Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre

Vi hadde et svært hyggelig opphold på hotellet. Personalet var imøtekommende, profesjonelle og alltid behjelpelige gjennom hele oppholdet. Hotellet har en sentral beliggenhet midt i sentrum, med butikker, restauranter og øvrige fasiliteter i kort gangavstand. Oppholdet levde opp til forventningene, og hotellet kan varmt anbefales videre

Clean and efficient

The hotel was nice and clean. However, I didn’t like that guests had to pay extra for early check-in before the earliest check-in time at 3 PM. At this price range, if rooms are already available, it would be a much nicer customer experience to offer early check-in free of charge rather than charging an additional fee.

Stayed here recently and overall it was decent value for money, but didn’t quite live up to expectations. Pros: Location: Very convenient for central Manchester — easy access to shops, restaurants and transport. Rooms: Clean, modern and well-presented. Comfortable bed and a decent amount of space for a city hotel. Facilities: Everything you’d expect is there — nothing standout, but functional and well maintained. Staff: Polite and efficient throughout the stay. Cons: Value vs Experience: While it’s reasonable for the price, it feels a bit generic — more functional than memorable. Atmosphere: Lacks a bit of character; feels like a standard chain hotel rather than something with personality. Minor Details: A few small touches were missing that would elevate it (e.g. finishing details in the room, or a more premium feel in communal areas). Overall: It’s a solid, no-frills option if you need somewhere central and reliable, but don’t expect anything particularly special. Good for a straightforward business trip or short stay, but not somewhere you’d choose for a more premium or experience-focused visit.
