Smelled like smoke. Dirty handprints all over the walls and marijuana smoke all over the hallways, shower and bathroom dirty fixture for the shower and bathtub was broken. Elevator was out ice machine didn’t work on two floors have stayed there many many times and I don’t think I would recommend it to anyone again.

This hotel was very quiet and comfortable. The room was a great size and the bed was very comfortable. Loved that it had plenty of parking on site. Would definitely stay here again. The only negative was that it listed that it had EV charging available and it didn’t.

I booked two rooms at the Long Island Marriott they stated they had a pool both online and when I called. My family's flight was delayed to Tokyo from JFK so I searched for a hotel specifically with a pool to make it up to the kids. When we arrived by Uber which was $100 from jfk as it is not near the airport we were told the pool would most likely be open in a few hours. Despite checking every few hours the pool is not open and it's 9:30. It was never going to open and we were purposely lied to so we would not leave. When I finally layed down to go to sleep for the first time in two days the fridge was making a high pitched alarm sound. I went downstairs to ask for a manager on duty around 9 pm and was told that she was unavailable she was in a conference and I could come back down later and ask for her again.

The hallway and room had an odd smell like musty, we had trouble turning the water on, the switch was stuck and it had mold around it. The AC was not cooling enough. The blankets and carpet were stained. Some of the outlets did not work. The hot tub was out of service our entire stay. The pool didn’t look clean and it also smelt like cigarettes or weed. WiFi is not free in the room. The couch in the room was dirty. The front desk was rude. I asked for a receipt and she was upset she had to print it out and rolled her eyes as she walked away. Not a good experience at all.

With a hotel that is ten stories, I think it's imperative to have both elevators in working order. We stayed for three days and it was an extreme inconvenience that only one elevator was in working order. We often had to press the button three or more times to get an elevator that would fit us. When we checked out and had our luggage cart, we had to wait almost twenty minutes for an elevator that wasn't crammed full of people that we could fit into. TWENTY minutes! There's no excuse for that.

The Long Island Marriott is conveniently located within walking distance of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. This is probably the best thing about this hotel. Due to its location, the nightly rates are premium priced, but the rooms and amenities do not justify the prices. My room was dirty. The shower grout had mold (black in color). The shower head valve had some white substance (hopefully soap) caked on. The bathroom floor was not mopped. The ironing board was literally broken, and almost fell on my foot once I opened it. The closet has some kind of access panel in the roof which was open, and is probably what caused the closet smelled like sewer. I had to hang my clothes outside the closet. The 3rd floor seems to be undergoing some kind of maintenance, as evidenced by ladders and paint cans in a corner, and they were mindful enough to display a "pardon our dust" sign. But when you are running a hotel and the floor is still being rented, don’t you have housekeeping clean the area at the end of the day? The hallway table with a phone was completey covered in thick dust. The bed was comfortable enough. +1 for Marriott. However, this hotel brings shame to Marriott. Motel caliber rooms should carry Motel prices. There’s no reason why I should pay over $300/night for a dirty, run down room.

Lobby was very clean and appealing. The staff was also very hardworking and kind. The restaurant/bar was also nice with solid food and drink options. The hotel did seem understaffed. There was trash and dirty linens in the hallways for hours after cleaning a room. Also the thermostat in the room didn’t work and just blasted heat. Complained about the heat multiple times and asked for this to be fixed but to no avail. Some very nice aspects of this hotel but also some misses.

The condition of the room was very poor. The sheets were old and seem to be dirty. There were dust in the ceiling fan and holes in the wall. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

So when we first checked in, the service desk was really friendly and offered to upgrade us. But after going to the room it felt like a down grade. The bathroom cleanliness was so poor that there was actually urine in the toilet as well as hair all over the floor and all the cosmetics like shampoos etc were all half used. So I went down to the front desk and explained the situation and they immediately moved us to another room which was cleaner. Then I opened the fridge and there was a bunch of left over food and spoiled chocolate milk, I didn’t want to complain again because we don’t really complain so I let it be. So overall I wouldn’t stay there again due to the cleanliness but staff was very nice.

When the room you booked has a connecting door, this could present a problem if the strangers in the connecting room our obnoxiously loud during the evening and all you want to do is sleep after a looooong trip. There is no soundproofing on that door!!!!

We had to initially switch rooms because the first one smelled of cigar smoke and the bathroom was dirty with a toilet seat that was not secure. The air conditioner could not be adjusted lower than 76 degrees. The second room’s bathroom was cleaner but still had a loose toilet seat. The dead bolt did not work on this room and the outlets by the bed were so loose our phone chargers fell out.

I booked a room for four . I was given two double beds pretty small . Smaller than a regular full size bed . Slept u comfortably and the mattress was worn out . For almost 200 a night I expected to be a little more comfortable to be honest

Woman at front desk (blonde hair) was so rude when I asked a question about the hotel. Beds are awful. Our room did not get housekeeping even though we were gone ALL DAY. Bad experience overall but the front desk was really the tipping point for me. You’re the face of the hotel and it’s your job to be helpful.

We booked this hotel to stay in during our business trip, and initially, we got 2 rooms with 2 double beds. At check-in, the hotel receptionist told us that they don't have enough rooms for us, despite our booking ahead of time. This is very inconvenient and unprofessional for us to rest after our flight. They put one of our colleagues in a hospitality room instead for the time we stay. We would like to be compensated for the room that we didn't get. Looking forwards to any responses or apologies!

We made a reservation for a King size bed and finally we were transfert to a 2 double bed room because our room was still occuped. They told us that the client check-our was not confirm yet !! We made this reservation a month before our trip to Long Island Marriott allow people to take a late check-out without respecting the reservation for those who arrive for the check-in. It’s a total lack of respect….. The young lady at the front desk was so arrogant !!!! She told us that is aways like this and we have to deal with that ! Because of that, we won’t recommand your establishment. So desappointed !!!!!!

I will not stay at this hotel again .The woman at the front desk was very rude and not helpful whatsoever. The AC system is what they call a two pipe system (?) which basically to us meant no AC. We had to ask for a fan which was huge and loud. No complementary coffee, paid $22 for luke warm coffees. Paid over $300 for a basic no frills warm room… seriously not worth it.

The property is conveniently located to Hofstra and nearby Roosevelt area with tons of shopping, though nothing is in walking distance. Could see NYC skyline and the room was very quiet. Common areas were very freshly decorated. Room was a little outdated/bathroom a little worn, but clean and in line with the price. Plan to make it my go to hotel when visiting the university.

You think Marriott and you think comfort. Not this one though. I give it 3 stars because they gave an early check in and the bar tenders were very helpful on what to explore.Towels were like sandpaper, no ATM on sight as it claims, and the night manager hovers over the workers like they don't know what they're doing. I would recommend another hotel but the bar tenders are cool

No food service, except for an expensive and lackluster and poorly supplied breakfast buffet. No room service. Late check in time (4pm) combined with early checkout time (11am). Had to call several times to get room cleaned. There are always piles of bags with linen or trash in the halways. Not a pleasant stay regrettably.

Room is nice enough. Nice hotel, impressive. Huge hotel, 615 rooms. Next to Nassau Colosseum, so it caters to that crowd. Restaurant was mediocre. Food ok, C plus. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon blanc. It was terrible. After finishing my salad and the waiter taking it away, he asked how the salad was. I said it was ok but the wine was awful. He said it was Sauvignon blanc. I said, I know. He replied you should have ordered the Chardonnay. I couldn’t believe his reply. It made me feel insignificant. I never have complained or sent anything back and am usually embarrassed when people do, but it tasted like turpentine (I imagine) I didn’t drink the wine and left it.

I had a nice large with a king bed. Plenty of room. The bed was a bit sunken and soft. The only restaurant had great food. Because there was nothing near, there were always lines. Overall, nice facility.
