple) mais confortables. La piscine est relativement grande et très agréable. Le petit déjeuner est plutôt bien mais la salle est beaucoup trop petite et le personnel pas très efficace pour gérer le remplissage… Situé juste à coté d’une entrée de métro et à 20 minutes à pied de la marina bay donc reste un bon choix.

Great pool! The breakfast is awful. So crowded and always running out of food. The space is way too small and it is a total scrum!

The worst breakfast buffet i have ever experienced. An omelet station that only makes plan omelets, terrible food line queues, heat lamps drying pastries into rocks. Rooms were nice but small. Great location.

Overall a good hotel. It’s fairly new. Bathroom setup is not very convenient. Breakfast arrangement is poor. The space is way too small for the size of the hotel and the personnel couldn’t keep up with the number of guests lining up. It was not a pleasant experience every morning to have breakfast.
