This was a decent hotel. I really liked having a kitchen available as well as the breakfast availability. Staff was very friendly. I went with my kids and they were very excited about the pool. I wish the pool was cleaner and warmer.

There was a warning after already booking that there would be limited elevator service. It was very inconvenient and left a lot of guest on edge and more rude than they probably would normally be. Would have been nice to have a reduced price for how inconvenient that was. Otherwise the stay was pretty good. The rooms don't have much sound proofing, you can hear everything going on in the halls and outside. The bathrooms are dated and seem to have a lot of water damage.

Valet parking is uncoordinated! They leave the car and take your keys to get another car. Once you receive your text that your car is ready, you have to wait longer because the employees do NOT delegate properly to get the cars while another give the keys to the guest. So much time wasted waiting on them. Several families affected waiting outside the hotel! Valet employees were not friendly nor communicative.

It is a great location and our room was nice. Valet parking is a nightmare!! It’s the only option for parking, it’s expensive, and it takes FOREVER to get your car back. We were told to ask for our car 15-20 before we needed it. We submitted our request at 9:10. We got a text at 9:28 saying it would be another 35 mins!!! Ridiculous.

A last minute booking since our other hotel we had booked messaged their pool was closed. So I found this and was in a reasonable price range for fhe area. We were going to Wrigley Field for a game and the red line train is one block and close walk to hotel. The staff was so helpful and giving me instructions on the subway train and how to use ticket app and where to get off for Wrigley which ended up being a 20 min ride. The area all around the hotel has so much to do so plenty of restaurants and shops and walkability factor is A+. We used the pool and only complaint is it could use someone going in and cleaning up, finding clumps of hair on the floor and towels laying around along with garbage left behind kind of grossed me out. The bed was comfortable but the rest of the room needs some attention. The couch looked gross and carpet could be replaced in my opinion. Our room was clean but I could feel something gritty on my feet walking around in bare feet so I think needed some mopping. The showerhead was the worst- low water pressure and wonky water flow coming out of it. The complimentary breakfast was good with lots of options and plenty of seating. For the room rate it was a good stay, would probably stay again.

The staff and service were excellent, however, the condition of the room was unacceptable. The sheets were not properly cleaned, the room had a bad odor, and there were fingerprints with what appeared to be stool on the walls, absolutely unhygienic. The administration should thoroughly inspect the cleanliness of the rooms and consider updating the facilities. There were several cracks in the bathroom wall that had not been properly repaired. Unfortunately, due to these conditions, I will not be returning.

Definitely mold in the room, ceiling, and bathroom. The pullout couch was disgusting, the dishwasher was dirty, and the room in general just felt unclean. Super disappointing after reading such good reviews online.

Very nice hot breakfast. However, the sheets in my room had obviously not been cleaned. There were hairs from the last guest all over my pillowcase, eww! Wallpaper is peeling from the walls, bathroom looked like it needed a good scrub, only one of the elevators was working, so we had to go down 9 flights of stairs multiple times over the weekend. The breakfast was good, but that was about it. The building seriously needs updates, and the staff needs to actually clean the rooms between guests.

The front desk team were very nice but the room was dirty. Dirty dishes on the shelf, dusty on all curtains and the room smelled like mold mildew. Even when not in use water dripping drom ceiling in bathroom Told front desk they had somone come deep clean. Showed pictures of dust. Came back late that night still had dust same dirty glasses on the shelf

I am for a nice clean room. The sink in the handicapped bathroom had mold in the sink and the shower. Since I was there in Chicago for a total joint replacement I felt it was not out of line to call and ask for housekeeping to come clean my bathroom. They sent a maintance man with a paper towel and he wiped the sink and said it was cleaned. I said what about the shower. He said it was not mold it was stained grout. I took a Q-tip and swiped it on the dirty grout and it was black on the Q-tip. Notice, he’s arguing with me about my concerns. He left and a non speaking lady from housekeeping came and she had a grout brush in her cleaning arsenal and I took it and just made a swipe around the area in the sink where the mold was. There were big chunks of mold and her eyes popped open and said something in Spanish. I didn’t show her in the shower so it was not cleaned. She took a towel around the mop and did a dry mop in the bathroom that included the area in the shower. Did I feel it was cleaned? No because she didn’t understand English I felt I need to let it go and do the best I could do to not get the mold stirred up. Otherwise, the people were very personable and nice. I did feel some of the people acted above their call of duty. I did take pictures of the mold in around the sink and mold in the shower and of the dirty Q-tip as well my phone # (501) 529-4108.

Carpet was stained in our room, towel rack in bathroom kept falling off the wall, toilet paper holder was also very loose. The beds were ok at best, not very comfortable, the pull out mattress was awful and all you could feel was springs. I read on another review that they offer a mattress topper so we got that for our son and it made a big difference for him. The staff was amazing, the breakfast was wonderful each morning.

The place is nice and you can find anything around, no need to rent a car. The only thing that did not meet my expectations was the sofa-bed. The mattress was too thin and I felt like sleeping in the springs.

Our family of 3 had a wonderful stay at the Homewood Suites. We had a corner suite with a separate bedroom area. It was a good size room for such a central location. From the hotel we could hop on the red line of the L and easily get to major attractions, like Lincoln Park to the north and Millenium Park to the south. We were also just across the street from Uno’s, the historic originator of the famous deep dish pizza. ALL the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a delightful experience at Homewood Suites.

Location was convenient but close to a fire station so sirens went off most of the nights. Windows let air and sound in so very noisy with the sirens and cars ripping up the street at night. The mattress was very uncomfortable and the pillows completely flat. Take your own pillow if you book this hotel. Cleanliness was good but we stayed 3 nights and our towels were never changed out. No housekeeping of our room during our stay. Charged $72 a night to leave car parked just be aware. Staff was always friendly but check in is on 6th floor instead of first floor.

I did some research for all the Hotels in Downtown Chicago, I picked this one as it has Great location, Breakfast included and Pool. We booked a corner suite with a amazing View on 16 floor, for a family of 3, with the kitchen and fridge and dishwasher. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the Breakfast was great and all the hotel Staff were super friendly and helpful. I was able to extend my check out until 1pm for a $39.00 fee. The Subway Grand Station is 5 minutes to Hotel, to catch the Blue line to O'Hara and a Shuttle to airport , takes about an hour door to door. Make sure you have $3.00 US to $5.00 in change to get to and from Airport. The subway only has a few machines that take cash or credit. The Pool at the Hotel was very nice, and warm and open until 11pm , with clean towels , and a Gym. Hotel is walking distance to all the shopping, and attractions, Cathedral and restarants and Jewel Grocery store. Thank you Homewood suites and Staff for a wonderful stay in Chicago, beds were very comfortable. We also caught the Bus 146 to Solder Filed to see OASIS in Concert. this Bus was great to travel to this area.

Excellent location to River, transit and restaurants. Comfortable and spacious suite; liked the separation of living and bed areas. Had great southern city and skyline views. Negatives: accommodations in room worn and slightly outdated. Did not like seeing visible stains on furniture.

Place was fairly clean. The furniture feels like worn out IKEA furniture from a hand me down store. Complete lack of power outlets, my wife had to pull the night stand out to reach hers for her CPAP. I had to run a cable into the bathroom for mine as there were no power outlets on my side. My wife and I like it on the cold side(68 ish) but it seems that the hvac system was only kicking out warm air. We had to open a window(only one room's window would open) and then we lost sound isolation from outside due to that. In general it felt worn down and dated. Felt like we were staying at the cheapest hotel in town.

The staff at this property were amazing! Everyone was so kind and hospitable! This was our first time visiting Chicago and the front desk staff gave us some great tips on navigating the city. The breakfast in the morning was always delicious and they had different options every day! When you are there for a few days in a row it was nice to have variety! The pool although small had a great view on the top floor! We cannot wait to come back and will definitely stay here again!

Very poor service and response. I am disabled and so, booked an accessible room early on. I also called the hotel after that to confirm that I had the room, which they assured that I did. On the day we arrived, we were told no accessible room is available. The same story the next day. It took me so much effort and time before I was able to get me the room I booked, and I needed. They said they would compensate me for the first day I stayed and that did not happen either. What a shame and disappointment. I expected so much more from a hotel with the Hilton company. They put me in an unsafe environment. I will never book that hotel again.

Oh my gosh, I have never had such a wonderful experience with a hotel before! The staff is absolutely wonderful, especially Courtney. She answered every question that we had and was more than accommodating. The room was absolutely gorgeous and I have not one single complaint. We will definitely stay here again!!!!

Property felt old. No one present to welcome you into the street entrance and direct you to the 6th floor lobby, we had to figure it out for ourselves after reading a small sign. Reception at front desk was very unwelcoming, the lady had a frown and didn't greet or make eye contact, all she said was "you need to wait as I try to log in". Room was in poor shape. Torn carpeting and had a wet spot that we all stepped into as we first got in. Kitchen sink spout leaked water all over the counter as you turned it on, it had green lime deposits all over the spout. Staff at the breakfast was warm and welcoming but didn't bother to inform guests that the other side of the dining room had tables after the main area filled up. There were 3-4 attendatnts that were content chatting it up as a group outside the kitchen door. On check-out day, I used the app to chat with front desk to inquire about late check-out since our flight wasn't until the afternoon. I didn't get a response until 2 hours after we had already checked out at 11am. If it wasn't for the location and ease of commute, I probably wouldn't consider ever staying at this property again.

the front desk staff and valet were both incredibly rude and unhelpful during our stay. we arrived to the lobby and approached the front desk where two girls were talking (not work related) and they continued their conversation for five minutes before even acknowledging that we were in the room. we also asked about parking because the valet out front had told us to pull into the parking structure because it was for the hotel - it was not for the hotel - she then looked at me like i was stupid for asking (parking is available according to the listing and i assumed the valet who works for the hotel would know) and said we dont do that and went back on her phone.

Stayed for 6 nights—the staff at the valet desk were incredibly kind! However, we had trouble checking in. We arrived really early and had no issue leaving our bags with valet and enjoying the city for a few hours (did not expect our room to be ready when our flight landed). We were checked in, then told to come back around 3. At around 3, we were asked to wait a few more minutes, and would be told when our room was ready. However, there must have been a staff change, because we waited an hour and watched many other people get checked in and go to their rooms. I went back up to the desk, and the person then on duty checked me in again as if we’d never been there, and acted a bit annoyed with me. They did not give me any information about our room or security deposit—just handed me the card with a frown. Our room was as pictured, but not incredibly clean. Housekeeping comes every other day (pretty standard), but they left our trash bag sitting in the middle of the kitchen, leading to flies, and never replenished our shampoo (it was empty when we got there). They also did not replenish our toilet paper halfway through the trip. We had to call down and ask for both of these things (twice for the shampoo, because it never arrived the first time). Positives of staying are that it’s in a great area and, again, valet was very nice. I wouldn’t stay here again, though.

The first night we arrived our room was hot and stinky. We were so tired that we just wanted to sleep so we didn’t say anything. I spoke with Courtney(front desk) the next morning and she was very kind, apologetic and helpful and got my family and I into a different room.

The staff that would take care of the breakfast buffet was exceptional! Real human beings that authentically serve with empathy and respect. Lacey, Pricilla, Guadalupe, Jeremey (?) and Ivan made us feel at home, so much so, that I found myself looking forward to greeting them every morning as well aa eating that delicious breakfast buffet."

Our family had a wonderful stay here. The valet parking was a great and efficient service for us and all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful to us. The room was perfect for our needs as well. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're back in Chicago.

The check-in was smooth and the staff was courteous throughout our stay. On request, early check-in was done and suite on a higher floor was given to us. The check-in staff even made an exception for refundable deposit which I really appreciate. The swimming pool and fitness center were also nice. The breakfast was nice too, only as we stayed 3 days - we observed that the breakfast repeats every alternate day. May be if you can have more options/ varieties for breakfast...

Everything you would expect for a stay in a major city. I’d suggest adding some healthier options for breakfast but I get it. It’s hard to do. But I won’t knock the breakfast, it was good.
