This hotel has seen better days. There are stains on the carpets and ceilings. There was hair in and around the shower indicating that they do not do a very thorough job of cleaning. The ac unit made a loud whiny sound and clicked off and on all night despite using the setting on constant fan. The pool had only one towel and no hot tub. There are many better choices for the price they are charging. This one has been added to my avoid list for sure.

At the check in I was initially a bit worried by a slight odor in the lobby, but that concern went away as soon as I saw the room. It was perfectly clean and very comfortable. Parking was also easy, which was a nice bonus. I didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t give my opinion in this regard. I definitely recommend this place based on the room’s cleanliness and comfort."

I was really happy with this hotel room. The room's size, cleanliness, and the staff were all very nice. However, on the last day of our stay, we arrived quite late in the morning, around 1 AM, and there was no parking available. The parking lot was filled with trailers, and we couldn't find a spot. Since I was with my mother, who is a senior citizen, I couldn't walk far with her in the cold. I went inside to speak with the front desk staff, but he only offered me the option to park far away. I felt very disappointed about that

Beautiful Hotel. Friendly staff. Great room layout with desk, actual closet with HANGERS! Breakfast was great, staff did an excellent job. State of the art fitness center. Will stay here again.

it took us forever to check in. Even with my confirmation number, they couldn’t find our reservation. Until they finally did. The room was really nice and perfect amount of space for us. But every toilet flush or shower run, it would wake us up. It was really loud.

Had a good stay but if you use the bathtub for a shower you should put down a hand towel. The bottom of the tub is quite slippery and the towel will give you a safe feeling.

The staff was rude and did not felt welcome. The front desk was asking to pay again as she could see the payment made through hotel.com. She was doubting when I told her that it already paid. I paid again but then after 30 minutes she said oh yea you have paid but the morning person messed it up which she do all the times. The breakfast was not terrible- no vegetarian options and the staff was rude. I was putting the trash and she said there is no room, take the trash with you and leave up in your room. I will not recommend anyone as there are much better options for the price in West Des Moines

We are currently driving across the country for a military move and were told upon arrival the hotel was oversold. After 40 minutes of utter incompetence, we booked our own room at a different hotel. Considering the hotel has our contact information and knew they oversold rooms, not at least attempting to resolve this was inexcusable.

Overall the stay was great. The problems we had was our reservation was changed from a two bedroom room to a single bed. A buddy and i came up to hang out and test top golf out. So having one bed wasn’t an option. I called the front desk, they confirmed our room was switched but had no other rooms with 2 beds. So they comped another single bed room for us. Which was great, inconvenient but great none-the-less. Rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very lacking. Not many options and some hot food items were cold. Not to mention the pancake machine was out of order. Overall the property is in a great location, walking distance from anything you could want. Just some rather frustrating aspects to the stay.

We have stayed at HIE properties in other cities and expected more from the breakfast. The egg omelets and turkey sausage were old and dried out. The pancake machine was out of order. Very limited options for gluten or egg allergies.

Room was great. Very comfortable. Breakfast was only ok. Very limited options. I cannot eat eggs and there were no other hot food choices. Oatmeal was make your own and again not healthy. Toaster didn't work. disappointing! Staff was very friendly and helpful.
