First thing you need to be aware of is that this property is next to a marina so you are getting marina water. No big waves . It had rained for several days and the odor was horrible. The beach itself appears to be one they have made and is nice. You will be charged an amenity fee when you get there that covers chairs, towels, paddle boards, etc. grounds are beautiful. NO elevator.. been out since hurricane. This seems to be an old Florida style motel with only 2 floors so … They have remodeled the rooms and rooms are nice if you don’t have huge cockroaches like we did. When we brought it to their attention the answer was we spray. The sky bar next to pool is really nice and drinks are reasonable and staff great. You can order bar type food and it is decent. The grounds and amenities are great. Rooms themselves are overpriced. If lowered the nightly rate I would stay here again(bring something to kill the cockroach’s) Housekeeping was wonderful. Clean towels every day. Yes it has a beach but not in the gulf. Stinky water.

The Skybeach hotel and Marina is a Hidden oasis at the tip of Saint Petersburg. And although the hotel is still recovering and rebuilding from hurricane damage, we had a lovely, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable stay. Special recognition should go to Marina at the front desk whose lively attitude and cheerful service elevated the whole experience. The amenities, the sky bar, the music on weekends and the private beach were just delightful.

Great resort! My daughters and I spent 4 night at Sky Beach and loved it. They offer complimentary paddle-board and canoes, beach service, towels and EVEN SPF 30 lotion. Each pool has spa water and pumps filled with sunblock! There are plenty of loungers and seating

Being under construction at the time, the outside didn't at first glance mirror the beautiful rooms & views. Starting with the newly renovated, stunning decor, fresh smelling office which offered flavored water & fresh baked cookies. The staff all around were friendly & very helpful. Beautiful, well kept property with convenient boutique coffee shop & full restaurant on site. Both with great quality food & drinks at average costs, which was refreshing for a resort type setting. The beach is small but kept clean & has lots of seating. Pools were immaculate. Live music the weekend was enjoyable from the beach & restaurant. I'd definitively go back!!

Great place hidden gym. Love the fact that they had two pools. I love the fact that they have a DJ and a live band. The staff is amazing and ready was super nice great hidden gym very peaceful. I would definitely stay there again.

Marina at the front desk was extremely welcoming and accommodating to us. We arrived at the hotel hours before check-in, but were permitted to use the property while we waited for a room to be ready. The heated pool felt amazing, the beach was beautiful, and the Sky Bar had serving staff to bring food and drinks to your location on the beach. Only 15 minutes from Downtown St Pete. We will definitely come back and stay again!

The hotel was really clean, modern, & safe. The Sky Bar and pool were fun and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet, cool and our view of the water was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The resort is perfect for any type of getaway—whether you're with family, as a couple, or just looking to relax. My husband and I brought along our 2-year-old son, and we all had an amazing time. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the beachside water activities kept us entertained for hours—we spent most of our time soaking up the sun there. The DJ and live music were such a fun bonus and really added to the experience. The only downsides were that the bed was uncomfortable and the pools weren't heated during our stay. However, once we mentioned it to the staff, they addressed it right away, which we really appreciated. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

We had a fabulous time at the resort. Someone mentioned in another review that the hotel doesn’t look like much from the highway but when you get inside it’s nice and I would agree with that assessment. The pools and the beach were amazing. We were greeted with welcome glasses of champagne which was an unexpected surprise. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was nice and there were a few amenities we didn’t get a chance to experience like the bike rentals and the gym but just knowing those were available was exciting enough. We noticed a few loose bricks on the second floor walkway but that would be my only criticism. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend.

This property was totally nice. Good point are Staff(reception of arrival, mechanical repair staff was mindful), safe, quiet, own private beach, comfortable space to have outdoor fun, Hopefully the facility should be maintained better condition. Terrace outside of room, Bath & shower , poolside venue was with bird's dropping.

This is a charming place with amazing views. Unfortunately they are recovering from a lot of water damage from last fall's hurricane. But they are working hard to get it back. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We had a gorgeous second floor room with features like a button on the bathroom mirror to keep it from steaming up, and ability to raise the window shade to the balcony from my phone. I can't wait to go back next year and give it a 5-star rating.

Great location. You don't hear the highway over the ocean. Private beach was decent but not as clear as other locations. Food was great but the drinks during non-happy hours were a bit expensive. Even though itis family friendly, it would probably be better suited as an adult resort due to the lack of children's activities. Staff was amazing. Bed was very firm and the blind in our room was broken, stuck in the down position. They did comp us two free drinks at the bar for the inconvenience. Rooms echo so you heard everything. Overall good resort for the budget.

Even though itis family friendly, it would probably be better suited as an adult resort due to the lack of children's activities. Staff was amazing. Bed was very firm and the blind in our room was broken, stuck in the down position. They did comp us two free drinks at the bar for the inconvenience. Rooms echo so you heard everything. Overall good resort for the budget.

Resort feel but rooms were being renovated under my room in early morning so interrupted my plans to sleep in. I could also hear the neighbor sneeze in the room next to us one night. Room furnishings were new but exterior room doors were older with evidence of age. the bathroom door was a bit warped and paint was damaged along the bottom. Room was clean but I felt the floors were not cleaned as well because my feet got dirty from walking in room w no shoes on. The restaurant and bar was great. Staff there were friendly and soft shell crab sandwich was delicious. The ocean beach area was cozy and they cleaned the sea grass daily from beach.

This will be a beautiful resort when the renovations are complete. The pool and beach area are 5 stars! Lots of sitting areas and views. Our room had been renovated but the air conditioner did not function well, if it wasn’t for the ceiling fan we would have been uncomfortable. The toilet kept running and the first night we didn’t have hot water. There was a $70 charge on our bill on check out that the front person couldn’t explain or remove. What started out at $179 per night turned into $270!

Very convenient location for skyway bridge and no additional charge for parking. Unfortunately, the front staff double charged me for my pet stay. They said they'd figure it out, but after staying for 2 nights they still hadn't fixed it at check out. Now they are saying to give them several more days to figure out how to fix their double charge mistake.. After I physically went to the front desk to check out atleast an hour early, the same front staff forgot to actually click the check out in their system or something, because they then sent me a text saying I "missed check out." Overall, convenient location and very pet friendly. But I would not come back until their staff figures out what they're doing, and they refund what they over charged me.

The heated pool felt amazing, the beach was beautiful, and the Sky Bar had serving staff to bring food and drinks to your location on the beach. Only 15 minutes from Downtown St Pete. We will definitely come back and stay again!

When in St Pete, SkyBeach Resort is the place To stay. This was our 2nd annual guys weekend for us. We’ve been friends for over 50 years and it’s a great place for us to hang out for the weekend. Great staff from the front desk, the bar/restaurant and the house cleaning crew!

It went bad from the start. First, we arrived earlier due to our flight coming in sooner. Marina said she was going to help us out the early check in fee and talk to the manager to get it waived. We explained to her that we had already paid it and she said she would look into it. We went to the beach and relaxed. At noon, our rooms were not ready, despite paying the early check in fees. Once we DID get into our rooms the front desk called to tell me they would not be waiving the early check in fee and we already had a discount by using Expedia (???). We took a nap and were awoken by a band playing, apparently they don’t mention that your room will be next to the stage when they “upgrade” you to the marina rooms. You’re not by the bridge AT ALL despite what the photos show. The smell was so bad when you walked out that we could barely breathe. The bathrooms were disgusting and the shower had things I’ve never seen before growing in them. The food was overpriced, the front desk (mainly Marina) wasn’t helpful at all, but the wait staff were amazing. The beach is incredibly small (again, angles are everything with pictures).The rooms are also like motels, not inside like a hotel so there were random people wandering around despite the “security” at the entrance.

We had stayed in this hotel before; before it was SkyBeach . Good hotel. Close to area of interest. A lot of parking spaces. The only thing is that music from the restaurant/bar is way too loud. The room also had a slight smell. But other than that they renovated the building and made it really nice.

I stayed at SkyBeach Hotel and Marina while going to the Baltimore Orioles Spring Training games. The hotel was perfectly located about 20 minutes from the stadium. It was an easy drive into Sarasota each day, and back to the hotel after the games. There was plenty of parking. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom didn’t appear to be renovated like the rest of the room. However, it was still clean and functional. The AC worked well and had no issues cooling the room, the days I stayed here had high temperatures of 85 degrees. The pools, skybar, and beach area was great, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone on a trip for spring break. It has 2 pools with large decks with plenty of chairs. The beach area was relaxing and the water was calm. There are pickleball and beach volleyball courts on the property as well. The first floor of the hotel appeared to be under renovation from the hurricane in the fall, the lobby was as well. I’m sure the finished product will be great. To conclude I think the best description would be a hotel that provides a sense of luxury at a reasonable cost. I would stay here again for the current price.

This place was very nice overall. We didn't realize they were still doing significant renovations so some things were not available. If you stay here, you'll need a car to go anywhere. There is nothing in walking distance. The best part was the staff. One particular security lady was absolutely wonderful and everyone else was friendly and helpful. They all really made something they could have just been ok into something much better.

First thing you need to be aware of is that this property is next to a marina so you are getting marina water. No big waves . It had rained for several days and the odor was horrible. The beach itself appears to be one they have made and is nice. You will be charged an amenity fee when you get there that covers chairs, towels, paddle boards, etc. grounds are beautiful. NO elevator.. been out since hurricane. This seems to be an old Florida style motel with only 2 floors so … They have remodeled the rooms and rooms are nice if you don’t have huge cockroaches like we did. When we brought it to their attention the answer was we spray. The sky bar next to pool is really nice and drinks are reasonable and staff great. You can order bar type food and it is decent. The grounds and amenities are great. Rooms themselves are overpriced. If lowered the nightly rate I would stay here again(bring something to kill the cockroach’s) Housekeeping was wonderful. Clean towels every day. Yes it has a beach but not in the gulf. Stinky water.

Being under construction at the time, the outside didn't at first glance mirror the beautiful rooms & views. Starting with the newly renovated, stunning decor, fresh smelling office which offered flavored water & fresh baked cookies. The staff all around were friendly & very helpful. Beautiful, well kept property with convenient boutique coffee shop & full restaurant on site. Both with great quality food & drinks at average costs, which was refreshing for a resort type setting. The beach is small but kept clean & has lots of seating. Pools were immaculate. Live music the weekend was enjoyable from the beach & restaurant. I'd definitively go back!!

A lot of things weren’t available or not working due to recent hurricanes.! I enjoyed everything about my stay even the live Reggae band that night. The bar was great and very convenient. The food from the food truck was on point and readily available. The beach and cabanas were perfect for the guest (didn’t have to rent anything)

The outside is the best part of the hotel ! If you’re plan is to do outside things there- it’s worth it. The rooms themselves, are just ok. You have half the room that has entered 2026, and the bathroom that is still in 1986. It’s kind of gross. Overall, the hotel is fine, and the location is good.

Highly recommend. Beautiful property. Lots of things to do (pool, beach, games, beach bar). Staff attentive. It is a classic older authentic Florida property. No cookie cutter Holiday Inn, SkyBeach is a beautiful classic, the real deal.
