Overall beautiful property with nice welcoming lobby, bakery and restaurant. Check in/out was a breeze, but our 3 bed room was underwhelming compared to the property. Very small bathroom with no counterspace. Laundry facilities are lacking - always full with people waiting. The dryer took 3 full cycles and our clothes were still damp. Others were complaining about this as well. There are only 2 laundry rooms with 3 machines for the whole property, which isn't nearly enough.

We only stayed one night, so it is difficult to say how the hotel is, but it had a cool vibe. We arrived on Friday night and DJ was playing at the front lobby. Generally the decor was mostly black. The hotel staff were very nice. The bakery attached to the hotel looked really good.

Perfect room to act as a temporary home base. Small, but functional. Staff was very helpful checking in, and for holding our bags on our last day after check out. Plus the cafe with vegan pastries in the lobby was clutch, and delicious!

I didn’t have breakfast at the restaurant, but I did go to the bakery attached and it was wonderful! Room was nice and clean but there was not a lot of desk space and freezer is weak. Good amenities with coin laundry that is easy to use.

Great stay near Shinjuku without the chaos. Lots of tourists. Gets really busy at check in and check out. Cool vibe. Not enough seating in lobby, especially at breakfast time. Nice places to eat inside the hotel. Laundry facilities available, but not enough for the number of people staying at the hotel.

Contactless check-in and check-out. You use a 6-digit pin to enter your room. This means elevators are not secured and anyone can roam the entire hotel. I don't think I saw a single Japanese staff member. This would explain why the cleanliness level did not match those of other hotels I've stayed at in Japan.

The room was small, but very clean and functional. The bakery and restaurant were also good, and convenient to have on location. Staff were very kind and helpful. While the location is slightly farther from the train station, it was nice to be in a quieter part of Shinjuku. Very easy to get around, and across a park from the Metropolitan Government Building with an amazing (and free) observatory with wonderful views of the city.

The wall next to the bed were very dusty. We have rashes from the dust. The lady didn't removed dirty towels. The next door room bangs on the walls a lot that hit our headboard. The bathroom toilet was loud and smell bad every time it was flushed Garbage was not empty until 3rd day. Water were randomly left on the counter. I will not book for this hotel again

The room was spotless, comfy & a decent size. A shame the window was covered in plastic & scaffolding due to maintenance but we were only there for 2 nights so not an issue. Walls are quite thin - could hear the guy next door snoring. But overall a great hotel & would recommend staying here for a couple of nights as part of your Tokyo trip.

We stayed at The Knot Tokyo Shinjuku for two nights after arriving from Osaka, where we stayed at the DoubleTree. Since we were only spending a short time in Tokyo, we booked a smaller room mainly for the location. Upon arrival, the hotel immediately felt more like an upscale hostel than a proper hotel. Check-in was partly done at a kiosk, and the front desk staff member didn’t come across as genuinely friendly. We received several papers with our room PIN, hotel rules, and a notice about construction between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. When we reached the room and opened the curtains, we found construction scaffolding directly outside our window. When I asked to change rooms, I was told it wasn’t possible. Only after mentioning I would escalate to Expedia did the staff suddenly find an option to move us after the first night. The room was extremely small, with only one USB outlet near the bed. The beds were uncomfortable, the walls were thin, and we could clearly hear noise from other rooms and the hallway. The bathroom felt cramped, similar to a camper-style setup. Another disappointing point: despite charging over $200 per night, the hotel does not offer any full room cleaning service at all. Under their so-called “eco” policy, they only replace towels but do not clean the room, make the bed, or refresh amenities. This is unacceptable for a hotel at this price level.?

Overall, our stay was fine, but be aware that this hotel is very much targeted at and for westerners (including the breakfast options in the hotel). If you aren't looking for a more traditional experience, this might be the place for you. The room was clean, save for suspicious mystery stains on the bed and carpeting. Housekeeping was very...minimal. The staff were kind, but not very helpful when asked about the trains/Shinkansen information and the best way to go about it (we were told to just figure it out). However the location was next to a lovely park and nearby Tokyo Metropolitan government buildings, generally convenient with access to Metro lines. Ultimately, in a city full of the exceptional, this hotel was one of mediocrity for us.

Room was close to most locations. 20-30 minute walk to Shinjuku area. Please with the size of the room. Lobby and front desk were helpful and accommodating. Yamato Luggage delivery service was accepted and worked seamlessly, delivering from Kyoto. We were able to store our luggage after we checked out. Only improvements: needs more trash cans in the room. Only one small bag in the bathroom. One trash was used for the whole room. Some charging outlets were faulty. Thermostat was a bit odd. Minimum temperature was set to 20C. The room felt too hot, luckily we could open the window for fresh air. Hotel had limited towels. Exactly 1 set of towels for 2 people.

While the property itself was great the rooms were not so great. The shower was tiny and at 6’2 I had a hard time taking a shower or using the mirror in the bathroom. The beds were very firm and the room was tiny.

Rooms were SMALL! Not suitable for 2 adults with luggage. No wardrobes, bathroom tiny, for the price you’d really think you’d have more room. The cleaning didn’t even involve making the bed daily, bed sheets changed once in 3 days which is fine. I knew the room was meant to be small but didn’t expect it to be this small. Bottles of water 2 per day and if you ask for more you’re directed to vending machine.

Very busy with mostly foreigners. The lobby area seemed always hectic. Big queues at breakfast. We stayed at the Knot Hiroshima, which was a step up in quality and customer service. By contrast the Knot. Shinjuku seemed more budget hotel and high price. There’s not much nearby by way of eating / shopping. The Oedo line at Tochomae, 10 minute stroll, has good subway connections and is just one stop into lively Shinjuku so that’s a positive.

We stayed for 4D3N. When we checked in, we told the staff that we gonna pay by unipay,then she asked us to put the card in, not working, tap again, not working. we told her again that we r using union pay, not taken. then the higher status staff came and tried again. ofc not working as we dont see any symbol of unipay shown on the card machine. Then the staff said not ok. That higher staus staff returned the card to me with his fingertips, thats kind of rude. Then the clean up staff was okay on the first day, but not on the second and third day. On the third day, the staff just put towels on one of the beds and the toothbrushes on top of the toilet. This is unacceptable.

Even though they were remodeling, there was minimal noise. Service was great and welcoming. Loved that they were able to transfer our luggages to our next location in Osaka. Will recommend to friends!

This Hotel is in a great location to explore the Shinjuku and Shibuya area, the staff are amazing and the restaurant downstairs for both breakfast and dinner was top notch! I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo we cannot wait to return next year!

Breakfast is great ! Family Mart in 5 mins walking distance . Shinjuku station is a bit far (maybe 15mins walking ) but is nice to stay a bit away from station since it would be quieter . Highly recommend.

The Knot is a perfect, reliable, clean, cool place to stay when in Tokyo. It’s also relatively affordable. Have stayed twice - the location is great. Walking distance to the action of shinjuku but in a quiet, tree-lined area dominated by a beautiful park. The rooms are very bare bones and small but comfortable and spotlessly clean. The coffee shop and cafe in the lobby are great and a wonderful convenience to get the day started. Will def stay here again when I’m next in Tokyo.

This Hotel is modern and trendy. It offers a cool restaurant and lounge. The staff were very helpful and attentive and spoke great English making it easy. Its located on a quiet street across from a park and a couple minute walk to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and subway satation. The room was clean, beds and pillows comfortable. I would highly reccomend staying here.

I usually book all hotels closed to the train station for easy transportation. It looked closed by the Shinjuku train station on the internet when I booked this hotel. It is right across from the Central Park and is 10-15 minutes walk from the west exit of the train station. The walk would be OK if it was not raining and cold at night. We ended up taking taxi a lot to and from the station/hotel. The hotel lobby is very crowded with a lot of backpacker travelers and group tours. There is a bakery in the lobby but it opens 8 am to 7 pm. We wanted to get some pastries for breakfast but they were not open and we had to leave the hotel early for sightseeing. By the time we came back, they were already closed. There are not a lot of dining options nearby unless you go back to the train station area. The staff were helpful and the hotel doesn't charge for overnight luggage storage.

Loved the restaurant upstairs. Downstairs not great. Breakfast was really good but a bit expensive. We discovered the bakery and that was perfect in the am. Coffee and tea service was a long wait and not great. Really crowded hotel sort of reminded me of Vegas. I wouldn't go back as the front desk was not helpful and their check in system was redundant and time consuming.

Fantastic location super close to the park and other businesses. Rooms were kept very clean and were well designed for the space. Shower was always hot and ready and we didn’t want for anything. Staff was on point all the time even with the daily eco cleans. Bakery downstairs was a bonus and we couldn’t get enough of the bread and pastries.

This hotel was great. This was the 7th hotel we stayed in while touring Japan and it had all the things we've come to appreciate in Japan except the breakfast and the bakery were quite expensive. Thankfully there are better options nearby. Would stay here again.
