This is a hidden gem. A few minutes from downtown, in a neighborhood, its a quiet hotel. The service was great...room was ready with our key waiting when we got there rooms are clean with lots of thoughtful touches like robes, slippers, and breakfast included...a breakfast basket was delivered. The room had a kitchen but needed more cooking items and paper towels. Honestly, the bed needs a new mattress, we rolled towards the middle. The laundry area was clean, change was at the front counter, and there was ice available Overall, this was a great find.

Our stay was excellent. Room was clean and well organized. The breakfast prepared by Christie was awesome, fresh made scones! The only suggestion would be a more efficient ice machine. We like to top off our small cooler but couldn’t get more than half an ice bucket each day just for drinks

What a great place to stay! Would highly recommend. Comes with kitchenette and few items for cooking/eating without having to lug everything yourself! Things were clean and comfortable. Basketball net outside kept the kids entertained. Self check in was easy (once I knew that was the plan!) and all questions were quickly answered! Go by the phone number inside the reception area not the one on the door though!

A nice conversion of a motel to an Inn with in room amenities like a higher end Inn like comfy robes, nice toiletries. The laundry facilities were a great option and they were clean. Remember to bring loonies. The breakfast was great.

It was not clear that this was in fact a basement apartment under someone’s home. We could hear footsteps and music coming from above. Obviously it was quite dark. It was quite large and the beds / linen were fine. There was a full kitchen but no products (not even paper towels) except for dish soap. The access to the laundry facility was supposed to be easy (using the room key) but it didn’t work. To be fair, I didn’t follow up with anyone on this issue. The rest of the property was pretty.

The Antigonish Evergreen Inn was extremely clean and well cared for. Bath robes and slippers were provided. We had a small kitchen as well as a laundry mat that we took advantage of. The Inn is conveniently located close to downtown Antigonish and St Francis- Xavier University. The host was friendly, helpful and gave us good recommendations for dinner dining. We would stay again without hesitation.

This is the loveliest place to stay. The room was spotless and so sweet and homey. Everything you could imagine was already thought of and provided. The grounds are pretty and immaculate. The breakfast provided had many options. I had the homemade porridge. It was served hot with many toppings choices offered, It was just like being hosted by your very good friend. It really is an exceptional accommodation. I wish we’re were staying longer.

We arrived late and had to leave early, but we really wish we had more time in Antigonish and at the Evergreen! Arriving at the room felt like such a warm welcome after a long driving day. We felt more comfortable and at home than we have since we started our road trip - like visiting a family member rather than a hotel/motel. No detail was spared and everything was spotlessly clean. If you'll be in or around Antigonish, we can't recommend this stay highly enough!

First I will acknowledge my city person bias. I stopped by here on the way to PEI and booked based on the positive reviews I read about this place. Pros: Bedding and towels smelled freshly laundered Thoughtful notes in the bathroom that they were happy to provide any toiletries we forgot to pack Positive check-in and check-out experience Breakfast provided on premises Host was friendly and easily accessible via text. Booking here supports local small business rather than larger hotel chains. Cons: Bathroom smelled musty Dead bugs everywhere - flies on window, and other bugs I don't care to identify on the floor near baseboard. I mentioned to the owner during checkout. Furniture could use a coat of paint - I could see where they chipped off. Not the most comfortable beds Would have preferred down instead of quilt The binder in the room mentioned an egg station at breakfast but according to the owner the egg guy did not show up that morning so I was unable to have the eggs that I had been looking forward to all night. There were no good high protein options. Oats are not high protein - every 12g of carb only provides 2g of protein. An egg has roughly 6g. The suggestion to add hemp hearts fails to consider the additional carb content.

Our suite was a pleasant surprise at how nice it was. Outside, the Inn looks like any other place. The room was spacious and inviting. Lots of extras...bathrobes, slippers, umbrella...even a fly swatter. There was a small kitchen to use. The bathroom was huge and instant hot water. Very clean and tidy, friendly helpful owners. Breakfast is included

Everything was great about this place, except for the room we chose. It was listed as a two bedroom apartment, but did not say it was a basement in the house next to the motel. It was clean and had everything you would need but it just had three small basement windows. We like natural light and would not have picked this room had we known. I think the main motel would have been a different experience. Everything else about this place is great! Just list this room as a "basement" apartment .

Music playing in the background as soon as we walked in made the room tranquil and inviting. Having a luxurious feeling in the bathroom and overall room allowed us to feel at home away from home. Been here several times before. Very comfortable, large room with a large bathroom and a view out to garden and hills beyond. Comes with kitchenette. Breakfast is included and is excellent with homemade oatmeal and toppings, blueberry scones/tea biscuits, muffins, bagels, yogurts and very good coffee. Chairs and table in room as well as television. Definitely recommended and best to book in advance as it’s very popular.

We just stayed one night on our way home. The room is clean and quiet. It comes with everything we need including bathrobes, slippers and a mini kitchen with stove, microwave and mini fridge. The breakfast was homey and delicious. We will come back on our next visit.

Came across this charming little inn while finding accommodations on my mother daughter road trip. This inn was by far my favourite place to stay on our trip. The surrounding area was so picturesque and the perfect backdrop for the inn. The front office that also held the dining area was all set to perfections. Our check in package was available at the front desk with our name, key and instructions at the ready. Fastest check in ever! Not a detail was overlooked in the room. Such thoughtfulness was given to ensure every need was met.. even slippers and a robe to use. The morning breakfast was delicious and was a nice time to chat with the owner and other visitors. I will definitely be telling my friends about the Antigonish Evergreen Inn and will come back for a return visit.

Cute, comfy, spacious, nice large window, lovely decor and easy to find being slightly out of town. Great place to stay with a few nice extra touches (wall pumps with nice shampoo AND even conditioner!!) The breakfast basket with yummy scones was fine for our schedule- their on site breakfast room was not yet open. Highly recommended.

Quiet motel property just outside of Antigonish. Cute, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Some with nice views of the green valley. Easy check in and hosts were friendly and helpful. Since we were there in the low season, breakfast is delivered in a basket to the room and includes scones, yogurt, juice and eggs if requested. Lovely stay and place recommended.

Tout a été soigneusement pensé pour que les besoins soient comblés. Cela va même à la brosse pour enlever les poils et on repart même avec un petit présent! On se sent comme à la maison. I appreciated the robe and slippers in addition to the homey feeling of the room. It was clean and supplied with essentials. I would suggest the small rugs around the bed be removed since it is an "Accessible" room and rugs are risks for people with compromised mobility. I had called to notify Front desk that my checkin would be around 9pm. I asked about the breakfast service hours and was told the kitchen was closed due to the Season and a "breakfast basket" would be placed in my room's fridge. The basket contained a few lunch box items and 2 tastey home baked goods. I wasn't able to cancel my booking and felt cheated out of receiving the breakfast that was advertised. On top of that, the added expense, inconvenience and travel to find a nearby breakfast place.
