Comfort Inn Tupelo Central

I made my reservation through Expedia, paid, received receipt. Got to comfort Inn and the clerk charged me $65. I told her it was paid by Expedia, showed her my credit card receipt. She said it must have been declined. It was 11:00 at night. I argued. Bit but then decided I will call Expedia. They will call the manager on Monday. A different clerk checked me out, I told her what happened. She saw it was paid twice, but she had no way to fix it. Manager hopefully will take care of it. Then…there was no place to park. We had to park way behind the building. The card keys didn’t work in the back door so we had to walk with all our luggage back around the building to the front, in the dark, in the rain! Won’t go back there.

Our room did not have a working sprinkler as there was just a hole in the wall with the sprinkler set way back in there where it would not have worked if needed. Ice machine on 3rd floor did not work and from was falling off of it. rolling luggage cart had a flat tire on one side and the wheel on the other side didn't roll well. I didn't know it before loading the cart so it was very difficult to roll/pull. there was only one cart available. I told the night staff and she was going to tell maintenance but in the morning it was still not fixed.

We had spent day traveling so we did not need much but, hotel was not clean. There was a sock from someone else under desk wrappers left on bathroom vanity and what appeared to be mold on shower door, Ice machine didnt work, pool was closed, pop machine was out of order all in all hotel needs some understanding of clean. It is an older hotel but that was not the issue it was just not clean. Not impressed.

Needs major updating, internet was down, business area unavailable, dirty rooms, key card readers at doors not working, ac was out, bathroom shower was black and dirty.

Mold in the shower and on the shower curtain. The shower curtain does not reach the top of the bottom of the shower so the floor floods during the shower. The pool water was green - scary. The treadmill doesn’t work. Extremely noisy in the hall all night! No working vent in the bathroom. Breakfast quality was sub par.

Really about what you would expect. I could have done without the fire alarms going off multiple times throughout the night, another guest told me they went off the night before as well, why? Hard to get a good nights rest like that

Clean comfortable room and bed. Only complaint was they had forgotten to put the hand towels and washcloths in our room. Also, at 5:20 am the fire alarm went off and had to wait for the fire department to get there to shut it off. It was a false alarm. Breakfast was hot with a good variety.

They advertised WiFi with the room, but it was in and out. Handicapped room, but shower chair was too big for the tub/shower. Fire alarm went off while we were having breakfast, they didn’t know how to turn it off. There was no fire.

Ok. This is a cheap hotel with an indoor pool.and a good breakfast. They had Waffles eggs sausage sausage gravy biscuits yogurts fresh fruit and juices cereal and milk. The breakfast attendant was very nice and helpful. She was busy cleaning and restocking. Dining area was large with several tables and large windows. We didn't see any evidence of bugs. We inspected carefully. We stayed on the 2nd floor. All the room.surfaces were clean and refrigerator and microwave were both clean and very usable. Ice machine worked great and thr ice was good and clear The pool was cleaned but the paint is peeling It was supposed to be heated but was soooo cold. also there used to be hot tubs however there may be a couple of rooms with jacuzzi but we did not see them. The staff was very helpful. Key card machine was broken upon our arrival. It should have been noted in websites because this is very unsafe for all guests. The staff had to escort us to our room any time we were both out of the room. Had I known...we would have gone somewhere else...but it was getting late and I Needed a swim. Entire hotel is in Need of Major updating of walls mattresses carpets

The staff was fine but the the rooms have mold in the bath, shower and Regular curtains, and tile grout. Such a smoke smell!

Mold and mildew in bathroom and the carpet behind and under the chairs had not been vacuumed in years!! Not very clean in general !

The room was cleaner but things are old, a little bit of rust/mold in shower. Walls are thin- I could hear others in their room.

This is just an average hotel. Shower pan is moldy and rusted. Dirt in corners.

The room was not cleaned well, carpet frayed, paint chipped, furniture (chair) with stains and table with rust. Thin, stiff towels. The beds were comfortable and each did have 4 pillows. Ice machine was dirty. Breakfast was sparse and not appealing. Would not recommend staying here.

Very comfortable. Friendly, helpful front desk staff. That really helps make for a good experience. Small points for improvement: some of the outlets in the room (231) didn't work. One notices this because of the ongoing need to charge devices. One drawer on the hutch wouldn't stay closed; it kept opening about 6 inches, enough to bang into it. Slow internet. Again, a nice stay. I would come again.

Employees (check in/out, breakfast) were all great. Room was good for the price. Some updates are due, especially the shower. Had a room close to the elevator and it was somewhat noisy until we thought to turn the fan on constant.

A\C sounded like an airplane engine. Sort of got used to it.

We've stayed here twice. Both times the Internet service was abysmal. I couldn't even log in to check my work emails on their Internet. I had to use my own personal hotspot in order to access the Internet. I also couldn't use my Amazon Fire Stick to watch anything on the TV because of the constant Internet issues.

Hotel appearance is good, but hotel needs revamped. Cheap furnishings. Some outlets, phone and A/C didn’t work. Had to transfer to another room. Non-working outlets in other room too. Front parking lot small; had to park in back lot. Good hot breakfast.

Room probably hasn't been updated in 20 years. Could be cleaner

Hotel is in a safe location and was easy to navigate. The room, and hotel itself, was clean. The staff that I encountered was friendly enough. The breakfast area was super clean with a great selection of hot and cold tasty choices. The only bad I could find is it's extremely noisy; doors slamming shut all hours of the night. Room 120, next to breakfast area and lobby, is a terrible room if you are a light sleeper (like me).

Terrible front desk clerk. First gave me key cards that didn’t work and then when I got the new keys, there was another guest in the room. She never apologized. She was too busy having a personal phone call

The first room we checked into had obviously not been cleaned. Went down to the front desk and she profusely apologized and switched our rooms, and upgraded us to a suite. It was clear that the new one had been cleaned and we didn’t have any issues after that.

We were traveling from SW Missouri to Florida & staying over in Tupelo to break up the drive. We encountered tornado breakouts along the way & didn't arrive to our room until 4:00am. (Planned to arrive at midnight). At 8:00am in the morning, housekeeping was banging on our door & woke us up. She said she thought we were a no-show. If we were a no-show, why would the room even need cleaned? Our check-out time was 11:00 so we were hoping to sleep in from our weather ordeal. Please ask housekeeping to double-check for late check-ins. Also, with a gas outage in the city, we had no hot water for showers or personal hygiene. We were not informed beforehand of this outage.

Check in was a pain! The restroom could have been cleaner. Breakfast was a joke!

Considering the rating of this hotel, I was very disappointed. The rooms were fine, but it was obvious that they were a bit shabby and hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. There was random dirt/trash under the desk and the bathroom was dingy. The worst was the breakfast. If you like carbs, it was fine - bread, bagels, biscuits (no gravy), waffles (the machine timer was broken, bring your stopwatch). No fruit anywhere, no yogurt, a few prepackaged eggs (ick) and some sausage patties. The juice machine was broken. Overall, just really disappointing.

Room was good, bathroom not very clean. Room smelled fresh however and comfortable. Several expired Yogurt at Breakfast.

The breakfast wasn’t much ! I think Comfort could do better with their breakfast !

We asked to check in early, and perhaps they were not through placing enough towels in our room. But other than that, it was a very good stay, and people at the hotel were very nice. We would stay there again. And surprisingly the biscuits were piping hot and gravy was really good. The sausage was exceptional! Good coffee!
