Zoco Riad

Ce riad est très bien situé dans la médina. Les nuits sont très calmes. L'on profite du cri des mouettes sur la terrasse. La chambre du dernière étage est particulièrement agréable. Les salles sont assez petites mais sont bien équipées. Le personnel est particulièrement aimable. Nous recommandons fortement.

Zoco Riad is a vibrantly and freshly decorated riad located smack in the middle of the Medina of Tangier. The tile and plaster work inside (especially along the stairwell) are splendorous and make one feel as if they’re entering a paradisiacal refuge from the bustling alleyways of the Medina. In addition, the room I received was well decorated and suitable for up to 2 people. Bathroom is a bit small but certainly manageable! Loved the furnishings in the room as well (from the decorative headboard to the nightstand and side table). Thirdly, there’s a lovely terrace on the 4th floor. You can take tea there or see the city come alive at sunset from that vantage point. I also would be remiss if I didn’t praise one of the staff members who really made my stay special. Oussama warmly greeted me late Friday night once I navigated my way to the Riad. He shooed away the scammer harassing me and immediately offered 4 delicious deserts and some tea. I savored them, and an Excellent conversation followed. The next day, I woke up too late to take breakfast before catching a tour, but Oussama still ensured I had something to eat before going on my way (dates and orange juice). And when I came back that night, he made me an excellent cup of coffee & we chatted for a long while. Finally, on the last day, he prepareda hearty breakfast (best I had in Morocco) despite it being past noon. His unmatched hospitality combined with the amazing ambiance of the Riad made it a near-perfect stay!

It is in the Medina, so wandering is a must. The call to prayer from various mosques could be heard from the terrace.

We had such a wonderful time at Zoco Riad - they made our stay in Tangier so special. Ghislaine and Oussama were so attentive and kind. We enjoyed the Friday night BBQ on the rooftop and highly recommend Zoco Riad for a stay.

They gave excellent recommendations for food and sight seeing. They were incredibly helpful and accommodated people and languages from all over the world. The accommodations were perfect for my stay and I intended to stay only one night but extended to three. The medina is a prime location in Tangier and the Zoco Riad is super accessible to get in and out of the medina. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and my stay. The terrace has a fantastic view and is a great spot for a drink and evening hang. I highly recommend you book and stay a little longer than you plan. Tangier is gorgeous and near perfect weather, even in August. Thank you to the staff- Rachid, Ghislane, Bilal, and Myriam. It was a delightful welcome to Maghreb.

This Riad truly enhances the stay in Tangier. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The room was bothering beautiful and comfortable with all you could want. Good shower and wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. The roof terrace has fabulous views of the city and the sea. Would love to stay here again

Lovely family run riad. Ishmal was exceptional with his service and care. Highly recommended a stay here. But come hungry as the breakfast is huge. Room was very comfortable and opened onto the stunning roof terrace.

Zoco Riad is a delightful family operated hotel in the heart of the medina. The staff is all very welcoming and truly make you feel like a valued guest in their home. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and served on the rooftop patio which was beautifully decorated with plants and tiles. Our stay coincided with the special holiday of Eid and the family invited us to join in their special holiday dinner on the rooftop patio which --which was delicious and festive! The hotel may be a little tricky to find but ask any local in the medina and they will be happy to help. Also, it was a hot day when we were there but the AC in the room worked beautifully!

The staff at Zoco were extremely friendly and professional. Extensive information and suggestions about the Medina were given, and the breakfast was simply fantastic - both in quantity and quality. The location is central to everything. The rooms aren’t the biggest but a good compromise for a Riad in the Medina, and the rooftop has a wonderful view onto the sea.

Siamo stati accolti benissimo con the marocchino e deliziosi biscotti. Il personale è stato super disponibile e ci ha illustrato le principali attrazioni da visitare. Camera pulita e tranquilla, colazione super!

Riad bien placé dans la Medina dans une ruelle. Personnel agreable et accueillant. Bon petit déjeuner bien copieux. La chambre est Ok en revanche la salle de bain est vraiment petite. On a été invité a un diner offert sur la terrasse le premier soir. Bon séjour de 3 nuitées sur Tanger.

No site indica que tem frigobar, ar condicionado, secador de cabelo, e não tem nada do que esta prometido, alem de que o banho e minusculo e molha tudo em volta.

O Riad está bem localizado no centro da medina, de onde pode partir para visitar a zona antiga de Tanger a pé. Os funcionários são extremamente atenciosos e merecem nota de excelência. Não gostei do facto da casa de banho do quarto não ter porta assim como o chuveiro, o que faz com a água do banho transborde para o chão da casa de banho, que sendo pequena torna tudo bastante desconfortável.

The hosts were amazing, very helpful and friendly. Loved their hospitality. The breakfast was super. The only issue, we booked the standard room which had a very tiny bathroom. It was practically impossible to sit straight on the toilet because there is no space between the toilet and the sink cabinet. My advice, go for a bigger room. Rest all was great.

Está en la pura Medina , demasiado escándalo No tiene aire acondicionado aunque en la publicidad dice que si , no pudimos dormir del escándalo que se escucha afuera aunque rescató el personal amable

The very friendly staff welcomed us to this splendidly appointed riad with smiles, mint tea and traditional sweets. Conveniently located in the heart of the medina. Shopping, restaurants, attractions, train and ferry terminals were all within walking distance. Our room and amenities were excellent. We had an early morning departure that would have had us miss the included breakfast but arrangements were made to have food and drinks available for us at an earlier time.

Best ever ..my son came down with the flu...Ishmael brought breakfast up to him...they ran to the pharmacy to get him meds.. The breakfast is huge ..the interior architecture is beautiful..the staff was terrific... I'm never leaving

My son and I stayed there for two weeks and had an unforgettable experience. The staff was very nice and friendly. Whenever we needed anything, they were there to help us. Lovely location and easy to get to the Kasbah at the top or bottom of the Medina once you get your bearings. Staff were all super friendly and helpful with any questions and suggestions.

One of the best hotels ive ever stayed. A family traditional hotel. The staff were all kind and caring and very thoughtful. The breakfast was made with loads of love and care. If i was ever to come back to tangier ill be back here. I got poorly a few and the staff went above and provide care. Thankyou. Haroon

This was by far the BEST lodging experience both my brother and I had. The staff was outstanding. The service top tier. Uhasama went above and beyond. He took great care of my brother and I. Truly, this Riad is the BEST thing in Taniger. I would highly recommend you stay.

Close to Port where I disembarked. Beautiful hotel and surrounds. Staff were very helpful, and took me down to meet up with Tour Morocco guide. Very thankful for that.. This site did warn steep climb up to hotel, but being 81 with emphasema, it was difficult, but I have no regrets. A lovely place to stay.

Please be aware if arriving by taxi, you will have to walk a short distance to Zoco Riad as taxis aren't allowed in the souk.

I had a fantastic stay at Zoco Riad. I stayed 5 nights as a solo female traveler and felt like home.It is small (7 rooms) and completely charming. There is a beautiful roof top terrace. It is a very safe place in the middle of the medina. All the shopping and restaurants are close by. The breakfast was amazing, all made fresh in front of us. I would return anytime! Thank you Zoco Riad.
