Fantastic views from our room, overlooking the lake, which was spacious and clean. Staff very helpful with all requests. Had a great gym and spa, with plenty of lovely eating places within Lugano (10 mins away) and just a mile down the road in Morcote. Would definitely return!

Wir bekamen ein Deluxezimmer mit lake view im 1.Stock mit Blick auf den Parkplatz, als ob die Autos vor dem Fenster parken würden! Keine Chance zu tauschen! Das Spa völlig abgewohnt mit vielen abgeschlagenen Kacheln, keine freien Liegen - es gibt ca 15 für ca 100 Gäste ! Auch das Frühstück verbringt man neben den Autos! Und das bei den Preisen!!!

Het verblijf was prima, 1 minpunt er was niet voldoende ligbedden om te genieten van de zon. Aan de accommodatie op het gras waren er onbezette plaatsen.Deze waren de ganse dag vrij maar we mochten deze niet bezetten.Er was geen mogelijkheid tot reserveren en de tweede dag ook niet. Op deze 5 lege bedden lagen alleen handdoeken en magazines. Dit was een spijtig zaak aangezien er dan toch privileges waren. mvg Sonja

This was truly a dream! I will definitely come back to Lugano and stay here. It was raining the entire time but it made the stay more romantic. Gabrielle and the entire staff at Swiss Diamond were/are extremely welcoming and accommodating. The spa was beautiful as well! Very relaxing! Thank you thank you Thank you

Hotel is in a bad location, not near anything. Facilities are old and dated. Pictures fail to sure a highway between top and bottom portion of hotel making any balcony views unattractive. Literally a parking lot is your view so not worth it. There was a wedding while we were there so we couldn’t use the pool. The service was standoffish and unpleasant staff.

Had a barking dog in the roim below us. Not good. Staff was helpful in getting owners to mostly stop it. Wont stay where dogs are allowed again.

Lovely find between Morcote and Lugano. Shuttle bus collected us from Lugano train station for an our 2 night stay. We had a very large room overlooking the lake. Everything was clean and well looked after. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk to Morcote or a bus/shuttle ride away from Lugano. The spa and restaurant were also of high quality.

Das Swiss Diamond Hotel ist echt ein wunderschönes Erlebnis. Das Hotel lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Mit einer Tollen Poolanlage die sogar im tiefsten Winter geöffnet ist. (Wasser zwar eiskalt, aber evtl. was für verrückte Sauna gänger 😅) dann gibt es einen Innenpool und ein grossartiger Spa bereich. Der Service ist echt grossartig. uns wurde bei jedem problem und all unseren wünschen weitergeholfen. Bei der Frage e ob es evtl. eine ladestation für unser fahrzeug gibt, haben sie direkt unseren Autoschlüssel entgegengenommen und unser Auto direkt zur Ladestation gefahren. Das ist Service! Auch der Zimmerservice war fantastisch. Als wir bemerkten das bereits alle Restaurants in Morcote geschlossen waren, haben wir den Zimmerservice angerufen und sie haben unsere Suite umgehend im ein kleines Restaurant verwandelt. Das ganze hat natürlich seinen preis, aber eben dafür kriegt man einiges geboten. Man merkt das das Hotel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist und trotzdem sieht alles super gepglegt aus. Vieles ist Rennoviert oder einfach in einem sehr gepflegten zustand. Übrigens empfehlen wir eine Suite mit Seeblick zu buchen. Wir werden das Swiss Diamond Hotel ganz bestimmt wieder besuchen. :)

Very disappointing stay. This hotel is so, so far from the 5 stars. Its an old, tired and in desperate need of refurbishing hotel. The service at the front desk is poor. Not rude, but just not friendly, not accommodating and uncaring. You will just get the cold polite indifference. The official hotel check-in is at 3PM and they will not give you the room a minute earlier. Must be the Swiss precision. Certainly not all rooms finish cleaning at the same time as the clock strikes 3 PM. Clean rooms become available as the people check out thru-out the morning and then get cleaned-up. BUT, no matter what, you will have to wait until 3 PM for your room. Even if you get there as the first guest at 10AM. The rules are the rules! They don't care! On the good side, the people at the 6th floor breakfast were very nice, helpful, service with a smile. Our room was large, but the furniture was old and quite beat-up. Curtains are dirty. We paid for the lake front view and our room on the 3rd floor was facing the lake. It was nice, but all lake facing rooms are also facing the main road, where the cars drive with hi speed all day and night and that creates noise in the room. Must say the shower in our room great strong water flow. Free Parking in the front of the hotel is nice, but in some cases they need to take the car keys from you. For us that turned into a very stressful situation,because they could't find our key for 20 mins, which cased us a lot of stress trying not to miss our flight

The location of this hotel is BEAUTIFUL, the views of the lake are stunning. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself can definitely use a few upgrades For 1 the Air conditioner is pretty terrible. It’s pretty much a fan, the room gets pretty warm during the day. At night it’s not terrible but the AC can use an upgrade for sure. Also the furniture and carpets/rugs need to be changed or cleaned thoroughly. Plenty of stains on the carpet and couches. If you plan on being out majority of the day then i would say it’s fine but if you care about appearance and you plan on spending a lot of time in the room then maybe look at other options. Overall I had a good experience The breakfast is pretty good as well. If you’re traveling from over seas I’d recommend renting a car

Swiss Diamond Hotel located in Vico Morcote, provided exceptional services during my stay . I would give a rating of six stars because the staff goes above and beyond to ensure the satisfaction of their guests. The level of professionalism and kindness from all staff members goes beyond the average service seen at many top rated hotels. The staff genuinely cares for the guests and are not fixated on money. I was personally attended to by the hotel manager Adnan, who provided room service at no charge, after an episode of regurgitation the night before, which left me weak the following morning. Sabrina at the front desk and Armondo in food services, are two of the most amazing people I have ever met. In a world where good customer service has increasingly decreased, it is important to recognize, give credit and sustain good workers. Sabrina is very kind, patient and caring. Sabrina assisted in planning my excursions and went the extra Mile to ensure my safety and comfort while traveling. Armondo in food services always greets you with a warm smile and provides exceptional service on every level. Even though all staff members are kind and caring, the hotel would not be the same without Sabrina and Armondo. Service is prompt and the hotel is beautiful and very clean. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again!!

Wir haben einen wunderschönen Urlaub gehabt, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Hotel ist wirklich sauber! Die Zimmer sind sehr gros und super ausgestattet. Unser Frühstück war wirklich fantastisch, wir haben viel Auswahl gehabt und es hat alles sehr lecker geschmeckt. Das hotel besuchen wir bestimmt noch einmal wieder vielen Dank

Als wir bemerkten das bereits alle Restaurants in Morcote geschlossen waren, haben wir den Zimmerservice angerufen und sie haben unsere Suite umgehend im ein kleines Restaurant verwandelt. Das ganze hat natürlich seinen preis, aber eben dafür kriegt man einiges geboten. Man merkt das das Hotel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist und trotzdem sieht alles super gepglegt aus. Vieles ist Rennoviert oder einfach in einem sehr gepflegten zustand. Übrigens empfehlen wir eine Suite mit Seeblick zu buchen. Wir werden das Swiss Diamond Hotel ganz bestimmt wieder besuchen. :)
Das Swiss Diamond Hotel ist echt ein wunderschönes Erlebnis. Das Hotel lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Mit einer Tollen Poolanlage die sogar im tiefsten Winter geöffnet ist. (Wasser zwar eiskalt, aber evtl. was für verrückte Sauna gänger 😅) dann gibt es einen Innenpool und ein grossartiger Spa bereich. Der Service ist echt grossartig. uns wurde bei jedem problem und all unseren wünschen weitergeholfen. Bei der Frage e ob es evtl. eine ladestation für unser fahrzeug gibt, haben sie direkt unseren Autoschlüssel entgegengenommen und unser Auto direkt zur Ladestation gefahren. Das ist Service! Auch der Zimmerservice war fantastisch. Fantastic views from our room, overlooking the lake, which was spacious and clean. Staff very helpful with all requests. Had a great gym and spa, with plenty of lovely eating places within Lugano (10 mins away) and just a mile down the road in Morcote. Would definitely return!

Very disappointing stay. This hotel is so, so far from the 5 stars. Its an old, tired and in desperate need of refurbishing hotel. The service at the front desk is poor. Not rude, but just not friendly, not accommodating and uncaring. You will just get the cold polite indifference. The official hotel check-in is at 3PM and they will not give you the room a minute earlier. Must be the Swiss precision. Certainly not all rooms finish cleaning at the same time as the clock strikes 3 PM. Clean rooms become available as the people check out thru-out the morning and then get cleaned-up. BUT, no matter what, you will have to wait until 3 PM for your room. Even if you get there as the first guest at 10AM. The rules are the rules! They don't care! On the good side, the people at the 6th floor breakfast were very nice, helpful, service with a smile. Our room was large, but the furniture was old and quite beat-up. Curtains are dirty. We paid for the lake front view and our room on the 3rd floor was facing the lake. It was nice, but all lake facing rooms are also facing the main road, where the cars drive with hi speed all day and night and that creates noise in the room. Must say the shower in our room great strong water flow. Free Parking in the front of the hotel is nice, but in some cases they need to take the car keys from you. For us that turned into a very stressful situation,because they could't find our key for 20 mins, which cased us a lot of stress trying not to miss our flight

This hotel was very "White Lotus" in the best way. It is luxurious and immaculate. Our room had an amazing view of Lake Lugano that took my breath away. The staff was helpful and attentive; they arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the train station and also to bring us into town for a dinner reservation. We could have spent hours down by the lake and pool but also just watching the view from our balcony. The only downfall was the price of the food (40 chf for a club sandwich seemed a little much, even for swiss prices). We chose to eat at the hotel once and the food was decent. The breakfast buffet on the roof is perfect and delicious. Every detail of the hotel is thought out and it is a lovely property. I do wish that they had more eco friendly toiletries and would have liked a Nespresso machine or similar in the room rather than instant coffee. Overall we would stay here again without a doubt. An amazing property worth the drive from the main city.

The location of this hotel is BEAUTIFUL, the views of the lake are stunning. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself can definitely use a few upgrades For 1 the Air conditioner is pretty terrible. It’s pretty much a fan, the room gets pretty warm during the day. At night it’s not terrible but the AC can use an upgrade for sure. Also the furniture and carpets/rugs need to be changed or cleaned thoroughly. Plenty of stains on the carpet and couches. If you plan on being out majority of the day then i would say it’s fine but if you care about appearance and you plan on spending a lot of time in the room then maybe look at other options. Overall I had a good experience The breakfast is pretty good as well. If you’re traveling from over seas I’d recommend renting a car

We had 2 rooms for one night, upon checkin we requested side by side rooms and were accommodated. Our rooms were not exceptionally hot and we adjusted the temperature before leaving for dinner. Staff is friendly but there is no AC. Spoke to front desk, but they mentioned the entire hotel has no AC because this time of year it is off. So the room was extremely uncomfortable. They brought us a fan, but it was loud and not helpful. We opened the window, only to have cigarette smoke enter our room. Gross. little disappointed considering what I paid. Find an alternative as there appears to be no solution for this problem. They gave us 2 other room options, both of which had no AC.

Everything was clean and well looked after. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk to Morcote or a bus/shuttle ride away from Lugano. This was truly a dream! I will definitely come back to Lugano and stay here. It was raining the entire time but it made the stay more romantic. Swiss Diamond Hotel located in Vico Morcote, provided exceptional services during my stay . I would give a rating of six stars because the staff goes above and beyond to ensure the satisfaction of their guests. The level of professionalism and kindness from all staff members goes beyond the average service seen at many top rated hotels. The staff genuinely cares for the guests and are not fixated on money. I was personally attended to by the hotel manager Adnan, who provided room service at no charge, after an episode of regurgitation the night before, which left me weak the following morning. Sabrina at the front desk and Armondo in food services, are two of the most amazing people I have ever met. In a world where good customer service has increasingly decreased, it is important to recognize, give credit and sustain good workers. Sabrina is very kind, patient and caring. Sabrina assisted in planning my excursions and went the extra Mile to ensure my safety and comfort while traveling. Armondo in food services always greets you with a warm smile and provides exceptional service on every level. Even though all staff members are kind and caring, the hotel would not be the same without Sabrina and Armondo. Service is prompt and the hotel is beautiful and very clean. The 5 star rating system really needs a review and this hotel is a perfect example of why. Bad management, poor communication, terrible resturant service and patchy information given from one guest to another. I could go into every detail but it would take hours. Helt fantastiskt! Servicen var exceptionell med trevlig personal och bra bemötande. Frukosten hade mycket alternativ med allt från frukt, efterrätter och mackor med olika pålägg. Utsikten från rummet samt från frukostsalen var fantastisk. Området ligger ca 15min med bil från stan men hotellet erbjuder transfer mellan hotellet och stan vilket gav möjlighet till lugn miljö samt statsliv.

Hotel is in a bad location, not near anything. Facilities are old and dated. Pictures fail to sure a highway between top and bottom portion of hotel making any balcony views unattractive. Literally a parking lot is your view so not worth it. There was a wedding while we were there so we couldn’t use the pool. The service was standoffish and unpleasant staff.
Hotel is in a bad location, not near anything. Facilities are old and dated. Pictures fail to sure a highway between top and bottom portion of hotel making any balcony views unattractive. Literally a parking lot is your view so not worth it. There was a wedding while we were there so we couldn’t use the pool. The service was standoffish and unpleasant staff.

Lovely find between Morcote and Lugano. Shuttle bus collected us from Lugano train station for an our 2 night stay. We had a very large room overlooking the lake. Everything was clean and well looked after. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk to Morcote or a bus/shuttle ride away from Lugano. The spa and restaurant were also of high quality.

This hotel was very "White Lotus" in the best way. It is luxurious and immaculate. Our room had an amazing view of Lake Lugano that took my breath away. The staff was helpful and attentive; they arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the train station and also to bring us into town for a dinner reservation. We could have spent hours down by the lake and pool but also just watching the view from our balcony. The only downfall was the price of the food (40 chf for a club sandwich seemed a little much, even for swiss prices). We chose to eat at the hotel once and the food was decent. The breakfast buffet on the roof is perfect and delicious. Every detail of the hotel is thought out and it is a lovely property. I do wish that they had more eco friendly toiletries and would have liked a Nespresso machine or similar in the room rather than instant coffee. Overall we would stay here again without a doubt. An amazing property worth the drive from the main city.

Helt fantastiskt! Servicen var exceptionell med trevlig personal och bra bemötande. Frukosten hade mycket alternativ med allt från frukt, efterrätter och mackor med olika pålägg. Utsikten från rummet samt från frukostsalen var fantastisk. Området ligger ca 15min med bil från stan men hotellet erbjuder transfer mellan hotellet och stan vilket gav möjlighet till lugn miljö samt statsliv.

The 5 star rating system really needs a review and this hotel is a perfect example of why. Bad management, poor communication, terrible resturant service and patchy information given from one guest to another. I could go into every detail but it would take hours. This hotel is a 3 star at best and has alot to do to improve.

this was an awful place to stay at. They played loud music from 10 in the morning till 2:30 AM Supposedly for a wedding event and refused to turn it down in spite of us and other guests advising them, none of us could sleep and as a result of a completely sleepless day and night adding exhaustion to our travels, we wound up getting sick and required antibiotics and medical treatment for the next seven days to cure the problem. on top of that they insisted on charging us for the room. Certainly I have stayed in many five star hotels and this is not one of them and none of them, would allow this to go on to the discomfort of all of the other guests and in addition charge for the accommodations. we will protest these charges and I don’t recommend anyone go to this hotel. Finally the lake has become very dirty and it’s questionable it’s any longer considered as swimmable s the water is cloudy with a lot of debris, including what looks like unburned fuel on top of it making that aspect of the waterfront enjoyment impossible. Consequently, almost none of the guests went into the lake for a swim. Finally the food has become mediocre and very very expensive. Much more than many 5 star hotels This hotel at one time was fine but now it should not be considered a five star, but rather a two or three star and certainly not recommended
