SR Hotel Yeongjong

The smell in the room was horrible. It smelled like sewage and mold. The beds and blankets were so small that you couldn’t share them with two persons comfortably. Also the breakfast was 2/10. At least the stay was cheap and besides the smell and mold the rooms were clean. Staff seemed also sweet.

I booked 2 rooms for one night. There is no front desk, so the check in process was a bit confusing. However, a person came out to help eventually. One room clearly smelled of cigarettes. They tried to mask it with perfume or some other smell, but it was definitely cigarettes. The other room had a really strong sewer smell from the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, but I would not stay here again.

We had two rooms, but one smelled like smoke and had obviously been smoked in. We ended up squeezing everyone in one room. The fold out couch seemed like it had a piece of wood under about half of it, making it unusable as a bed for anyone but a small child. Other than that, the location is great - close to the rail bike and oceanside park. Plenty of convenience stores and great restaurants nearby.

Review of SR Hotel – South Korea Unfortunately, my stay at SR Hotel was a very disappointing experience. This property does not function like a real hotel and falls far below basic hospitality standards. The check-in process was one of the worst aspects of the stay. Staff were unhelpful, unfriendly, and lacked basic hospitality and professionalism. Communication was difficult, and there was little effort to assist guests. The room itself was uncomfortable. The temperature was excessively hot, and the climate controls were not functioning properly. The bathroom was extremely small and inconvenient. There was no daily housekeeping or cleaning service during the stay, which is unacceptable for any hotel accommodation. Additionally, the television had no translation or English-language options, making it unusable for international guests. Overall, the room and amenities were poorly maintained and not guest-friendly. This was a terrible experience from start to finish. I would not recommend SR Hotel to travelers, especially those expecting standard hotel services or international accommodations.
