An unusual place in a great location. No restaurant on site, but a good kitchen, ensure you shop before arriving in the village. Comfortable with shared facilities.

Stayed 2 nights

The staff was very nice and helpful. It had a communal kitchen and a communal bathroom with a kind of onsen or basically a big bathtub with hot springwater to be used by multiple people. It is right above the vine bridge so it’s in central area, but there’s not much in this area in the way of dining options. We went down the street and was able to get some simple food. I don’t know if I would’ve booked it if I’d known it had a communal bathroom. it was clean though and surprisingly it didn’t get congested even though there were other guests there. we met some interesting people there which you usually don’t get to meet at the big hotels. The beds are japanese style and the walls are very thin. There was a lot of dampness in the rooms, but I don’t think anyone can help that since it’s a pretty damp area of the world. Overall, it was a pleasant stay in a very beautiful part of the world.
