Everything about this immaculately kept home was instantly relaxing. The biggest highlight for us on our month-long canine-cation was the huge backyard with long grass and large undercover area. Our best mate loved it. The beds were comfortable and warm, the lounge area was comfortable and TV had that extra cable already available which everyone wants to plug into their laptop! The kitchen was very large and provided ample room to make our breakfasts and cook our meals. The coffee machine was great. We spent a lot of time locally around the Victor Harbor area but a fair bit of our break we ended up in Adelaide itself, and in the Hills, and up to the Barossa as well. We found all of the nearby hamlets like Strathalbyn and Mt Compass to be hidden gems. There to be discovered. All of it is simple driving. And if you’re coming from the eastern states, try the B45 from Tailem Bend to Strathalbyn - including the ferry crossing at Wellington. That was a fun little adventure we added on the way home. To load the car onto a barge was something I didn’t quite think I would be doing on the trip but there you go.
