I only stayed one night and was really pleased with my overall experience. Plenty of parking, a well appointed room with a good selection of TV channels, good WiFi, decent bed and a large selection of different options for breakfast. Service was a highlight with genuine friendliness from all staff.

Very comfortable room, goud size and good ensuite bathroom. Welcoming staff, with relaxing bar and lounge seating area. Very good breakfast. Plenty of car parking. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel restaurant is no longer open for evening meals, it is only used for breakfast which was unfortunate. There were other options for eating close to the hotel. The staff were very good and helpful.

Overall the hotel was a very comfortable stay, the only points i would make would be getting some beers on draught instead of bottle beer. And update the bathrooms slightly. But for price value for money.

Fantastic hotel, very centrally located within walking distance to the shops and parks. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the suite which is very comfortable and clean. The shower is amazing and there is a tv with Netflix. Also the breakfast is very good with hot and cold food available. We loved the fact that there was a car park included which is brilliant if you are driving. We definitely would recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Carlisle or other surrounding areas.

On arrival I was greeted by a super friendly guy on the reception who welcomed me to the hotel and was really nice. After making myself comfortable in the room I decided to have a shower, which the bathroom was covered in mould, on the grout work and the sealant around the bath. For someone who suffers with asthma I didn’t want to spend much time in the bathroom. The bed was comfy enough and the pillows were better than most hotels I stay at. The cookies looked delicious also but I didn’t eat them as when I entered the room the window was wide open and there was a fly on the plate so I thought it was best not to eat the cookies, but the sentiment is great. I feel like signs should be put on the back of doors saying please do not slam doors on exit as the amount of people leaving early in the morning who were slamming their doors, I counted at least 7 door slams between 6 and 6:30am I would of liked a sleep in but this was cut short by the amount of inconsiderate guests! (Can’t be helped by the hotel) On exit of the hotel there’s a self check out screen which is a little long winded when in a hurry, especially when there’s staff behind the desk in the office having a chat and not helping guests.. all in all it was an okay stay but unfortunately I wouldn’t stay again until there are some improvements.

The room had a damp awful sewerage smell as soon as you walked in through the room. The carpet didnt look as if it had been hoovered and had debris on the floor. There was dirty tissues down the side of one of the beds. The shower barely worked and the television had so much dirty marks on it it was difficult to see.

Bathroom was not clean. Poo in the toilet and pubic hairs in the shower - made me question how clean the rest of the room was and made the stay uncomfortable.

I had a single room which was clean and comfortable with all the necessities. The staff were excellent warm, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb. Overall I was very happy with the hotel, it has a good sized car park in a good location and value for money compared to other hotels I have stayed in on previous visits to Carlisle and I will have no hesitation to stay again on my next visit.

, and have to say this hotel did not disappoint. Staff very friendly and welcoming from check in to breakfast in the morning and check out. They had a fan in the bedroom which came in very handy as it was an extremely warm day/night. Room was very clean and had a lovely touch with complimentary bottles of water and biscuits. Breakfast was everything you would look for in morning. Thank you for a lovely stay again. Will definitely be back next year!!

First impression were great, plenty of parking, very friendly staff. Room clean but slightly tired. That drawback was more than made up for by the amazing food. We the steak pie and the clam chowder. Both were fantastic, very tasty very filling. Breakfast the next day was great as well. Will be back if we're ever in the area.

After a very easy and helpful check in. The reception moved us to a quiet room overlooking the car park and not the main road. Our room was quite spacious and the bed comfortable. Plenty of storage space for clothes. Well appointed small bathroom with f=good shower.

Loved the friendly & helpful staff, our only grip was the room was small and we could hear very clearly the next room. I was disappointed in the room size, we normally stay in a premier room at one of the premier inns in Carlisle for very similar cost.

We had trouble from the very start with our TV. It couldn't get many channels and poor reception. We informed staff who couldn't resolve the issue so we moved to another room with the same issues so we moved yet again. This room was an upgrade and was nice but one of the tvs hd similar issues. Management informed. It did put a dampner on our stay.

Service was good and staff were friendly, the room was clean and tidy but needs attention. The mattress was old and needs replacing, the springs sunk as soon as you got in and there was a big lump in the middle of the bed. The bathroom floor had tears in the lino, screws visible where the subfloor was rotting and the shower leaked reducing the pressure leaving it a bit more than a dribble. Again, if it wasn’t for the staff, there wouldn’t be much of a reason to visit.

I stayed for one quick night at this hotel and I was blown away by the hospitality and helpfulness. I was down in thar area competing in a sports event and the reception staff on the night I arrived and the morning I left could not have been better. There was obvious communication between staff members which often is lost in the big chain hotels these days. Would love to return and sample the restaurant food and actually sit for breakfast.

From checking in on Sunday, to checkout on Monday, virtually all dealings with staff were excellent. The girl behind the bar on Sunday was, sadly out of her depth. The Monday breakfast front staff were absolutely exceptional, especially the young lady who welcomed us for breakfast.

Friendly, helpful service. I called ahead to arrange a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the team had already arranged for complimentary chocolates and arranged the towels. Good breakfast buffet, regularly replenished and quality bacon and sausages.

I was staying in the hotel whilst my dad was in a nearby hospital having experienced a stroke. The staff went above and beyond and were very flexible about extending my stay and letting me work in the function room etc. The local area is also very nice especially the fish and chip shop and Indian restaurant and pub across the road.

Have stayed here before to attend Carlise Racecourse. £ 11 in a taxi to course, so great location. The Crown pub across the road is great, with lovely staff and food. Would definitely stay again.

I would stay here again, the hotel was nice and the rooms very nice and the bed was very comfortable, tea coffee facilities in the room along with iron and ironing board which is a bonus for long stays also hairdryer which is standard There is a good bus service outside the hotel which takes you into town, but it is a nice pleasant 15 to 20 minute walk I would stay here again The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice, above the usual standard of other hotels

Fantastic hotel, very centrally located within walking distance to the shops and parks. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the suite which is very comfortable and clean. The shower is amazing and there is a tv with Netflix. Also the breakfast is very good with hot and cold food available. We loved the fact that there was a car park included which is brilliant if you are driving. We definitely would recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Carlisle or other surrounding areas.

Ideal location with a short 15 minute walk over the river into the city. Extremely clean, I did and out, and plenty of free parking. Staff all friendly with a nice bar area just off reception. We had the family room which was spacious and quiet. Good shower with hairdryer,iron and board in the room. Nice welcome gifts which our daughter loved. Breakfast was buffet English breakfast and was absolutely beautiful. All high quality ingredients from the hit selection to the pastries and condiments. If you are going to Carlisle, which surprised us in its heritage, shopping, pubs and overall feel, this is a great place to stay.

First impression were great, plenty of parking, very friendly staff. Room clean but slightly tired. That drawback was more than made up for by the amazing food. We the steak pie and the clam chowder. Both were fantastic, very tasty very filling. Breakfast the next day was great as well. Will be back if we're ever in the area.

Came here for the “wall race”, hotel had breakfast out early for the runners, that was so thoughtful and appreciated. Also had a great dinner here. A great staff too !

Excellent value for money. The inclusive breakfast was fantastic. Staff were really friendly. The location was great for the town centre and a lovely riverside walk just a few minutes away. Wi-fi worked really well and free parking at the rear of the hotel was much appreciated.

The hotel restaurant is no longer open for evening meals, it is only used for breakfast which was unfortunate. There were other options for eating close to the hotel. The staff were very good and helpful.

On arrival I was very pleased with the spacious car park. Our rooms were excellent We dined in that evening and the food was eccelent. The rooms were well appointed and the bathroom, though small, had everything necessary. First class a round.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and provided excellent customer service. The suit we stayed in was clean and well maintained and the car park was a great plus. We also enjoyed the breakfast throughout our stay. We’ve stayed at this hotel before and always look forward to the crisp and canned water provided free in the rooms. Overall, this was great value for money especially for a three star hotel.

A lovely independent hotel for a stay in Carlisle. We stayed one night and our room was adequate for what we needed with the lovely addition of amenities including the tea and coffee and toiletries. The staff were friendly and the breakfast selection in the morning was great.
