Villa Surcouf 5 stars - sea view - private pool and beach 200m away

We spent a nice 2 weeks holiday in this pretty house. It is well equipped and functional, we only missed a few minor things (like small kitchen knifes or a sharpener, place matts etc). The pool is a highlight and nice and warm.The best part is the location, only a short walking distance from a stunning little beach!!The only disturbance occurred when we got a text message from the owner on our way home, still full of nice emotions... In their opinion we had left the house in a disastrous state, terrace disgusting (which we never used while biking every day), water facet open (I closed it personally), we should have taken off the bed sheets like it is written in the "file of regulations" (I did not book an Auberge de Jeunesse) and other things where I initially thought, that must be a confusion. But it wasn't!That really instantly killed the nice feeling and spoiled the holiday considerably.In future I will make documentary photos before and after.

This was a lovely spacious property that more than lived up to expectations. We received a very warm welcome and were confident that we could easily make contact should any issues arise. The kitchen was so well equipped we could have cooked a banquet. One issue is a lack of blind on the kitchen window should you wish to watch TV as the evening sun falls directly on the screen. Great pool and not too far to walk to town, port, beaches etc.

Fantastic stay, as always. Relaxing and all needs catered for. Highly recommended.

We have recently returned from a two week stay in Villa Surcouf where we had a wonderful time. We were 5 adults and 3 children and we all enjoyed ourselves very much. The house is spacious and clean, with everything you need for a holiday. The pool is well kept (and again, clean), the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook. There is a Casino supermarket 5 minutes drive away and Roscoff has a market every Wednesday with lots of stalls selling all kinds of local food produce. There is a small and very pretty white sand beach just two minutes walk down from the property, and Roscoff town can be reached by foot in about 15-20 minutes. It is a lovely little town where the ice cream shop was visited almost daily... The property makes an excellent base for exploring Finistère and Brittany - in the immediate area we recommend the small town of St Pol de Leon for a day trip, and the Ile de Batz which can be reached by ferry from Roscoff and makes for a nice day walking or biking. The Jardin Exotique found just five minutes from the house was more impressive than we expected and should also be visited. The property hosts were great and communication via text/phone was easy and straightforward. We were so grateful for the welcome basket with local treats. Thank you very much, we had a fantastic holiday - the children are already asking if we can come back next year...
