Housekeeping- did an excellent job, the rating for Staff&Service was reduced because the weekend hosts serving breakfast left MUCH to be desired (they kept the hood of their sweatshirt pulled up over their head, their appearance & demeanor was indifferent & unfriendly; the lack of ambition was summed up in the lack of food choices available; very poor!!) the hostess on Monday however- excellent. Additionally, UPGRADES? to the building, removed almost all the seating areas and lounging furniture to gather and visit or meet with friends (the picture for advertising are NOT reality); the dining room is not set up for families, only 1 bigger table with phone hook-ups down the middle, otherwise it was only tables with space for 2-4 people, and to try and pull table and chairs together?.... nearly impossible, because the style of furniture greatly discourages this (they are big, heavy and loud to move, etc); as well, all carpet floor covering in the dining room (& elsewhere) was removed and therefore it was VERY NOISY, (if you wear hearing aids yikes), the tile may look sheik but not great if you want to talk to the people across the table from you; the coffee is from giant Keurig machines, so no adjusting serving size & the only microwaves are those in your room (sorry, have to run back to heat your muffin) they really DON'T want you to hang out... so if you're looking for just a place to sleep and not an extended stay, and you're not a breakfast person, this will work for you.

I was totally happy with the facility....great room location. Holiday decorations were beautiful. I was very disappointed the hot tub in pool area was out of order. I was so looking forward to the hot tub. The wonderful staff made up for it and the nice lady who sets up the breakfast does a beautiful job! The breakfast bar is layed out conveniently and very clean. I will definitely stay here again in the future!

Although the public areas are being remodeled and look like a work in progress, my room was beautiful and comfortable. It included a microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. The breakfast was outstanding, and far more sumptuous than I expected. Staff were polite and helpful. I'd stay here again.

It seemed fairly new, very clean, quiet except a bit of highway noise. Comfortable room, and enjoyed the pool and hot tub, as well as breakfast options. Check in was easy and desk manager was very helpful

Got there a few minutes before two pm. Asked if I was able to check in a few minutes early. The staff member said actually check in is at three pm. I said ok online it said two. She replied that’s because you booked through a third party very snarky. I said ok? Meanwhile another couple arrived and asked to do the same thing. She wasn’t even the person helping them but felt the need to correct them when they said my confirmation says two. Very was not nice and was rude to everyone checking in. At rwopm. Like it says online. And the elevator is terrible. Loud, slow, and clunky.

The stay at this Holiday Inn Express was great. The room was nice and clean and everything worked. The free breakfast was good and the kitchen employees were helpful. Check in and out was fast and friendly and the parking was close and well lighted.

The property is undergoing some renovation to update it. But this did not intrude into our stay or cause us any inconvenience. When completed I believe this could become a five star rating.

Very clean rooms, pool and spa!

It looked like they were remodeling. It would’ve been nice to know that before booking. This was the most expensive hotel In Fort Atkinson, and it really wasn’t worth it since there was absolutely no place downstairs to sit and Socialize. I could’ve easily saved over $100 a night. in the future would be a good idea To let people know your remodeling or at least discount your hotel for the inconvenience

The only downfall was the lack of available breakfast items. We went down for breakfast and they were out of omlets and potatoes. They said they were bringing more oit, but we waited a half hour, and they still hadn't bought any out so we left.

This property was perfect for a required overnight stay out of town for a school function. We got in late, slept and awoke to a really nice continental breakfast - one of the best that I have seen. Our room was so clean and the decor is very modern. I will definitely return!

The room we paid for through Expedia was not what we got. They said it was expedias fault. Also the room reeked of pot

I love this property. The staff is friendly & helpful. The facility is very clean & updated. I love the family suites. This was the best with the Grandkids having their own area & beds. What a great getaway!

The hotel was in a great location, very clean, room was drafty, heater made a lot of noise.

The bed in the handicap room was 30 inches high ( the same height as the top of the desk). It was impossible for my handicapped wife to get into the bed even I had to climb up into the bed. The management offered a stool but a handicap person should not use a stool like that, They may slip or it may tip over as there was nothing to hold onto. You try stepping up on a 9" stool with nothing to hang onto I am sure you will be shaky. This not a safe room for handicap or anyone else.

Very nice and clean. The only problem was when the I went to use the iron it didn't work. Then the smoke alarm went off at 3am and kept beeping till I found a way to stop it. Otherwise it was a lovely stay. I would come back.

Check in was good, the room was clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious. The king bed and bedding was comfortable and overall I can give the room a 5 star rating within its classification. The only downside for my wife and I was the breakfast. Relative to other Holiday inns we have stayed at. It was adequate, but nothing to get really exited about.

Expedia lists the check-in time as 2pm, but when I called the Holiday Inn to confirm, I was told they don't honor any third-party listing information. The hotel representative stated that their check-in time is actually 3pm. I asked why they don’t update this with Expedia to avoid confusion, and she responded, 'You're not the first person to ask, and you won’t be the last—I just ignore that question.' This lack of coordination is frustrating. If you’re listing rooms on Expedia, wouldn't it make sense to ensure accurate information for a smoother check-in experience? When we went to check in there was around 10 very unhappy costumers arguing with the staff about the discrepancy for check in times. Also the hotel worker was rude to every single person saying she doesn't care what they saw online for check in times they all could go wait in their cars...

Crabby at checkin. Not very welcoming. Room was clean and spacious. We would stay here again.

The manager at the desk was crabby and not helpful. Housekeeping never came to our room to leave new towels or make the bed the whole weekend.

Expedia never sent the reservation to the hotel. We did receive a refund however.

It wasn't all around bad, we just found things that could use updating. Doors that need to be replaced (especially in the pool area). Our check in staff member was fantastic, we did have one staff member that was a bit rude when we were in the pool. According to the pool clock we had 3 mins still and the employee proceeded to stomp their feet around while scrapping the chairs on the floor while moving them instead of picking them up. Was very disrespectful in that essence I am on the edge if I would stay again.

We went to use the Glacier River bike trail. It was in a perfect location

This is a good hotel in Fort Atkinson. Whenever I go to this city I stay at this hotel. Great price, good location, easy to park.

Nice pool. Great breakfast. Good beds. Clean. Breakfast attendant really made sure everything was filled and didn't run out for long/if at all.

We feel the breakfast is not the quality it used to be. We also had people making a lot of noise late at night.
