Really nice hotel! The workout club that was included was top tier! Nice pool and sauna area.

The property is okay, the gym is probably the best part of this hotel. You have to pay $25 for self parking, even though the website advertised valet parking, there is no such thing. Parking is inconvenient, you share parking with the gym so it’s busy, you have to go into the garage and get a ticket and have it validated every time you leave there. Customer service is sub par. Instructions upon check in were unclear. The front desk phone was always busy. And overall not very friendly. I won’t stay here again, there are plenty of better options in Walnut Creek. This location seems to prioritize the Bay Club Gym, the hotel is comparable to a Best Western.

I do not like paying $25 to park to stay at the Renaissance Hotel in Walnut Creek,ca

When I purchased the room, I paid $17 for Valet Parking! There was NO valet parking offered! You had to self park and walk a ways to the room.

The fitness club makes this place a gem. Sauna, steam, pool, ample equipment and fitness classes. We will definitely be back!

Renaissance is a fantastic hotel. The staff, facilities (pool and gym) were all excellent. The surrounding area is fairly limited but you do have everything you need on site and the BART station is a 5 min walk away. It was a shame to leave!

Lucas at the front desk was professional, helpful and pleasant. We LOVED the outside pool bar and menu options. Our room was nice and clean. Loved the Kevin Michell products in the bathroom. Definitely will be back !

It had a spa area & workout area. Numerous swimming pools. Self-parking charge of $25 was ridiculous. I understand in a downtown area where parking is a premium. This area was in the suburbs; not necessary at all. Check was at 3pm. Our room wasn't ready & we weren't notified when it was ready. I had to go back to the front desk to finally find out it was ready... ☹️

The hotel is centrally located and has plenty of amenities such as use of the bay club for swimming and fitness center. Hotel is not in good condition. Everything needs painting and floors need to be cleaned and updated. Outside is beautiful, but rooms need attention for the money you pay to stay

Excellent clean and comfortable

The cleanliness in my room was obvious. Everything was immaculate! Check in went smoothly. I've stayed here 3x now. It's comfortable and enjoyable. My only complaint: electronic lights inside and curtain leakage (bright lights outside windows all night) made it difficult to sleep. I think hotel should provide eye shades and consider improving main curtain area (a lot of light leaks in from top area above rod.)

Old blood stains in two places on my bedsheets. Unacceptable.

Checkin made us wait until exactly 3 pm. Shower curtain dirty. Charge for wifi unless you are a member. We are members but found this ridiculous. No coffee available in lobby. Just health club in the morning which is mostly local people working out. But no real free coffee station for guests of the hotel. Good security in hotel but not in parking area.

Toilet was broken, blood on the shower curtain, tub water did not drain. Trash found on the side of the bed and a stained chair..need I say more?

The hotel seemed like it needs a refresh. Stained carpet in the rooms, peeling wallpaper, etc. The staff were excellent but there was never enough servers or bartenders so they were overloaded and the food, while very good, took a very long time to come out.

Room was very dirty, drapes and carpet stained. Reached out and have yet to hear anything a week later.

Beds were awful. I expected a lot more from a hotel of this caliber. Toppers were lumpy and fall off the edge of the bed. The lamp on the desk electrocuted me. And the furniture was falling apart. There was hardly any parking because the gym members were all over the place. Everything cost money. The pool was always overcrowded due to gym classes. Gym members take priority over hotel guests.

Staff was friendly and check in was fast. Lobby area was modern and looked nice. The first room we got had a problem with the AC unit. It was making a loud rattling sound. The staff was quick to give us a new room. The room itself seemed outdated. The carpet was old, the shower was a bathtub shower, and there were only charging ports for mobile devices on one of the two nightstands.

I always love staying here but unfortunately this last time the TV volume box was broken so maintenance took over 45 minutes to switch out a new TV. And to add my dinner was a really bad cut of lamb, had to return it. Was supposed to get a discount but never did. But, always all staff is soo nice.

The mattress topper had feather quills that were poking us throughout the night. We must have pulled out 7 feathers out to make it comfortable though it seemed whenever I rolled over more would come to the surface. It felt uncomfortable to sleep on. If there's option to go feather free, I would do so.

Terrific staff, spa and gym facilities. No WiFi during my visit, though.

Great hotel, weight room, pool, food.. all great. BUT, the beds were so bad I may not stay here again. I loved this hotel, but that is how bad the double bed is.

Nice, clean hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Not every room has a view, mine looked out into neighboring buildings wall.

There was no atm on the property; there was a constant stream of folks working out, parking was challenging, and the Citrus restaurant was understaffed. Although the food quality was good, our orders took 45 minutes to arrive at the table. I asked for a 4:00 am wake-up call, but it never came. I exited the parking structure to grab a coffee( nothing open in the Hotel), and my room key wasn't recognized I Had to pay 25 dollars after sitting ten minutes at the gate waiting for Assistance. All in all a lot of small things that add up to why pay $70-$100 more to stay here just stay at Embassy Suites next time in Walnut Creek

Check in at 3:00 pm. Staff not aware of room availability at 2;45 pm.???? Told to go away and comeback at 3pm.???Seriously?? For 20 minutes you didn't know what rooms were available? $25 parking fee for overnight? Should have been informed of this before booking.

The front desk gentleman who was working there Monday morning around 5am he was very rude. It sounded like he hates his job. He was mad that i asked him for microwave at 5am lol

The hotel itself is great. I had 3-4 instances where I called the front desk to have my room cleaned and there was a disconnect between them and housekeeping...and I'm pretty sure the front desk was relaying the message. Then nothing, no cleaning, bed still unmade, with a few clean towels left on an unmade bed. I had to set my own used glasses outside the door and at least they were picked up at that point. One night this week I invited 2 people in for an informal business diner in the restaurant. It was the perfect place, however you had bingo night with the announcer on microphone yelling the numbers and this went on for awhile....IN A RESTAURANT IN A BUSINESS HOTEL! We finally had to move our dinner meeting to a restaurant across the street. One thing that I did appreciate was that I like to sleep with a fan on and there where no fans. Then I was told that the manager had his own office fan brought to me. That was a pleasant surprise and problem solved.

When we showed up for our 3pm check-in time, they told us they had given out all of the King rooms and that no rooms were available and it would be 15-20 minutes and we would get a text. After waiting an hour I went back to the desk and then was told that a room was ready. Other than that, the stay was great. Comfy bed. The restaurant had delicious breakfast.

Our stay itself was fine. Bed a bit too soft for us. The breakfast quality was good. Only issue was at check-in regarding no explanation of parking. The front desk rep just pointed where the garage was, but didn't explain the $25 nightly cost or that we needed to validate our ticket at the front desk. As a result, I paid by credit card at the machine the first morning so was double charged ($25+$25) the first day

Great location for a family event we were attending in the area. The only hitch was that we couldn’t get service at the hotel bar. Would definitely stay again! Clean, quiet, very friendly and pleasant staff, a quick drive to downtown Walnut Creek, and just 20 minutes from Oakland (we went to see a concert there). A very nice, affordable, weekend get away. Room is exactly as as shown. The attached Bay Club gives it a good local vibe and is an added plus if you want to work out or get some spa services. Bed was super comfy, plenty of outlets for charging devices, room was spacious, surrounding area felt safe and “neighborhoody” but still close to things to do. My only suggestion would be to have coffee and robes stocked for two people instead of one (if two guests are registered) so maybe just check this on arrival and have these brought up. Overall, can’t wait to return next year to enjoy all the beauty Walnut Creek has to offer and will definitely stay at Renaissance again!!

The co-location with a healthier restaurant and Gym worked well. The hotel is easy to access from the freeway or BART, and the area is filled with many fine restaurants.

Very convienient when visiting family who live in Concord. Nicely appointed hotel with very comfortable beds.

Best hotel in the area. If you’re visiting San Francisco. It’s worth to stay here and drive the 20 minutes to DTSF.

Requested and paid for king bed with city view & was given a room with 2 double beds & a view of a cement wall & hotel was not able to provide a king size bed & moved us to a room that had 2 queens after much discussion. Not very accommodating. Bar & Restaurant was very limited & disappointing

Large comfortable rooms. An actual health club for fitness options. Friendly staff. The downside was evening food options. They have a nice restaurant, but the cafe with more casual food options closes early, and there isn’t a lot of options directly around the property.

We were greeted at the front desk by a very knowledgeable and friendly man. Our room was ready. Proceeded to go to the elevator and noticed one was “out of order”… Not a big deal until 4 or 5 people and someone in a wheelchair need to get to their room too. (Out of order all weekend) We appreciate the fact that it wasn’t far to the concert venue from the hotel. In the morning we went down to have our breakfast that was included in the price we paid. My husband and I are not picky eaters, but I have to say that breakfast was horrible. The cook to order eggs were cold, the bacon and the potatoes were also cold, and the chicken apple sasuage did not look appetizing. We actually left our plates and went across the street to Starbucks. The next morning we didn’t even go to breakfast even though we paid for two mornings. Very disappointing. The pool was nice except there was no place to casually swim to cool off because the pool was filled with lanes for lap swimming. We enjoyed sunbathing in the lounge chairs and listening to the music. When we returned to our room there was a note on our door to let us know that there would be fire alarm testing starting at 8:00am the next morning. ( If I would have known before hand, I would have stayed elsewhere.) The loudspeaker rang out around 8:30a.m throughout the hotel announcing that they’d be conducting tests.The strobe lights and alarms were also going off. it was almost comical We checked out early that morning for obvious reasons.

We went for Mother’s Day weekend. We enjoy going to the Renaissance Hotel. My disappointment was, when making reservations we were not told about the brunch (we purchased breakfast with stay) and one of the pools being closed. They did provide a small breakfast. Luckily we found a table to sit at. Many were not so lucky. While at the pool we were not able to order lunch from the restaurant. Some people ordered door dash and were reprimanded. My concern was we had little ones and needed to eat . I will still return, however I felt I wanted to bring this to someone’s attention. Thank you
