Excellent experience and stay. We stayed at the Rainforest Chalet with the dinner included. it was awesome to see the monkeys right outside your door. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant and staff specifically at the Beach Brasserie were amazing. From the service to the food to the drinks. The private beach was so nice, sand was soft and water was warm. The swim up bar at the pool is a plus. We wish we would have stayed more days.

Location was brilliant in amongst the forest, lovely beach and pool.The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.We had breakfast included,which was phenomenal so much choice in a lovely setting with fans running to keep us cool .The hotel has a lovely vibe and our chalet in the forest was lovely.They even provided a shuttle golf buggy,to and from your room if you wanted it which was very easily accessed.There was a free afternoon tea provided from 3-5 pm every day.

Det var en otrolig vistelse på hotellet vi hade, rent och fint. Stor pool, bra läge! Otroligt god middag som var varrierande, det vi tyckte var extra trevligt var att man kunde få bestämma sin middag själv och de lagade den framför oss. En dag va de tex grillbuffe, pasta, nudelsoppa osv men samtidigt fanns den vanliga buffén. Sen ett stort plus att personalen var så otroligt trevliga, service minded. Vi fick ett gott intryck redan vid incheckningen. Har aldrig varit på ett hotell där all personal verkligen är så trevlig och bra!!!

Amazing resort. The cabin we stayed in was the sea view one which had the most incredible view. Walking through the rainforest everyday was amazing, but do make sure to bring bug spray with you. The pool and beach were amazing and always clean. The lounge chairs at the pool fill up quick, make sure to get down there early. What made this place so incredible is the staff. Every single interaction was amazing, they would always go above and beyond for us, including setting up a honeymoon greetings on the bed for our arrival. 10/10 service. The food was also amazing, all restaurants on the resort had tasty food and made it feel like we never gad to leave the resort to eat. Bugs will come in if you leave your door open, but we made sure to go in quick and generally avoided any tiny friends coming in. But the resort did leave bug repellant in the room which was a nice touch, as well as the umbrellas everywhere including in the room. The wifi wasn’t the best overall, which is my only point of constructive feedback. I would recommend this place 100%, specifically because of the staff and how hospitable they were. The spa was also a 10/10 experience, despite those cheeky monkeys running into the reception area causing havoc.

Lite slitet hotell men riktigt spännande upplevelse att bo i ”eget hus i regnskogen”. Fri minibar. Stort område men man bara ber att bli hämtad med en typ av golfbil, funkade perfekt. Frukost nere på strandrestaurangen var väldigt fint! Thairestaurangen var däremot väldigt dålig, men fin utsikt. Stor härlig egen strand men fanns väldigt få stolar som alla ”bokade” direkt tidigt på morgonen. Kunde funnits fler stolar (dessutom var många trasiga). I jämförelse med resten av Langkawi var detta hotell dock vår bästa bokning. Kanske mer 3.5 stjärnor. Men det är en riktig upplevelse, inte bara ett hotell!

This property was well laid out and most chalets were set back into the jungle which gave it a very natural look. The property was very walkable though there were also little carts that could take you around. The ocean view chalet had a magnificent view and a beautiful balcony with 2 loungers and 2 chairs. The staff couldn’t be more kind or accommodating and anything we wanted they got quickly and with a smile. The food options were good and we loved having our breakfast each morning by the water. They kept the beach clean and the water was perfect for swimming with a sandy bottom. Though there were a few places around the resort that could use little repairs, overall we were very happy with our stay and would return again anytime. If you like a natural environment with modern conveniences and a quiet and relaxing resort with helpful and friendly people this is a great choice. And it’s also within walking distance of the skybridge!

Det er anden gang på 30 år jeg besøger hotellet. Det kan noget særligt med en autentisk beliggenhed. Vi boede i en jungle cabin og havde besøg af aber på terrassen. Villaen er slidt og trænger til en istandsættelse, men der er fint rent. Bruseamaturet var i stykker og håndvasken revnet. Madrassen er mega hård, så vi fik ondt i ryggen- der er vist ikke flere fjedre i.. Til gengæld er alle drikkevarer gratis i køleskabet og det var både morgenmad og aftensmad med i prisen, som er væsenligt billigere end andre stedet i Malaysia ( og Langkawi) . Du kan vælge at spise på den store buffet restaurant eller den mindre a la carte på stranden. Der var afsindigt mange mennesker grundet kinesisk nytår og virkelig meget støj. Det ville være skønt med et område for adults only, da der både er børne og familie pool. Der er til gengæld en skøn strand med lidt mere ro og plads. Alt i alt.. du får noget for pengene, men der er klart plads til forbedringer..

We stayed for 3 nights - to be honest from reading other people’s reviews I had set my expectations a bit low’ish. But the place proved to be really amazing - we stayed at the rainforest chalet which was very spacious, with a nice huge recently refurbished bathroom and a large bed. The environment is something extraordinary - the rainforest huts are cosily inside the rainforest and on a walk down to breakfast you spot dozens of dusky leaf monkeys and lizards!! In fact when we arrived there were like 5 monkeys sitting on trees in front of our hut like an arrival party. The staff is very friendly and helpful (the aircon in our original room was leaking when we stepped in and the manager would not let us out of sight until he reorganised a new room within minutes, sending us a bowl of fruit as an apology). Overall a great place to stay really - very reasonably priced compared to other luxury or non luxury places we stayed at during our 2 weeks and I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. I generally consider myself a very active traveller but we were happy staying those 3 days wholly at the hotel premises taking it all in (the area is huge, and it helps also that there’s a very decent gym).

The hotel being based in the tropical environment whilst also being on the beach was incredible, and the wildlife was a real experience to be around. The staff were super friendly and helpful and drop you off around the resort on the shuttle buggy’s which is helpful where it is quite hilly! The rooms and general hotel are tired so wouldn’t say this standard would be a 5 star and does need a wide scale refurbishment. Walking distance to sky cable which is a must do experience there and the breakfast was incredible!

I enjoyed staying at this hotel however it is not operating at a five star standard. The WiFi is exceptionally poor, parts of the public areas look tired and need refurbishment, the standard of food in the restaurants is generally not good (certainly not the standard I would expect of a five star hotel) and the rooms are not five star standard (the beds are very hard and the pillows very uncomfortable). The staff were friendly and helpful, however they would not allow us a late checkout even though we were not flying until the evening. I understand the room may be required back for cleaning, however, in my experience, a good hotel will provide facilities / another room to guests to change and shower in when checking out late.

A beautiful beachfront hotel set in the rainforest which is very close to the Oriental Village. I had a few issues with my room, which were dealt with swiftly and professionally by management. My room was upgraded to a waterfront view which had a huge room with a spacious bathroom and a stunning view. I cannot fault the service provided, the manager was extremely kind and had our room decorated as an anniversary surprise. The breakfast was excellent with a vast range of foods and various fruit juices to choose from. I would highly recommend staying here for a unique experience.

What I like most is the friendliness of the staffs. I would have given 10 stars if there is an option. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. I book the sea view chalet at the resort. Heavy rain on my first night stay and my room had water leakage issue. Called guest service and they upgrade us to premier chalet on water for free. The only feedback I can give is trams service can be better. Sometime need to wait 10-15mins for trams to reach my chalet. Overall my family have wonderful time there.

Berjaya was perfect for just lying by the pool and relaxing. The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The hotel offered excellent accommodation at excellent value My only negative was the food options. Breakfast was good. The Beach Brasserie and the Thai restaurant were nice but when in Malaysia I would like to eat good Malaysian food. The cafe option was disappointing

The room is excellent and staff too. Breakfast “seems” to have a lot of varieties . However , noodle for example there is only one type ( today was Fish Sizhuan which I don’t like fish ). Also the egg yolk tastes different . I wish they had watermelon juice . Also would have been better if they had more varieties of fresh fruits such as papaya and mango . I wonder why they don’t have more varieties of cooked vegetables . The shuttle service drivers throughout the hotel is very rough and felt dangerous . Almost fell off from the seat …. Not comfortable ride after meal . Shuttle bus for cable car , they didn’t go accordingly to the schedule . We came early but they left after 10 min because it was only 2 of us . Room service food quality is excellent though . Tomorrow we will try the Thai cuisine for dinner .

Nice property overall but I wouldn’t call this 5 star as advertised. Breakfast had a great selection and the freshly made roti was delicious. The rest of the meals I had at the other restaurants were fairly average, as was the room service. Our complimentary mini bar was not restocked and we had to call and ask them. We also had issues with the TV. Not a great selection of channels. I would expect a little more from a 5 star property.

Generally a great property and wonderful beach.For the beach towels one has to walk up to the pool area to get and return towels which can be a small hike in the hot sun. Great Thai restaurant and service. Dayana and Brassarie were great restaurants. However it always took time for the wait staff to get your order. You had to wave them down for additional service and to obtain your bill after you were done. None of these issues would deter me from returning.

Breakfast was not a 5 star level . Pretty below average quality . Looks as if they have varieties of food but if you look at each section , it’s not much variety . The coffee machine is always broken down . On the other hand the room service menu and the Thai restaurant food quality was good . All of the staff are kind and well trained . Mr Uvarajah thank you very much for upgrading our room first 2 nights . Hope to stay here again .

Staff very friendly accommodation was very nice, mini bar topped every day no complaints. Few gripes not enough sunbeds, and breakfast felt like a cattle market. I just come back from e&o hotel penang it was run to a very high 5 star hotel.

Berjaya was perfect for just lying by the pool and relaxing. The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The hotel offered excellent accommodation at excellent value My only negative was the food options. Breakfast was good. The Beach Brasserie and the Thai restaurant were nice but when in Malaysia I would like to eat good Malaysian food. The cafe option was disappointing

I decided to extend my trip in Langkawi because i saw a video of dusky leaf monkeys and really really wanted to see them. So i booked this hotel for 2 nights. The property is a bit outdated. But i loved it! I think it adds a lot of charm and history to it. The quirking floor in the room. Would not want to have it any other way. The staff is very friendly and nice. But that’s really how it is on the island overall. I also got a massage at their spa which was lovely. They had a pool, sauna and steaming room and the price for the traveler form the US was unbeatable! And that’s the place where i saw the monkeys!!! So that was the highlight of my trip. One thing i would definitely recommend to improve is dining. Breakfast since it is included in the price is decent. You get options of different cuisines and even a picky eater like me found food to eat. In room dining was not bad but the Thai restaurant was not good. While the setting is beautiful on the water with a singer singing next to the table, the food was below average. Especially since i have eaten at regular local restaurants before that food for 10-15 ringgit was way better than here. Other than that i definitely recommend staying here! Especially if you like nature and quiet environment.

So worth the trip! The highlight of the trip is the stay at berjaya resort. It’s clean quiet great breakfast buffet. My favorite restaurants are the Thai restaurant which requires reservations and bb. Enjoy sunet or just sit there listen to waves. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay here the resort was just so relaxing from the lovely pool area to the private beach - we spent a lot of time just chilling at the beach bar the food at the restaurant by the beach was amazing the staff at this resort go above and beyond big shout out to Ganga who served us at the beach bar - our room had a lovely view of the ocean room was lovely and very spacious - the wildlife you see when walking in the resort is so beautiful the resort is isolated is only the cable car with Oriental village is near so you need transport if you want to explore we hired a scooter but as not much traffic on the island we could have hired a car - you can book trips from the hotel these are also very good - several other restaurants in the resort the Thai restaurant is good - The New Years Eve Gala Dinner was spectacular we watched all the preparations for this evening and it was incredible - we would def come back to this resort when visiting Langkawi only thing I would say is the breakfast at the beach restaurant some of the hot food was cold could do with better hot plates to keep items warm but this didn’t stop us from eating here it’s only an observation - thank you Berjaya resort we will be back 😊😊😊
