Holiday Inn Express Corpus Christi - Beachfront by IHG

They staff was very helpful and friendly. I was staying 3 nights. The on site washer and dryer was perfect along with the option at the lobby store. I will definitely recommend and stay again if ever in the area. The beds were great with the best pillows.

Great place to stay. Everything was great including the service.

While visiting Corpus for work, I needed a comfortable and reasonably priced hotel with easy access to main highways and thoroughfares. However, I ALSO wanted to be near the beach! Being from Central Texas, I wasn't about to miss out on the beach even if my purpose for being there was to work. This was a great option for me! I had a beach view from my room, and easy access to the beach for morning walks. The nightly rates were just as reasonable as other reputable hotels that do not have beach views or access, and the continental breakfast was a super convenient perk. My only cautionary comments would be - Aside from beach walks, this is not a walkable area. Although beach-facing, there are no restaurants or bars that I was able to see that one could quickly walk to. That said, there are many spots that you can get to via bike or vehicle within a 3 mile radius. I was there for work, not play, so this wasn't an issue for me. - Breakfast okay on one of the days I stayed, and great on the other. On my first day I got a text notifying guests that breakfast would be served approx 30 min later than expected. It was fine, but some of the cooked items were significantly over-cooked. The second day there were more cooked breakfast options, like small omelettes, and link sausage, and everything was delicious.

Was a good breakfast however one day while staying the biscuits for gravy, cinnamon rolls and some fruit containers were empty. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room had a water view over the construction total remodel of the attached sister hotel. Wasn’t much noise from the construction however they will not be able to keep the windows clean from the construction dust. With the attached sister hotel closed there is no longer a restaurant or bar and is more difficult to get to the beach. Have stayed at this hotel before which has always been great however this time the room needs more attention. Being on the beach is difficult to keep sand out and this time you could feel sand on the floor when barefoot and the tub had sand in the bottom. The plank floor also had some areas separated which can catch your foot. It is a great location on the water near the beach and downtown. Once the attached hotel remodel is completed and open again it will be much better with the additional amenities available again.
