This property is in the middle of nowhere. The property is not equipped to handle large groups or person coming from overseas with a flight landing early. Breakfast food was descent. Dinner not so good. Second night bought food from outside. Also there was an error with booking thru Expedia had to pay an extra day and they would not refund back the day that was not being used as I was leaving for a cruise. They stated expedia had to request back the money (which they did) and they denied the refund. shuttle they advertised was unavailable as they only have a small van that can carry only 7 people as big as the hotel is. Most of us had to pay $45 for a taxi from airport. Again this place is fit mainly for locals with their accommodations not fir persons traveling from overseas.

We booked a one night stay here after the ferry crossing from Dubrovnik and had low expectations after reading previous reviews. How wrong they were, yes this is on a busy road but we could barely hear the traffic and being close to the road meant we had an easy drive from the port. The room as super comfortable, very clean and the service great. We ate a lovely meal in the rooftop restaurant and were rewarded with a fabulous sunset, and the breakfast the next morning had one of the best cups of coffee we had during our month long trip round Europe.

Jacuzzi en description alors qu’on nous le propose à 23€/personnes quand on veut le réserver Les murs sont ultra fin Le matin on a l’impression d’avoir les femmes de ménages dans notre chambre tellement qu’elles sont bruyantes Pour avoir fait d’autres 4 étoiles en Italie, cet hôtel n’est vraiment pas à la hauteur. Je déconseille vivement.

Hotel, morgenmaden og personalet fejler ikke noget. Gode parkerings muligheder og elstander til elbiler. Men larmen fra motorvejen, som deler stranden og hotellet var meget høj. Gjort også at man skulle køre til stranden, ellers kan man ikke kom til vandet. Men fin hotel.

The air conditioning was not working at all. The first day too hot 27.0C. We called the maintenance staff to sorting out the air conditioning the system was running all day at 22.0C unable to control the temperature from the control during the night. The air conditioning vent blocked of dust.The breakfast very boring and repetitive the quality of product poor. This hotel is not anymore 4 start.

It was a nice hotel but the WiFi did not hardly work and even the front desk could not get a connection. There was a hot tub in the spa but you have to make reservations to use it ahead of time which is not mentioned in the ad. The breakfast buffet was great and the ocean view is spectacular from the room and rooftop restaurant.

Passei quatro noites no Hotel Barion em novembro. Escolhemos o hotel pela sua localização estratégica: como fica na estrada e oferece estacionamento, foi perfeito para fazer bate-voltas de carro pelas cidades próximas, como Bari, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Locorotondo e Alberobello. Nesse aspecto, o hotel realmente cumpriu sua função. O Barion é um hotel grande, bonito e com vista próxima para o mar. Porém, o conforto do quarto ficou bastante comprometido. Como ocorre em muitos hotéis da Europa no outono, o ar-condicionado é desligado quando as temperaturas externas caem, restando apenas aquecimento. Mesmo com 12, 13°C lá fora, o quarto mantinha cerca de 24°C durante a noite. A janela abria muito pouco, o que impossibilitava ventilar. A situação só foi parcialmente amenizada graças à gentileza de um funcionário, que foi até o nosso quarto, constatou pessoalmente o calor excessivo e, ao perceber o desconforto da nossa filha, teve pena da situação e conseguiu um ventilador para nos ajudar. Apesar do gesto, o ambiente continuou quente e desconfortável. Vale mencionar que, nos pequenos hotéis e B&Bs onde ficamos durante a mesma viagem — em Lecce, Matera, Nápoles e Amalfi — tivemos controle total da climatização e o atendimento foi muito mais acolhedor e personalizado. Se repetisse o roteiro, escolheria me hospedar em Polignano a Mare ou Monopoli, que contam com hospedagens menores e não constatei dificuldade para estacionar o carro em novembro.

Terrible location, next to motorway. No restaurants or shops around. Nearest ones are 30 minute drive away. Rooms very average, with very noisy A/C unit which could not be turned off. The only nice thing about hotel was breakfast.

Nous avions une chambre vue mer, mais la mer se trouve assez loin, et entre la mer et l'hôtel il y a la route nationale. La chambre était petite, encombrée par un immense placard dont seules 2 portes pouvaient s'ouvrir. La salle de bain était vielle et à refaire.

This property is in the middle of nowhere. The property is not equipped to handle large groups or person coming from overseas with a flight landing early. Breakfast food was descent. Dinner not so good. Second night bought food from outside. Also there was an error with booking thru Expedia had to pay an extra day and they would not refund back the day that was not being used as I was leaving for a cruise. They stated expedia had to request back the money (which they did) and they denied the refund. shuttle they advertised was unavailable as they only have a small van that can carry only 7 people as big as the hotel is. Most of us had to pay $45 for a taxi from airport. Again this place is fit mainly for locals with their accommodations not fir persons traveling from overseas.

The view of the sea was wonderful from our room and breakfast options were very good. The restaurant servers were nice. Some of the reception staff (during the day) were not very welcoming or friendly which was a bit disappointing since it is the first and last interaction you have with the hotel.

Da anni soggiorniamo con soddisfazione presso questa struttura che presenta numerosi lati positivi. Comoda posizione lungo la statale per Brindisi qualche chilometro appena fuori Bari, comodo parcheggio recintato, belle camere con climatizzazione facilmente regolabile, ottima colazione sia per qualità che per quantità con personale gentile e disponibile ad esaudire anche qualche piccola richiesta extra. Ma vorrei sapere chi è quel genio che ha ideato e implementato l’astruso automatismo che, stando in camera immobili - quindi quando si dorme -, stacca l’energia elettrica. Quindi, nonostante la presenza degli ospiti in camera, si spegne il televisore, si interrompe la ricarica dello smartphone, si spegne la radiosveglia sul comodino e si riattiva il tutto al minimo movimento, per poi rispegnersi tutto nuovamente non appena si sta immobili. Abbiamo fatto presente il disservizio all’addetto della reception che si è meravigliato della cosa, dicendo che le prese non dovrebbero staccarsi e ci ha inviato – a suo dire – un manutentore che, però, non ha risolto il problema. Tutto questo, ovviamente, peggiora la qualità del sonno, perché obbliga a sistemare l’orario della radiosveglia diverse volte durante la notte. I really loved the customer service. Everyone at this hotel was very helpful, understanding and informative. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was away from restaurants or the city and the beach was still a little far given that we didn’t have a car. It wasn’t at a walking distance. However, the shuttle was available to get to the city.

The hotel is on the side of the highway so it’s good to get access and get somewhere fast. Average hotel nothing crazier different. Good place to stay if your part of a long road trip and continue on the road next day , sort of had a motel vibe where people to to cheat on their spouse , but whatever I didn’t mind I was just staying one night

Terrible location, next to motorway. No restaurants or shops around. Nearest ones are 30 minute drive away. Rooms very average, with very noisy A/C unit which could not be turned off. The only nice thing about hotel was breakfast.

The air conditioning was not working at all. The first day too hot 27.0C. We called the maintenance staff to sorting out the air conditioning the system was running all day at 22.0C unable to control the temperature from the control during the night. The air conditioning vent blocked of dust.The breakfast very boring and repetitive the quality of product poor. This hotel is not anymore 4 start.

It was a nice hotel but the WiFi did not hardly work and even the front desk could not get a connection. There was a hot tub in the spa but you have to make reservations to use it ahead of time which is not mentioned in the ad. The breakfast buffet was great and the ocean view is spectacular from the room and rooftop restaurant.

We booked a one night stay here after the ferry crossing from Dubrovnik and had low expectations after reading previous reviews. How wrong they were, yes this is on a busy road but we could barely hear the traffic and being close to the road meant we had an easy drive from the port. The room as super comfortable, very clean and the service great. We ate a lovely meal in the rooftop restaurant and were rewarded with a fabulous sunset, and the breakfast the next morning had one of the best cups of coffee we had during our month long trip round Europe.

Ett mycket trevligt hotell strax utanför Torre a Mare. Vi valde hotellet som utgångspunkt för vår resa runt i Puglia. De flesta sevärdheter ligger söder om Bari och då passade Barion Hotell perfekt. Trevliga och rymliga rum, något hårda sängar samt bra service. Frukostmatsalen ligger på våning 6 med fin utsikt över havet, och frukosten har det man behöver för en bra start på dagen. Hotellet har även en restaurang för middag som vi provade första kvällen. Annars rekommenderas att åka till Torre a Mare, där flera restauranger ligger i hamnen. Ta vägen bakom hotellet för snabbast komma över till andra sidan. Sammanfattningsvis ett bra hotell med allt man behöver för att ha som bas för resa till Alborebello, Vita staden, Polignano a Mare mm runt Puglia.

Hotel di buona qualità, unica pecca il bidet era inutilizzabile (non usciva acqua). Colazione all'ultimo piano con vista mare (incantevole), unica pecca un po dispersiva, infatti il posizionamento del cibo su varie postazioni circolari intorno a delle colonne mi ha disorientato, costringendomi a fare un giro perlustrativo prima di decidere cosa prendere. Per il resto tutto buono.

I lived at this hotel with my family for 8 nights. I travel a lot and already have plenty of experience with hotels, and, as many people have written, this hotel seems to have stopped developing many years ago. If you are traveling with your family and want to stay there for a few days, it is a disaster. This hotel should not have 4 stars — 2 stars at most. The standard it offers is far below what you would expect. The breakfasts served are a complete disappointment. There are no fresh vegetables, and very often guests had to complain to the staff because there were no cold cuts or bread. For guests who wanted to have tea or coffee from the machine, there were plastic or disposable cups available — in a 4-star hotel??? The collection of dishes and removal of leftover food is done right at the tables. A staff member bangs the plates against a cart and throws the leftover food into a bag next to your table. It is absolutely awful. In a normal hotel, this is done in the back, not in the dining area in front of the guests. And finally, if you haven’t finished eating by 10:00, a young employee locks the doors, turns off the lights, and signals that you have to leave the dining room. This is extremely rude and completely unacceptable. I have never encountered this kind of behavior before, and I travel a lot. The only positives are the parking and the friendly ladies who cleaned the rooms.
