Hotel Mystays Gotanda Station

Front desk staff were very helpful and location is good with family mart downstairs, a small shopping mall & Don Quixote nearby,

I liked how it was very close to the station. The staff was all very nice. I noticed that my room wasn’t as clean as I would have liked it to be when I first got in (the shower and bathroom area was a bit dirty). The washer and dryer on-site didn’t dry my clothes well and I don’t think it’s managed well. There were always clothes on the small seats from other people and it looked like it was left there for more than 3 days.

The hotel is perfectly fine and the staff is helpful. The cleaning crew was confused about the "Eco-friendly" cleaning plan so that caused several visits to the front desk. The room is typically Japanese small and the air from the AC is super cold. The hotel seems pretty old and has areas where the floor tiles are broken into pieces, etc. On the upside it has a free washer/dryer room which is super handy.

We really enjoyed our stay here as it is super close to Gotanda station with convenient links across Tokyo (only 15 mins from Shibuya). We decided to upgrade rooms upon arrival and the staff were very helpful and the process was seamless. As we've been travelling across Japan for 3 weeks, the laundry facilities were most welcome! You can also buy detergent there for a small cost. There is a Familymart on the ground floor (super convenient!) and there are multiple communal microwaves across the hotel to use to heat up food to take back to your room. As long as you don't mind the train noises or have ear plugs, it won't be an issue for you. Would recommend this hotel!

Hotel was great for the price. Yes, the room was small even though I got the more expensive and slightly larger room meant for two people. I was a solo traveler so it was perfect for me. The bathroom was a bit tight for my 6 ft. self(183 cm) but it is doable. I hit my head a few times because the ceiling above the shower/water controls is a bit lower. Water pressure and temps were very good. Toilet had Japanese style water spray system but I didn’t use it. You can control the air conditioner in the room. Laundry room works well and is free to use but you need to buy your own detergent. I really had no major complaints staying here but I did wish the blackout curtains went all the way to the floor instead of just below the windows. The sunlight still gets through the bottom. Great area away from the tourists but it was still quite busy with locals. Restaurants around here can get busy during lunch/dinner time but it’s not as crazy as Shibuya, Shinjuku or other major tourist spots. There’s plenty of shops here too. The station is very close by and you have access to the JR Yamanote train and the TOEI Asakusa subway line. Subway can take you directly to Asakusa and the Skytree(Oshiage). It also can take you to both airports but it’s a bit complicated to explain here. Of course, Yamanote is one of the main tourist lines and you have easy access here because Gotanda station is small. There’s also access to the Ikegami train line but I never used it. Enjoy your trip!

Very close to subway/metro and train station. A lot of food stores, shopping stores in the area. Room was clean and cozy. Its size was adequate for 2 persons. Washing and drying machines were available in the hotel (200 yen/each wash load; 100 yen/30 minutes of dryer).

The room was lovely, had bath and shower, also laundry on site and the staff was super helpful. There's a convenience store right outside the front door and it's a block away from the subway station. So many food options all over too.

Very clean and spacious room for a family of four. The decor wasn't lacking nor over-the-top. Plenty of seating around the room, along with a fridge and water heater for tea. Very convenient location with a train station across the street, and a Family Mart right by the entrance.

アクセス良好、飲食場所多、部屋も清潔綺麗。ちょっと狭いのは都心だから受容。

It can be cleaner.. Inside the room had a musty smell. I started to have headaches. I asked if there was dehumidifier function in AC, but they didn't. The laundry area seemed not been taken care of. I am sorry to leave negative reviews but this place can be improved. I guess not enough housekeeping staffs?

Sehr freundliches Personal. Die Zimmer wurden jeden Tag gereinigt. Man hat gleich beim Hoteleingang einen Family Mart. Sehr zu empfehlen.

部屋に入っての第一印象が 髪の毛落ちてて残念。 綺麗そうでドライヤーも指紋だらけで汚かった。

Room is way too small. Room is dirty, dusty and smelly. There’s odor from the bathroom. If you are 5’9”, you probably can’t stand straight to shower.

침대밑, 세면대 배수구와 하부, 욕조배수구, 변기 하부의 위생상태가 마른 휴지로도 검은 곰팡이가 닦일 정도입니다.

換気扇やエアコンのフィルターの埃が気になりました

窓の外がすぐＪＲの電車のホームで、夜も24時近くまで、朝も５時くらいからずっとアナウンスや発車のメロディー、通過電車の轟音などが響きうまく眠れませんでした。 私のリサーチ不足でしたが、値段の割に部屋も狭く騒音がひどかったので残念です。 朝食会場のスタッフの方はとても明るく親切でした。

Very clean and convenient next to the train station. Our room was very quiet but you can hear the trains in rooms facing the station. Relatively updated but the furniture and room are a bit miniature, which is hard to tell from the photos (but common in Japan as I understand). All in all it was a great place to stay and we would definitely stay there again.

部屋の狭さに驚いた。この部屋で19000円とは考えられない狭さ。スーツケースもほとんど広げられない。

今回宿泊した部屋がエレベーターから遠い場所でした 静かで良かったが　WiFiが全く繋がらなかった ビジネス出張で宿泊しただけにとても残念です ホテル側へ対策願います

電車經過房間非常嘈吵，由早上到凌晨，每分鐘也有電車經過，訂了七晚房間，忍受了兩晚便要離開，餘下的又不能退錢！非常差

難点は、シャワーブースの狭さ、日本人でも動けないのに、外国の方はブースにも入れない。

Room was ok for size, (as we booked the larger room), but there was almost zero space for clothing and such. No shelves, no hooks, just some hangers by the wall - very inconvenient for longer trips/stay. As for service, the cleaners were ok, provided good service, thank you. Out room was opposite to a service room (room 19 on the floor), and around 2 am we were woken up by the noise , apparently caused by service staff filling up the supply in the service room. WE asked the reception to ask them to be quiet, which worked for a few days, then started again. WE did not have breakfast or other services.

Shower space is too small and narrow.

The location was great, very close to both JR & metro station. The room was very compact as expected in Tokyo standard. However, the Wi-Fi is signal was very weak. Even when it was successfully connected, it was still slow like hell.

This place is pretty run down. Not the nicest property to stay at. It is very convenient for the subway but staff is terrible. I requested a non smoking room and they placed me in a smoking room and I have major allergies. They said the room I booked didn’t have any non smoking so I would have to upgrade. I paid an additional amount for every night I was there to be in an “upgraded non smoking room”. Then the room I was placed in was only available 2 of the 3 night stay so I had to change rooms which meant checking out at 11 and checking back in at 3pm. The last night they put me in a wheel chair accessible room so I had a tub and no shower head like the first room. They never told me yet I still paid for the upgrade. It was just a mess overall. Unfortunately I do not recommend this place.

금연방 요청했는데 담배 냄새가 나서 전화 걸었더니 바로 룸을 쾌적한 방으로 바꿔 주셨습니다. 응대도 빠르고 친절합니다

Overall not a bad hotel for the price. For overseas visitors the rooms will likely be surprisingly small, but if you’re only concerned about convenience and a relatively comfortable bed then it’s a good option for a central Tokyo location. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby and it’s only 2mins walk from the station. However, of all the Mystays hotels I’ve stayed in, I found the staff here to be the least friendly. They are quite robotic and inflexible to deal with compared with their colleagues at other properties. In summary, if budget and location are key for you, and you’re not concerned about space or service then this is a relatively good option.

Great experience! My friend sent the small package to the hotel but she accidentally sent the same group hotel but different address but they were able to find out my name and sent it to me. What a wonderful experiences that I had with them. Thank you

JR五反田駅出てすぐというロケーションとホテル入り口横にコンビニあり、とても便利でした。

五反田駅から徒歩1分でホテルがとても近く、五反田駅から色んなところに行けるのでとても快適な旅行が出来た。 目的駅の国際展示場駅まで大崎から少しなのでまた利用したいと思えました。

Good hotel for the price. Excellent access to transportation (it's across the street from the JR train station). However, the noise of the trains might be bothersome to some during train hours. Neighborhood is a mixed bag, some streets nearby aren't wholesome.

5 minutes walk to Gotanda station

The breakfast buffet is the healthiest I ever had . No fancy lobby but our room was very clean and well insulated, amenities were adequate. Everyone was helpful and smiling. And a very short walk to the train station as well as food shops and restaurants. It exceeded my expectations and will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Quarto apertado, mas no padrão dos hotéis japoneses. Não compensa o café da manhã, pois tem poucas opções e os que foram servidos não são saborosos. A localização é excelente, estação de trem, metrô, farmácia, restaurantes e mercado nas proximidades. Faxina diária, mas deixa a desejar .

在車站對面樓下有全家非常方便。但房間真的非常非常小，樓層的天花板也很低，不是自己住的話其實沒有很推⋯ 早餐⋯覺得不用加購啦！

Great location near the train… though you can hear it coming and going until it stops running. But we use a fan sound to sleep at night, so it wasn’t a big problem. Great shower. Small room, but as expected and was more than sufficient. Great breakfast! Super friendly staff. And a Family Mart attached to the building right outside the entry.. super convenient. I also had a drink in the bar down the stairs (connected as well). Lots of good places to eat across the street. And if you want to try a Japanese casino, it’s right next door! Very cool area and not overwhelming like Shibuya or Shinjuku.. a good short train ride from those areas.

Great location, breakfast has many options and a nice view of the station crossing. Would stay again.
