I was disappointed when we arrived to find out they didn't have the breakfast I was led to believe they did. When we got to our room it was a old and dingy. We noticed mold in the bathroom. We alerted them and was moved to another room. It was a little better. The elevator was slow and one didn't work. The hotel isn't as nice as the pictures show. The area isn't the greatest. The only saving grace is the sweetest people at the front desk.

Great reception staff, super clean room, internet, good coffee in the lobby. Close to Forest Park sites and the freeway. Well lighted parking lot. Very good value. Not a big chain! If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the opposite side of where the freeway is.

They did not offer breakfast, and at least half the cars in the parking lot were broken into. The morning we checked out we met a gentleman whose car had been broken into parked out front, and the hotel had no cameras or security. The room was dirty, and the pillows smelled like actual poop. Staff was very friendly checking us in and out, when I tried to request a refund for the second night since it was so gross and didn’t offer breakfast, they were a little snippy and denied my request. Won’t be staying here again.

Only one of the elevators worked and the one that did barely ever worked , I had to take the stairs multiple times due to elevator not working. There is also no fan in the bathrooms. Elevator also always smelled like urine.

The place is obviously old. The elevator made so much noise and we were a little concerned about especially since we were on the 7th floor. towels were thin and old. carpet felt damp. Floors sticky. but bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Nice enough at check in. For the money it was fine.

Car was broken into while parked at the front door with supposed security securing property. No one called me or informed me until I walked back into building after seeing my windows bust. Prior to that 1-2am couple faught and arguing in the next room. Paid for 2 non refundable days. Asked for contact info on corporate or franchise number no one seemed to be knowledgeable of any of that information. Asked about previous deposit returns that were charged and never received. Knowledge of that remained still to this day unresolved.

Room 512 is infested with bed bugs. They were in the bathroom and all over the pillows. Luckily, I always check the room before settling in. The front desk staff was very friendly and was immediately apologetic over the situation. I was moved two floors away. I thoroughly checked the second room, which didn't have any evidence of bugs. At first glance, the room appeared very clean, but the back of the bathroom door where you hang your towel or toiletry bag was disgusting, the headboard was vile, the side of teh bathroom vanity was really dirty, there was pubic hair on 3 of the 5 towels, and the fitted sheet was inside out. Don't know if the flipped sheet means anything, like if they flipped it instead of fresh sheets, or if it is just a lack of caring whether it is right side out. The bedding appeared clean and felt starchy. The pillows and mattress were really worn down and lumpy/saggy. They're marked as having breakfast, there's no breakfast. The balcony is a nice touch. Can be a little loud due to being near several hospitals and the highway, but overall the area was the perfect location as I needed to be near BJH. Alot of STL hotels have reviews that report bedbugs, so it's not a problem limited to one place, but since the room had cleanliness issues, I probably wouldn't come back.

I arrived at almost 4 am after a long day at the hospital—my mom had surgery, & I just needed a few hours of real rest before heading back. Hotels.com and the front desk staff made it super easy to check in way before the normal 3 p.m. time, no hassle at all. The room was spotless, bed was so comfortable, and it honestly felt like heaven after trying to sleep upright in those awful hospital chairs. Exactly what I needed when I needed it.

WE stayed at this hotel for about 5 nights. as soon as we stepped into the building, it smelled very moist in the worst way possible. And then when we stepped into our room, there were so many staines on the bed sheets. it all just felt so unclean. as we stayed through out the days, spiders started showing up in the room and in the bathroom. The floor is terribly dirty, you are not able to take your shoes or socks off because you will get literal black feet, disgusting. Room service would never come to clean no matter how may times we'd asked them to come and change or clean something. Anytime we asked for something for the room to be added on, we were given the information that it will come today or tomorrow, but it only came when it was almost time for us to leave the hotel.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The room was dirty, and I woke up to a cockroach crawling on my arm. The pillow had yellow stains—I'm not sure from what, but thankfully I brought my own. The fridge didn’t work, and about half of the electrical outlets were non-functional. Very disappointing experience.

Dirty older hotel in desperate need of upgrades. Only one elevator works and sounds like you’re about to plummet to your death. Shower had mold on ceiling, probably from lack of bathroom fan. Holes patched all over room and bathroom door. Came to expect the smell of marijuana our entire stay.

My room had a horrible smell to it. I dont think adjusting the aircon actually changed it. The refrigerator made a loud noise all night and was beat up. There were various stains on the carpets, walls and floor. Some were definitely from the body. The bathrub filled while I tried showering because the drainage was poor. The stairwell smelled so bad and also had various stains. We found hair in our bedsheets and left feeling itchy and grossed out. The area is definitely not the safest and no one was actually in the security car they had parked out front. The pool was closed, so if you were looking forward to a pool--don't. The staff was nice, but that's about it.

Love my stay here and it was clean. The staff were nice and polite and provided me with all I needed. The only thing I would say that could be better is the wifi. It didn’t reach far to room 509. If you guys can remove the free breakfast since you guys don’t offer this would help with booking. Otherwise then that, everything was great. Thank you for your service.

Small balcony, but a nice touch to have. The Barricade at one end of the parking lot was confusing. The three attempts to get a room key that worked wasn't ideal. Lastly, the bathroom is a little compact, but has all the amenities you need.

Stayed here since we went to a concert nearby. Overall things went ok staying here, but overall this property needs MAJOR renovating and updates. It’s a VERY bare minimum place to stay. All the furniture was visibly scuffed up/breaking down. The armchair looked like it got mauled by a cat. Hallway carpet is coming apart. Holes in the walls from artwork being torn down in the bedroom. No overhead lighting, hardly any amenities. No breakfast. Luckily we just needed a place to sleep so we didn’t have to spend too much time in the room outside of sleeping there. Probably wouldn’t stay here again tbh.

This place was okay, as in all the facilities worked. It's an older facility with an attempt made to revive it. The foyer/registration area looks best/more modern. Stained carpets, upholstered chairs and drapery. We were on the 6th floor but even do our patio sliding door would not latch closed/locked. If I had been alone I would not have stayed in the room. I'm sure twenty years ago it was a very nice place. I guess they're trying. Check-in process went smoothly and security was taken seriously.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The building is older so not everything is most modern. The rooms and linens were clean. I stayed on 7th floor on the evens side of the hall that faces the highway. The traffic noise was a bit much for me. The room also had no coffee maker. Probably would not stay there again unless I stayed on the odd numbered side

I appreciated getting the higher-level room I requested, but that’s about where the positives end. Housekeeping never came during my 5-day stay, even after multiple requests. Highway noise.Towels had to be picked up at the front desk, and the bedding didn’t even fit properly. The hotel felt a bit unsafe, though thankfully nothing happened. I wasn’t expecting luxury, but I did expect better than motel-level service. Sadly, I can’t recommend this hotel for longer stays.

I just needed to get away and do some thinking. To collect my thoughts and center myself again. All the staff were extremely happy 😊 and helpful. The 1st man I came in contact with at 4am was so helpful. There was a problem with my reservation and he explained how the hotel system worked. I made my reservation online and since our was made after 6pm as it was explained to me the computer system kicked my reservation to the next day so I was told I could sit in the lobby until 8am and talk to the morning manager about paying the extra fees for early check-in. The only complaint I have is I had a bunch of gnats in my room. I ❤️ Love the shower have safety rails. I've had 5 back surgeries so I'm extremely cautious. I wasn't driving so i love that I could walk to a couple place to eat including two gas stations

We decided to spend the night, and tour The Hill district in St. Louis. The location of the hotel worked out great. It was close to areas we wanted to visit. There was some work going on in the hotel, but it wasn't intrusive. Johanna was extremely helpful, pleasant and professional. The room was comfortable and clean. Our view overlooked the city. A great stay, and we would definitely stay there again.

The neighborhood is a little challenging, loud people smelling of cannabis hanging around the exterior at night. The hotel was dated but clean and a nice place to sleep. The pool was nice in the hotter days. They are less than a mile from forest park, which is a huge bonus. Lots of good restaurants around also.

Pictures and reviews led me to believe this was located in park like area near zoo. Instead it was a sketchy, concrete jungle next to hwy that was so noisy couldnt hear tv. Dirty with weird smells. Hair on coffee cups in room. Felt very itchy and uncomfortable.

This is not an obvious property but it is a very viable alternative. It is quiet, safe, easy to park, close to Forest Park and many of the other main areas of interest in St. Louis. For the sake of transparency it is an older property and it shows in the furniture, decore and rugs. It could be a bit cheaper considering it is an old property but it does have a convenience factor. The immediate area around the property is not beautiful but it is a very practical place to stay.

Overall the hotel is ok. The room and linen were clean. The hotel is older and could use some updating. The room service was non existent. I called down for face towels (because there was only 1 in our bathroom) and I was told that I could come down to get some. The next day, I called down for a plastic spoon and was told "they didn't have any". I have never been told that from a hotel staff before, to come get the items that you need and that should have been in the room to begin with. There is no breakfast, not even fruit or breakfast bars. We will not stay here again.

The customer service was excellent! What I didn’t like about the hotel was there was no breakfast or coffee and in my room there was a microwave sitting on top of the refrigerator, but there was no outlet to plug in the microwave. This was very inconvenient because we had to go across the street to the gas station to warm our food.

The location was excellent, easy access to museums, dining, and parks. The hotel is old like me and shows its age like me. The website didn't mention they had a pool but it exists. It did mention a Keurig in the room that didn't exist. The staff claimed a discount (that doesn't exist) at the breakfast restaurant (that is excellent).

We were looking for a cheaper hotel for the night that would be safe for us and our cars outside. This hotel was great and the staff was very friendly. Checking in/out was quick and easy. Compared to other hotel reviews seen around the St. Louis area, this one was better by far. While there is no complimentary breakfast, there is a coffee bar by the front desk which was nice too.
