Hashimi Hotel Old City Jerusalem

Like all Old city hotels you have to walk to this one so don't take too much luggage! The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the Holy Sepulchre and maybe 10 minutes from the Temple Mount. It is easy to find from either the Damascus or Jaffa gates. There are great views of the Dome of the Rock from the roof terrace and breakfast was very good value. Our room was smaller than I'd have locked but it had enough power sockets and wifi was good. The only downside for us was the noise - not external noise but the other guests. We stayed 2 nights and both times were woken repeatedly through the night by people shouting and slamming doors. We were always up and gone by 7AM but we were woken between 3 and 5 constantly by inconsiderate guests.

Great location in old city, from room 315, awesome view of Dome of the Rock and Masjid Al Aqsa. The 4th floor rooftop was amazing with incredible views.

The location in the Muslim Quarter of the old city was superb with the added bonus of the iconic view from the roof terrace. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made my stay so pleasant. Halal food, no alcohol, no smoking and only married couples allowed to share rooms makes this the absolute top destination for solo Muslim women travellers.

Right in the middle of old Jerusalem. For that reason, rooms are small. Great view from the top of the hotel.

Hotel staff was extremely kind - they talked us through finding parking outside of the Old City, and were quick to help us during our stay. Plus, you can’t beat the view from the rooftop!

We stad 2 nights and we enjoed this hotel alot the rooms are very clean, people are so nice, breakfast was so good and we enjoyed the top roof area. Over all very nice hotel and wakable to the main tourist points.

The hotel has an excellent location if your plan is to visit Jerusalem and walk it through. It is in the "middle of the action". The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are very small but clean which was the most important thing to us.

Once again I had a comfortable stay. Room was very clean. I have stayed here a number of times and am never disappointed

My room was dingy and dark, one small window with no view. Furniture old, door handle hanging off, door locked but felt insecure. No heating, very cold at night. Sons room slightly better, I asked to be moved and was told to come back each morning to see if there was another room, big groups had moved out and I asked for 4 days and gave up. We stayed out all day as rooms were depressing. Roof terrace was nice with good view. People in reception were friendly. Would not stay again.

Pros: 1. Close to most of major attractions 2. Nice view from roof top 3. Cameras and great security Cons: 1. Outdated rooms. Paint chipping away from walls. Room was cold without any source of a heater. No fridge or lamp by bed. 2. Shower did not hold water and it leaked into bathroom.

To make matters worse, the room had mosquitoes, which kept me awake most of the night. The bathroom was missing several basic amenities—there was no shampoo, no toothpaste or mouthwash, and no coffee machine, which was surprising considering the price. In addition, the Wi-Fi signal didn’t reach my room, which was very inconvenient. I appreciated that the staff member at the front desk was kind enough to check me in quickly so I could attend prayer—this was the one highlight of my stay. However, overall, I don’t believe the money I paid was justified by the service provided. The breakfast offered very limited options, far from what you’d expect from a four- or five-star hotel. Lastly, it was also difficult to re-enter the hotel after Fajr prayer—I had to knock on the main door for nearly five minutes before anyone opened it. That kind of delay is not acceptable, especially for guests who leave early in the morning for prayer or other commitments. I genuinely hope management considers improving the amenities and overall service. With some attention to detail and hospitality, this hotel has potential—but for now, I cannot recommend it.

Staying at Hashemi Hotel was truly one of the highlights of my time in Jerusalem. Located just a few steps from the vibrant Damascus Gate and within walking distance to all major holy sites – the Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and Al-Aqsa Mosque – it offers the perfect base for exploring the Old City. The rooftop terrace is absolutely stunning. Whether you’re enjoying breakfast with a panoramic view or watching the sunset over the golden dome and ancient rooftops, it’s a moment of peace and beauty that stays with you. I appreciated that the staff member at the front desk was kind enough to check me in quickly so I could attend prayer—this was the one highlight of my stay. However, overall, I don’t believe the money I paid was justified by the service provided. The breakfast offered very limited options, far from what you’d expect from a four- or five-star hotel. Lastly, it was also difficult to re-enter the hotel after Fajr prayer—I had to knock on the main door for nearly five minutes before anyone opened it. That kind of delay is not acceptable, especially for guests who leave early in the morning for prayer or other commitments. I genuinely hope management considers improving the amenities and overall service. With some attention to detail and hospitality, this hotel has potential—but for now, I cannot recommend it.

Excelente estadia . Estávamos dentro da Old City de Jerusalém. O café da manhã é bom, por um bom preço já que em Jerusalém tudo é bastante caro. A vista do terraço é linda! Tivemos um pequeno problema com o ar condicionado, que foi solucionado pois mudamos de quarto. A senhora que fica na portaria, Kerry, sempre muito simpática e prestativa, tornou a estadia ainda mais agradável.
