Upon arrival we were informed the pool was not available and there was no elevator to the 2nd floor, so we had to carry everything from our car to our room. Then upon entering our room, we noticed the phone was not working, there was no remote for the tv and there were empty cans left from the previous visitor left under the sink. Then we needed ice so we attempted to get some from a machine near our room, but it didnt work so we had to go back to the other side of the building to get some. When we did find a working ice machine, there was trash stacked near it with bugs flying out of it and a cockroach crawled out from under the ice machine. The breakfast was very limited, the sausage was still frozen...like we had to make it ourselves, so we didnt stay for breakfast and went elsewhere. But the beds were comfortable, that was about it. We would not recommend this location to anyone and will not likely return.

In my first room, the Toilet Seat was broken. So, I had to be move to another room. In this room, the Tub/Shower handle was broken off and sitting on the Tub. So again, I had to be move to another room. This room was okay for only one night. The area of the Hotel was alright. It sits right next to the side of the Hwy. And, most of all. There is "NO" elevators in this Hotel. You, must be able to walk up the stairs to the second floor.

Run! Don't reserve. The ExpeDia pictures completly misrepresent this property. It's not secure. The outer doors do not lock as designed. The shower did not work. The place smells. Unfortunetly, I prepaid, so I felt stuck. Don't get stuck like I did! ExPEdia has been difficult to work with in resolving this.

To begin with, when I went to check in, at the proper check in time, I was asked to leave for 2 additional hours for them to clean the room. I was not the only guest to hear this. There was only 1 single person running the hotel. The restaurant is closed, the bar is closed, and pool is closed, the banquet room was closed. They did not offer breakfast. My room did NOT include a TV remote. The "balcony" was less than 2' deep. None of the channels matched their list. We ended up purchasing our own pillows due to the cases, sheets and pillows having small stains. For a place to just sleep, it was worth the $50 a night. If I were travelling with chlidren, this would have been a definite no.

Call desk, no answer; walk all way across facility Register Person said 'will find another remote'. RegisterPerson says "move you to Room162" after he tested TV. Room162: had to find Fridge Cord behind furniture to plug in - Trash & dirty on all cables/cords behind Cabinet!! Carpeting & hard-surface flooring very dirty-feet were black next morning & light colored socks were discolored & felt sticky. Notice posted at Reception Desk about work on Pool & Conference Room; many obvious spots thru out Facility that much updating needs to be done, but that is not a reason to neglect daily housekeeping -- kind of explains why the online Room Rate was lower than other area Lodgings. Breakfast isn't set up and doesn't appear to have been in a while. The pool is also out of service. The advertising for this location is at least incorrect and at most intentionally wrong. They're trying to upgrade the hotel but its not worth the price for reservations at this time.

First off the staff was great. Extremely kind and accommodating. The door to the outside had a key card lock, but the door was literally unlocked the entire time. Anyone can walk in from outside. The room was cleaned, but only to the point cleaning can get it. The walls had obvious water damage in several spots and the toilet seat was peeling and discolored. Clean, but still gross. We had to ask for extra blankets because the beds only had two top sheets on them. The saving grace was the beds. Probably the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in.

Hard to believe that Wyndham allows this hotel to bear its name. Was absolutely disgusting the state of the room we received. Had trash left in the room still, mold all over the room, ac did not work well, felt like we were smothering. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. You can tell that the hotel is not taken care of at all. I do not know how the health department has not shut this hotel down. Stay far far away.

It's one of the dirtiest hotel I've ever been. The paints are peeling and it's all over the floor. The shower is filthy and drain doesn't work. The phone is not working. The hallway could use a LOT of cleaning. We couldn't eat the breakfast. There were 2 broken boiled eggs that looked like it had been there for weeks. The coffee is terrible. The 2 tiny sausage was cold and old. We didn't touch any of the food provided. The bread looked stale and moldy. Health department should come and checked that hotel. The staff could use some measure of friendliness.

There was black mold on the walls, no tissue in the bathroom when I arrived, the room smelled like urine and it was overall the worst Wyndham hotel I have ever stayed in. I do no recommend this hotel to anyone, EVER.

The hotel was very dirty and run down. The ceiling tiles in the halls were missing or stained. The pillows inside the cases were very stained and the hotel smelled very musty and surfaces were sticky with smoke residue.

We only stay there for an overnight trip to Illinois. And the room was semi clean but the bathroom needs work. There was damage in the other side of the bathroom door. The shower wasn’t the greatest. It definitely need to be fix in over all.

The room was dirty and didn't look like the pictures on the website. The shower curtain rod was broke and it had been replaced but the broken one was still attached. there were cobwebs around the room. The section of the hotel we stayed in seemed like people were living in the rooms around us. we were woken up in the morning with people yelling in the halls and someone was actually cooking in the room that was attached to our room. We could see the outside and even feel the air coming in around the air conditioner/heating unit as well as around the window frame. The bathroom walls looked moldy and so did the caulking around the bathtub and the toilet didn't even have any around it. The room was totally different than the pictures on the website.

TV doesn't work. Things just seem in disrepair. We will see how the night goes. Just hoping to sleep well enough and leave quickly in the morning. Probably wouldn't have stayed...the lobby is very unwelcoming...if I thought there were better options.

Upon arrival, door keys that were given did not work. The front desk clerk was extremely nice and had maintenance assist immediately. The door had to be reprogrammed. The phone in the room did not work, and maintenance did not fix it. All of the lamps in the room were unplugged when we arrived. The toilet was absolutely disgusting and had not been cleaned. The remote to the tv was missing a battery The staff was very nice tho

The phone in the room did not work, and maintenance did not fix it. All of the lamps in the room were unplugged when we arrived. The toilet was absolutely disgusting and had not been cleaned. Horrible experience from start to finish. Spent an hour checking in as the t couldn’t see I’d paid for my room. Expedia was wonderful and got the it straighten out. Went straight from our 9:45 check in to Subway, got to our room at 9:55 and 2 lamps were unplugged, my husband checked the third and found a stripped cord. There was mold in the bathroom and on the ceiling. Very noisy. The entire 30-40 minutes we were in the room w e heard arguing & banging noises from the adjoined room. We checked out at 11 pm. This place is a fire hazard, it’s dirty, I didn’t feel safe sitting on the bed. I wouldn’t let my animals sleep, let alone charge people. Sleep in your car. Don’t waste your time or money. Also if you DO stay have $50 cash for a deposit.

Don’t let the pictures fool you. The place was rundown. The workout area had 4 cardio machines. No coffee/breakfast as advertised. The whole place smelled like a spicy cigarette and overall I didn’t feel safe.

In my first room, the Toilet Seat was broken. So, I had to be move to another room. In this room, the Tub/Shower handle was broken off and sitting on the Tub. So again, I had to be move to another room. This room was okay for only one night. The area of the Hotel was alright. It sits right next to the side of the Hwy. And, most of all. There is "NO" elevators in this Hotel. You, must be able to walk up the stairs to the second floor.

We stayed here for 1 night to catch the Amtrak train for Chicago the next morning. The lobby was dimly lit and appeared to be under construction. There were cars in the parking lot with broken windows and some looked like they hadn’t moved in months. The side door to the hall way was not secured, anyone could walk in. The window opened and did not have a screen, seemed very unsecure to me. The room looked like it had been renovated with new paint but the thresholds were filthy. The desk chair was ripped up. The entire place smelled of cigarette smoke and foods. We had originally reserved a room there for our trip home, but canceled that reservation as soon as we checked out and booked a different motel.

Then upon entering our room, we noticed the phone was not working, there was no remote for the tv and there were empty cans left from the previous visitor left under the sink. Then we needed ice so we attempted to get some from a machine near our room, but it didnt work so we had to go back to the other side of the building to get some. When we did find a working ice machine, there was trash stacked near it with bugs flying out of it and a cockroach crawled out from under the ice machine. The breakfast was very limited, the sausage was still frozen...like we had to make it ourselves, so we didnt stay for breakfast and went elsewhere. But the beds were comfortable, that was about it. We would not recommend this location to anyone and will not likely return.

This property is apparently undergoing massive renovation, so much of it was closed off, including the pool. The entry portico was damaged and parts were laying about on the ground. I was also informed that you can only eat the continental breakfast inside the designated area. To begin with, when I went to check in, at the proper check in time, I was asked to leave for 2 additional hours for them to clean the room. I was not the only guest to hear this. There was only 1 single person running the hotel. The restaurant is closed, the bar is closed, and pool is closed, the banquet room was closed. They did not offer breakfast. My room did NOT include a TV remote. The "balcony" was less than 2' deep. None of the channels matched their list. We ended up purchasing our own pillows due to the cases, sheets and pillows having small stains. For a place to just sleep, it was worth the $50 a night. If I were travelling with chlidren, this would have been a definite no.

Bed was ok, rest of the room needed lots of help. The first room, sliding door was open, handle was broken and the curtain did not cover the door completely. I was told "no one comes back here", yet there were cigarette butts outside the door. I was given another room, which looked as poorly maintained as the other one. Things worked, but were stained, mold in the shower, etc.
