My granddaughters first time staying in a hotel. It was my birthday trip to see a show at the Bloomington Center for Performing Arts. We had no issues with our room, except we had to take stairs since the elevator on that end doesn’t work.

Hot tub chemicals were way too strong making it difficult to breathe in that area. We were disappointed with that but the pool was good as long as you could get back away from the hot tub

I use it as a staycation getaway whenever I need some time alone and it’s just the perfect place. Located in the middle of everything you would ever need in Bloomington. Great pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. Always clean.

Nice property. Close to hwy. Good choices for breakfast. Pool was cold and hot tub was too hot to sit in. Sauna looked like it hasn't worked in a while. All in all I would stay there again.

Decent breakfast. The restaurant in the hotel needs a server. Currently the bar keep serves drinks, takes meal orders and serves food. When we were there she was overwhelmed with all of this. She had an excellent attitude about it though.

Loved it there were just a couple questionables hanging outside but hey it’s Bloomington! Loved the breakfast, HUGE fresh selection! Pool clean, room clean, staff excellent!! Would stay again!

Steps in pool are hazardous and very hard to get out of. They had 2 elevators down and housekeeping using one that was operating so long lines to use elevators. Overall experience was very good. Well come back.

When we checked into our room, the toilet had overflowed in the bathroom and we walked into Ross sewage after we took our shoes off. Rather than compass a room they just moved to another one and didn’t even offer to help anyway else.

Do not stay here - there was obvious blood on the carpet in the room I was given. I let them know about it at the front desk and was offered another room, which I declined due to the fact that there was a police presence at the hotel (police cars were pulled up by the lobby), there was a group of people literally having a party in the back parking lot which was the only place available to park, and there was literal garbage in the halls and on the antique furniture - several bags of garbage from restaurants that were left outside of the room instead of people throwing them away inside of the room. Due to health and safety concerns, I chose to leave, and by doing that, they charged me an additional $60 for leaving on top of the hotel room charge. The condition of their hotel is what made me leave, and i was penalized for it instead of them realizing there rooms shouldn’t have blood in them.

Pool and hot tub area were great, especially for my kids. Breakfast was top notch and filling! Had very loud “neighbors” whose small children were up way past 11pm banging on the walls. Trash under the bed when we walked in. Beds are very soft.

Unusual property. Entrance to get room key is actually the 2nd floor. Our room was on the 1st floor….for a minute I thought basement? But no, it was a very pleasant room above ground considered 1st floor. Secure doors, nice window, very quiet. However, the bed was supposed to be a Queen….it was more like a regular double bed. My husband and I were very uncomfortable.

They’re trying.. bed was hard and uncomfortable. The pillows they provided appeared to be the size of decorative couch pillows , and on top of that they were flat. The walls were paper thin and I could hear everything my neighbors were doing to each other all night if you know what I mean.

I’ll start with positives: Easy to find and well-located off the interstate. This was a quick stay for our fam as we were passing through. Our room was a decent size for four people. And seemed clean. Our room was surprisingly quiet (not a lot of hallway or street noise) Why we won’t be back: Just not our vibe. Felt old, but not in a vibey, nostalgic way. The pillows….oh my gosh my poor husband couldn’t sleep. Worst pillows ever. Bathroom shower - worst engineering imaginable. Three people in our fam of four needed showers and the water is not easily contained inside a poorly-engineered shower stall. Service - slow, and not particularly pleasant. We needed extra towels (bathroom floor) but there wasn’t any way to call front desk or housekeeping for towels, so had to visit the front desk in our pjs ;). We survived one night for sure. Could have been worse, of course. But we will not be staying here again.

The hotel was probably fine a few decades ago. However, it needs improvement. The rooms feel damp, but the air conditioner is incredibly loud. It kept me awake all night. The mattresses are not firm enough for two people to sleep on, you will roll towards the middle. The bathroom has been updated, but there is no ventilation at all.

Homeless lady ate breakfast, hung out, staff was extremely slow to handle situation. Arrived an hour early before 3pm and they requested a $20 early check in fee so we waited. Upon checkin, they then gave us access to an occupied room. Front desk attempted to laugh it off and blame cleaning staff. Parking lot was not well lit. Very odd hotel, will not be back.

Following a subsequent call, I experienced a 15-minute hold before disconnecting and placing another call. Despite a shorter hold time on the second attempt, and after reiterating my request, I was placed on hold again. Room was in good condition. The check in person on Saturday, November 15th 3:15pm could use some retraining on customer service. Her disposition and mannerisms were off putting., this coming from a twelve year person within the industry. Hotels.com had a reservation confirmed for two rooms, upon arrival your system only showed one. The rate for the additional room could not be matched and we were not offered a 2nd room until nearly the end of my interaction. The woman blamed the slow system, no wifi was offered at check in, and overall it made for a bad transaction. Pool area was nice, bar attendant was friendly and social with our group. mannerisms were not

Check in took forever about 30 minutes to be exact and I was in the furthest room away on the fifth floor with one of the elevators closest to my room inoperable and there was no direction or labels or indicators on the fifth floor to which direction my room was from the main elevators. Just the whole process of checking in and figuring out where my room was took forever. I use Expedia for fast check-in and this was the opposite.

You can’t beat the value! Everything was clean, lots of hot breakfast items as well as grab and go items. The rooms were clean and updated for the most part. I would say the only negative would be the parking lot. You have to walk a bit to get to the front entrance or to enter the building after dark. We would stay again!

First off, the hotel is stunning. It looks like a castle! Staff was very welcoming at check-in. She made sure to ask us if it was our first time there, and listed the amenities with practiced ease. The food at the lounge was excellent, and the bartender/server was friendly and attentive. She even changed the channel on one of the TVs for us. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. We especially enjoyed the rainfall shower head. The indoor pool was clean and a welcome treat on a blazing hot July day. It was almost too cold! The hot tub was also very much appreciated. The complimentary breakfast was varied, fresh and the food we tried was very tasty. There were pastries, several varieties of cereal, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, hash browns, biscuits, sausage gravy, yogurt and fresh fruit available. Don't sleep on the decor! There is a fountain out front and another in the lobby. Also, there are antique cabinets and curio displays in the lobby and adjoining hallways with various collections of antiques to see. I will definitely stay here again if I'm back in Bloomington.

Interior while interesting, everything dated and carpeting is not super clean looking. Room was old, with a bit of update. Bathroom tiny, but walk in shower was nice. This is a vintage hotel from 1988. They had a large pool, but did not use it. Breakfast was not the greatest. Breakfast room not great and welcoming. Bagged scrambled eggs, potatoes microwaved. Not sure where Breakfast sausages cooked. Its a really basic hotel breakfast.
