Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Antonio South by IHG

They were doing renovation and entrance to the room was very very loud. Hallway was full of dust blowing from the construction being done.

Pool was green for the entire 4 day stay. Bullet holes in windows. Tick on bed. I had to clean room myself Trash,towels and beds

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn hotel and had a mixed experience. The hotel itself was nice, with a clean and inviting lobby. However, I was extremely disappointed to find that there was no parking available when I arrived. The hotel needs to address the issue of limited parking spaces being taken up by trucks with trailers, as this made it difficult for guests like myself to find a spot. Upon entering my room, I was pleased to find that it smelled clean and fresh. However, my excitement quickly turned to disgust when I discovered roaches in the restroom. This was a major turn-off for me and made me question the overall cleanliness of the hotel. On a more positive note, I must say that the beds at the Holiday Inn were some of the best I have ever slept in. They were incredibly comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. Overall, my experience at the Holiday Inn hotel was mixed. While the comfortable beds were a highlight, the lack of parking and presence of roaches in the restroom left a lot to be desired. I would recommend this hotel with caution and advise guests to be vigilant about cleanliness. The hotel should definitely address the parking issue to improve the overall guest experience.

there was construction in the lobby area. The smell of paint was strong and horrible and i have lung problems. Thinking once i would go up to my room smell would not be up there but the smell was all up in 2nd floor. When i entered my room, the room was dirty, bed was not made so i called front desk and she claimed she had just clocked in 30minutes prior but she did help. She was the only employee working that day since she was in front and also cleaning rooms. I felt bad for that poor lady going all over the place. Eventually i did not end up staying in this hotel.

I enjoyed everything about my stay except for the availability of amenities. We had a group of kids and the kids had to find other options because of the pool not being available. We were good during check in that the pool would be available the next day and it was not. We had to find another pool to go to when we paid for the one at the hotel. Customer service was very friendly. Hotel was very clean. I have no complaints outside of unavailable amenities.

Crumbs in the sofa bed that actually looked brand new. Ac took forever to cool down the room and the settings were changed while we weren’t in the room. Employees were very friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean and very nice!

Pool closed at 9PM and didnt open until check out in the AM.

Our tail lights were stolen and police did not do anything

The only downside was couldnt swim at the pool it needed to be cleaned

I loved our room and staff. The ice machine didn’t work on our floor. That was only complaint

It's an old building needs a lot of updating, rooms have a bad smell, carpet is really dirty always had to have our shoes on, water in the shower was always hot couldn't get it on cold and the staff said it was a problem with the plumbing, we had to change rooms from the first one they gave us because the smell was so bad. Will definitely not be staying there again

Got a really nasty room with moldy walls . Requested a large room for 6 people and got a king size super dirty stained sheets

The first room that we got put in smelled like marijuana. It had two marijuana cigarette butts on the floor in the room. The shower was not working the handle was loose and burned us. I went to the front desk and asked for a screwdriver to tighten the handle. They then changed us to room 309. This was the worst stay ever from the rooms being dirty and then having to change rooms. Definitely a bad review and will not be staying there again.

This hotel was clean in appearance but the sheets on our bed needed to be changed because they had been slept on. There was a roach in our bathroom. One other thing I booked through Expedia at the rate of $104 per night and they charged me $129 for 1 room and $127 for the 2nd room.

Speed bump were huge. I dont drive a small car, but the speed bumps were bad. When i parked, there was broken window glass on the parking lot floor and that caused concerned for my vehicle. The property smalled weird, like moist. On the window view you could see old mattresses and bathroom parts on the yard. I left the same night.

I had trouble going to sleep and I kept waking up. This hotel is very close to the highway and you can hear every car that passes by and that happens all night long so good luck having a good sleep.

One side if the property is much noisier than the other.

The floor was uneven. Like the woods missing under the carpet. In the shower the floor creeks really bad like it’s falling down. Checkout is at 11 and at 8am they were banging on my door wanting to clean my room. I was still asleep!

I request a king bed we got the Handicap unit with 2 queens right by the elevators. Walls are thin every time someones door closed it shook the bed. Shower is not for taller people tub didn't drain so your standing in muck water the whole time you shower. There were parts of the safety rails in the tub coming off. There were crunchy parts of the carpet like something was spilled and never cleaned. The bed by the window was broke and very sqeaky. The funiture in the room seemed dirty and also broke. Made noise every time you sat on it. Only good thing sheets seemed clean. And we were out and about more than in the room. Staff was nice.

Then room door was dragging down and making loud noises when opening and closing. Lastly, Sunday morning ran out super early like 45mins before closing time. Staff seems not willing to refill the items.

Prices are fair for needing a place to sleep. Rooms are very comfortable.

There was not enough hot water for even two people in the room. At a Holiday Inn hotel, really? The mini fridge made noise throughout the stay making it hard for us to sleep and nearly impossible for the kids to sleep. We made the hotel aware of this twice and they did nothing.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Although the building was undergoing a major remodel on the first floor we slept well. The rooms were clean and spacious. Air conditioning was fantastic despite being so close to the expressway and hearing trucks go by, it was a good experience.

When checking in the desk clerk was making out on the couch in the lobby with boyfriend. Had to adjust shirt when she got up. Floor was rotten and carpet was only thing keeping us from falling through the floor.

At the first room we checked into, the room and the shower were dirty, tired and worn. The ice machine didn't work on the first level; ceiling tiles had fallen to the floor on the second level. The desk clerk moved us to another room, which was better. The area has very limited dining choices.

Two night stay after picking up grandson at airport. The hotel was close to visiting sites in our agenda.

Walking up to the hotel, you can tell that security was going to be an issue. People not staying there hanging around, and actually pretty frightening. The Lobby was dirty, and the manager and the front desk staff weren't courteous at all. I would def stay away from this hotel. The 100+ price tag on this, you can def stay somewhere much much nicer.

Parking good and breakfast very good

i came in to the room on the day of checkout around 9:30 am looking at the crew changing the sheets when i have not even checked out the room yet. the crew said that i have already checked out my room when my stuff is already inside the room. This is very unprofessional. The breakfast was very bad at best. Overall a very bad experience.

Breakfast was probably the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had. The beds were super comfy! Staff was courteous and attentive. Would definitely stay there again.

Everything clean and delicious breakfast

This property is located in a less populated part of San Antonio, but it might as well have been in the middle of nowhere. Its staff was barely there and felt unfriendly. The room was spacious but felt unpolished at every corner. The vending machine was only half stocked with snacks. Most annoying of all, the breakfast was very disappointing. My family and I arrived to find very little food left- all they had were a few sausages, little scrambled eggs, and some biscuits and gravy. Would not stay here again.

Hotel was clean and very well maintained. Pool was open and room service available for towel needs even at late hours. Staff was friendly and very good breakfast.

Stayed here for a small vacay with the family before the kiddos went back to school. The whole experience was excellent. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. The room was nice, spacious and clean. We will definitely be staying here again.
