The elavater didn’t work and service was not good

It was good. Just didn't know there were no cups or cutlery when there's a kitchenette . Nor ice machines. They should say that on the site

The hotel elevator was out of order for almost a month. My room was on the 3rd floor. The hotel should have notified guests in advance, so I could have booked another hotel.

I had to request for things for an extend stay .. like the pots. And there were no cutleries or plates. The are was also dirty.

Most standard Kitchen dishes and utensils were not available during our stay and that is one of the reasons for choosing an extended stay property. The hotel apologized but did not solve the issue.

I had to drive completely around the entire building, at night, to find where the entrance to the Lobby was, and then there was no available parking near the entrance to check-in, so l had to drive around the corner of the building to park, which made me uneasy as there were three males hanging out in the parking lot. I was disappointed that there was some bits of something in the bathtub when l ran the water to pre-rinse it, but mire surprised when l saw blackhair floating up the drain. Also, the big kitchen had no plates, cutlery or coffee maker, but there was a sign in the kitchen stating that you could request them from the front desk. The people at the front desk were easily accessible both when l checked in and checked out. The room was quiet, and AC worked well and was quieter than most units at other hotels l’ve been in. The dressers were worn (chipped and stained in the drawers), but the beds were fine (a bit too firm to my liking) and the sitting chair was in good shape too. Closet was huge! It was well stocked with towels and bathroom supplies, but one towel had black flecks on it (it was sittingbon the bathroom counter). The carpets needed to be replaced both in the room and hallways as they were worn and stained. Overall, I think in the future l will pay more to stay elsewhere.

The staff here were friendly and helpful. Check in and out were easy. The location is walkable to the Hampton Roads convention center, lots of parking. The room was clean and neat. In room amenities were minimal: had a kitchenette with stovetop, microwave and full fridge, but there were no utensils, mugs or cooking items on check in. These can be requested on an as needed basis. No in room coffee maker but free coffee in the lobby in the am.Towels smelled good. There was a nice comfortable recliner in the room. The TV had a problem with the screen, I'm sure they would have replaced it if I had bothered. Decent water pressure and bathroom well maintained. There did not appear to be any fitness room and no pool as far as I could tell. Convenient affordable night's sleep for my short stay of 2 nights. Surrounding area seemed safe. Larger shopping and restaurant area a short drive away (could be walkable if you're ambitious). Waffle House within easy walking distance.

Horrible experience. Upon checkin they booked my room on the 3rd floor, then told us the elevator was broken, (there was only one). No other available rooms on the 1st floor. Key Cards kept malfunctioning so i was locked out everytime i stepped out. There was no cookware in the room. You have to request from the front desk fir it to be delivered, but they made us go down 3 flights of stairs again to pick it up... never again.

The staff was wonderful. Friendly, helpful and kept their cool in spite of some challenges. The physical plant needs help--elevator was not working and battery in my door lock was dead, so took 3 trips to front desk (4 flights of stairs) to rekey and finally a lovely woman came in to repair lock. There was another guest with the same problem.

The AC unit in the room worked great and was not very loud. The bed was comfortable. The negatives: The lobby was small, unappealing, and looked dirty. Walls and floors throughout the building were scarred, marked, and dirty. The elevator was dirty, noisy, and moved awkwardly. The air in our room was damp, the bedsheets felt damp. (Running the AC with the covers pulled back for a few hours fixed this.) Like the hallway carpets, the room carpet looked well worn and stained. The television was small. The bathroom was clean, but everything appeared outdated and overused. Overall, the stay made us cringe and say "Never again."

They said no smoking but clearly people were smoking bc the roomed smelled of smoke. Bathroom NOT in great condition. It’s just a no for me.

This property was dingy. The staff was very nice but the property needs upgrading! The first room we got put into smelled like cat pee it was horrible. No amount of spray could mask the scent that was coming from The carpet. Me and my partner could bare to sleep in that. They upgraded our room for free, the upgrade was better but everything was old in there. The hallways had a funky smell to them. Thank goodness the staff was nice that’s the only good thing I really can say about it.

Bed was comfortable. No breakfast to speak of, just pre-packaged muffins. Room floor was very dirty with hair everywhere. I used a swiffer jet mop, and the pad was black when finished. The Bathroom door handle falling off. Hallway carpet very dirty.

My stay was very disappointing. The room was not fresh in smell. There was a stale smell with a slight marijuana smell radiating throughout the room. The microwave had not been cleaned out and it had burnt food inside, needed to be replaced. The dresser furniture was old and paint finishing was chipped off and water pressure in shower extremely low. Also there were baby roaches crawling through out the room periodically in the kitchen area and once in between the two beds. Having stayed at other Extended Stay properties, this was really shocking to me the untidiness of this particular property.

Found bugs in the room

This is a terrible property, and it should not be listed with Expedia. It is dirty and run down. The carpets are absolutely filthy, countertops had holes and stains, and the bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. Obviously would never return.

My rags had yellow stains on them when they were suppose to be white, the tv audio kept going out so I had to keep turning the tv off to hear the sound again, the drawers weren’t up to date they look very old even the insides of it looked old, the staff and service was the only thing that satisfied me.

It was very quiet

Not the greatest had to be moved out of first room because the air conditioner/heater went out. Other guests where having issues also with their’s

The television went out and I was told they would put a maintenance ticket in the next morning. Unacceptable.

This property was falling apart and stains on carpet. Kitchenette had peeling counter tops and rust on refrigerator. Electrical outlets were broken off.

Room was clean however did have a musty odor. Shower valve on the tub didnt work so i had to take a bath but that was fine, told the desk at checkout. Friendly staff

The staff was curteous, particularly Nesha. The kitchenette in the room is a big bonus, and the room was spacious.

I don't usually do not review hotel stays but I'm making an exception here because of our unique experience. This was the single worst/weirdest check-in I've ever had in my life. The front desk clerk seemed like he was on drugs with his bizarre behavior. Our check-in was delayed by about ½ hour because the clerk couldn't remember his password to log into the IT system. He also locked himself out of the office when he forgot his passkey. Other than that, the room was clean but the contents were poor condition. Example, the microwave/frig were rusted out. The smoke detector was covered with plastic to disable it’s function. Not recommended.

There was a problem with my reservation, and the staff did not offer any resolution. I had to figure out what to do on my own. I ended up going to another hotel.

All staff was great they even called your room to make sure things are all good in your room. I will definitely use this for business again every time I travel this way.

Everything was smooth plus great customer service

Shonette at the front desk was amazing! Extremely helpful and she even greeted the customers waiting as she tended to me. Very nice, peaceful stay.

For breakfast they only coffee and tea. Off brand muffins and a granola. Some staff members of the front office are ok and it’s 2 that are the rudest.

It was wonderful Nisha was a wonderful person to welcome people and take care of needs.

Staff was very friendly. Regular police patrolling the area. Could use a little minor maintenance (chain lock on my door was broken). Water to entire facility was shut off one morning without warning for approx. 90 minutes starting about 9 am - would have been really annoying if I was in the shower.

The property was near Walmart in the mall which is practically in walking distance. A heartfelt thank you to Bernice at the front desk who also recommended local places to eat. Place was very clean. Will most certainly stay here again.

Location is accessible for shopping and banking.

The hotel was secluded which was good. The staff were very nice and the room was clean. No issues during our stay.

I was a single women traveling and I was a little sketched out by the random people and activity around the property. The room was very basic to the point where it felt cold. Not cozy at all. Not the cleanest place either.

My car was taken out parking lot during my stay. Hampton police or hotel wasn’t any help no one could give me any info. The bed was like a sink hole. Bedding stained. Found used condom beside bed. I left out room in morning due to car stolen and had someone get my belongings. Items were missing because they went in room before we actually checked out. For this hotel to be in Coliseum Central and in this condition is ludacris. I had three men trying to get in my door at 2:30 am. Fire alarm hanging out ceiling. Old hair over toilet, bathtub. Last guests garbage was still in garbage can. This is not a safe location beware.

The location of the property was perfect as I was visiting for Hampton graduation. My family lives near by. I originally found a different hotel but the price spiked so I chose this one instead. When I arrived there was no one in the lobby so I had to call on the phone to get service. That wasn’t a huge inconvenience plus the staff was nice so it was fine. The quality of the rooms were the issue. They are extremely dated and the cleaning was not up to par. The microwave was rusted as was the frig. The bathroom had hair from previous guests on the walls and inside the tub. The ironing board sounded like scratching of a chalk board when trying to open it. We only used the room to shower and sleep as we were out with family most of the day but there was no real comfort in the room if we chose to just relax in there. The trash room was disgusting and the smell was a different story. The grab and go breakfast was ok and thoughtful but I will say the muffins were dry. Honestly I’d never stay there again. If the sole purpose is to get a few hours of sleep or just shower then this is the place. Otherwise, no thank you.

This is definitely a no-frills place, but it was very clean, well maintained, and the desk staff was very kind - even calling to confirm the reservation before arriving and calling the room withing the hour to make sure everything was ok. Again, no-frills - hot coffee and some muffins or granola bars in the morning. Furniture is certainly older, might find a light burned out, but again, clean, maintained and quiet.

Entrance door was dirty - had to request coffee maker and coffee at front desk. At check in it was stated that coffee and danish would be available and that was not available - we checked out at 10:30 am. Baseboards filthy. Would not recommend. Staff was very nice and polite but the building needs work - renovation.

I have stayed at one in Waynesboro , NC and this motel can’t compare ! I was surprised to find out there was no ice bucket, coffee pot with amenities for coffee, no cold cups , the TV channels were very difficult to read on the tv in the room due to the color of lettering used to display the channels and the desk clerk was difficult to understand their speech or words. You get what you pay for Minimal amenities .
