This place screams “I need a make over” The bath tub was slippery with no anti slip mat or materials AND no safety hand rail. The bathroom door frame was too short. A huge wall patch in the bathroom didn’t match the wall. We arrived and found someone had taken the remote batteries for the TV. We couldn’t get the TV to work. The next day we mentioned this and when we returned later the TV had been left running. The outside doors were unlocked (even though they had security locks) More than once we heard people in our end of the building who entered through the back door making us feel unsafe.

The ceiling was leaking water from the room aboves toilet. There was a dirty plunger outside our room on the room door the whole time and a old broken toilet sitting in the hallway. The outside doors didnt lock and we had strangers knocking out our door looking for women in the middle of the night. Trash was on the floor next tonour bed from the previous guest

This place sold and confirmed the availability of a suite with two beds and a spa tub on Friday 7/4/25. The reservation was for arrival on 7/5/25 and departing 7/6/25. Upon arrival 7/5 I was given keys to room 108 which was a room with one queen bed. I returned to the front desk and showed the confirmation of the room I had paid for. I was told that the room was not available. I was offered another room or a refund. I choosed the refund. From their parking lot I contacted Hotels.com to start the refund process. The hotel will not answer their phone for me or the Rep from Hotels. The one time they did answer the phone they hung up on the Hotels Rep. Later in the day the Hotel fraudulenty claimed that I changed my reservation to a Single Queen Bed. I have contacted Wyndham customer service and was sent an email that they would get back to me within a week! This hotel is a disgrace. The lobby smells like Bad Marijuana, their vending and ice machine don't work. The lady at the front desk was a little bit understanding but whoever she kept calling couldn't care Less.

In disrepair. Wyndham would be embarrassed to be associated with this place. Beds were worn out. Has definitely gone downhill fast, we used to stay here a lot but after this last stay we won’t be staying there again. Ice makers broken wall paper is peeling paint is scuffed.

It’s a two story building, no rooms on the first floor is used (don’t know why, no one was there at the hotel) no elevator, and no handicap rooms, ramps, or door openers.

this was the FILTHIEST hotel i have ever been at. we made our reservation thru hotel.com for 1 night after the eclipse. when we got to our room the floors looked like they had never been vacuumed to include the hallways, the office chair looked like the vinyl had been tore off it, the setting chair was filthy with holes in it, pulled back the bedding and the bottom sheet had a stain on it which made us realize the bedding had not been washed, the top of the toilet tank had a big crack in it and the base boards were not in place, rusted and unfinished. Also air conditioning unit was as dirty as the rest of the room.

They checked us in to a dirty used room and then put us in a room with no tp and unfinished room with broken tiles, no electrical covers and doors falling off. No ice. People were using extension cords in hall across the entrance cooking outside the door.. if it weren't for it being non refund we would of left.

when i got to my room and pulled back sheets they were dirty and the other bed when i pulled back cover there were crumbs in the bed. They did give me another room. The smell was not great

The room stunk. There was dark hair and ear wax on the sheets. The floor was broken in places and my socks stuck to sticky areas on the floor. The chair in the room was ripped everywhere and had stains on it. I have never been in a super 8 this bad and I will be calling Wyndam and letting them know how bad this place is. I did not sleep here, I left.

I was willing to tolerate the no elevator and dirty carpets in hallway, dirty floors in my room, broken toilet seat, , trashy chair which I could not sit in, growth on the ceiling, fake fingernail left on the night stand....I was willing to tolerate all that crap....but hair in the bed I do not.

This hotel room was very gross. The shower was very moldy and the shower doors obviously had not been cleaned. One of the beds in the room was broken and extremely wobbly. The freezer in the mini fridge was frozen over and discolored most likely from more mold.

First room door would not work. Moved us upstairs with no elevator. Dragging all our stuff up a flight of stairs. The Tv would not even come on . There was an office chair at the dear. My husband sat down and the chair tipped over. A wheel was missing and the made a make shift wheel out of duct tape. The Wi-Fi would not connect. Bathroom had not been cleaned. Dirty towels on the floor and used soap in the shower. Keep driving folks DO NOT stay here!!

I appreciate the updates they have done, they’re trying to keep up with modern look. Beds were creeky and dusty so not the most comfortable sleep but no bugs and the room was clean, definitely like that there was tile instead of carpet which made it feel cleaner. I was in the second floor which seemed better looking but I can only say that based on the hallway carpet looking really rough on the first floor. Our office chair was rough looking just like the first floor carpet maybe the rough reviews stayed on the first floor so I suggest asking for the second floor. AC ran cold but it was so loud and the walls are like paper thin. It’s a bargain stay so didn’t expect much but we only stayed a night passing through on a road trip. TV didn’t work no matter what I tried, direct tv box maybe is dead.

When I checked in, the lady barely talked to me. She was upset that she had to change the toner in the copier. She did not wear a name tag. The room I was given needed some improvements. The clock in the room did not work. There were 2 remotes-one for turning it on and volume, the other for changing the channel. The bottom drawer on the cabinet has a handle on the inside of the drawer and it is falling apart. The handle on the sliding glass door on the shower is loose. The bathroom door frame needs a lot of paint and repair.

It’s an older hotel, so I kept that in mind. Minimal breakfast offerings, nothing hot or fresh cooked. There was a bad smell once we walked into the lobby. The room was smaller than I expected, so cramped. No closet or anywhere to hang clothes. There was a hole in the bathroom door, knee high so likely kicked in. There was no toilet paper, nor a dispenser for it, in the bathroom. The bed was not comfortable. It was one of the cheapest in the area, so I got what I paid for. I will not stay there again.

Rooms are still very old with mattresses that sag in the middle and sheets with stains. Was there 4 nights and housekeeping never came by. Weekends are terrible with noise and pot smokers. Checked out early and left.

Where to even begin… Jean at front desk terrible. Blood in ceiling (or something of that nature). Bowel movement in toliet. TV on. Sheets dirty. Pillows dirty. Shower still wet and had soap all over left used. Urine running down side of toliet. Absolutely disgusting chair - covered in dirt and grease. Remnants of smoking all over and the smell of weed was absolutely awful - like they locked up a skunk in the room. We walked out and drove over three hours home with no help from the contact numbers or anything. We reached out to other authorities in the city and they are working on a refund for us!!

We have stayed at this location several times. Every stay we've enjoyed the warm small town hospitality. All of the staff is cordial, knowledgeable, & willing to assist us with any needs. We always look forward to our next stay at the Poplar Bluff Super 8.

The pet room they had us in originally which we told them we had no pet and they still tried to put us in there. It smelled God Awful and was dirty. We go back to front desk and she got rude with us and rolled her eyes when we asked to be switched. And asked about getting the money back on the pet room was ignored. Our next room was dirty but we just delt with it because it was late and she was rude.

Huge thanks to super 8 poplar bluff Staff was friendly and helpful and we had a perfect eclipse day! Easy to set up our cameras o the premises. and many restaurants easily accessible.

Toast with a nonworking toaster does not constitute a free breakfast that is advertised. Dog hair all over bathroom floor. No microwave in room as advertised. No working ice machines. I understand cheap, but I don't think all Wyndham properties are this bad.
