Could provide better parking instructions

Lovely boutique hotel…in a great spot for exploring old Bern. We loved it! Our only disappointment was the Expedia amnesties stated free parking off site, that is not true, as we had to pay, the hotel gave us a small discount.., would not honour what was stated in the Expedia description.

Ubicación ideal en el casco antiguo de Berna y cerca del parque de osos. Limpio, cómodo, y fácil de acceder aún cuando está cerrada la recepción. Necesita más personal ya que tuve que esperar más de media hora a que apareciese alguien por la tarde para recoger la maleta, pero por suerte hay una excelente heladeria al lado.

Great location in the heart of Old Town. Nice big room, clean, with comfortable beds. We were a late arrival so had to let ourselves in. Instructions sent prior were very easy to follow, but it was a bit strange as everything was dark when we entered. Also had an issue connecting to wifi, as we were unable to receive SMS message with access code. Had to ask at reception next morning and they gave us the code - not sure why they don’t just provide it? Other than that, we had a nice visit.

Such a cute area. Very good location. Rooms were very clean. Having no air conditioning was a little sad in July but all the other positives out weighed this. The fan definitely helped. I would totally stay here again and recommend this gem of a hotel.

Excelente hotel, quarto espaçoso, limpo, e muito bem localizado, bem no centro histórico de Berna.

Un albergo veramente delizioso. Vicino al centro, nella città vecchia e a due passi dal parco degli orsi e al rose garden. Posizione strategica..Camera arredata con gusto. Molto pulita. Letto comodissimo e lenzuola candide.Dotata di confort : macchina del caffè a disposizione che per noi italiani è essenziale! Tra l'altro anche un buon caffè. Possibilità di aggiungere del latte. Tè, tisane, biscottini e anche due bottiglie d'acqua. Ah dimenticavo...la frutta. Poi ciabatte, spazzolino, dentifricio. Tatiana alla reception è veramente cordiale e disponibile. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

The hotel itself was beautiful, the room was perfect with comfortable beds, a clean room and a nice bathroom. Our hotel window overlooked the main road, which had no cars on it so it was nice and quiet. Just around the hotel were wonderful restaurants, a five minute walk to the bear pit and just down the road from the rose garden where we went to see the sunset. we ate at a Thai restaurant next-door and then went for fondue just up the road. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating and overall we had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel and recommend it highly.

Cleaning staff require closer supervision.

Great location. Easy to get to on public transportation. Room was nice and clean. Bathroom was spacious. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here!

This is an older hotel in the old town of Bern. It is a beautiful building with a lot of character and charm. The check in was easy, they held our luggage for us while we did some sightseeing, and were very friendly. The building itself seemed very hot and stuffy...but that is not unusual for this age of building. There was a fan in the room and with our windows open it cooled off fairly quickly.

Hotel location is the main advantage. It’s literally 3- 10 min walk from all sightseeing attractions. Room was a very good size and clean. Hotel is very dated. Reception only works till 6 pm so late arrival needs to be arranged in advance and I almost missed it. Staff is very nice. There is no air conditioner. It’s a cold spring in Switzerland and opening the windows and being that it’s off season with little noise from the street solved it for me but during the summer it would have been a problem. Overall, stay there when it’s cold outside and if you have little time for any commute to the old city.

Great service, perfect location for walking to all of the sights and shopping or hopping on a bus across the street. Beautiful property, comfy beds! My only note is that it is HOT in the summer — I stayed on the top floor and there was no AC, just fans, so I was very sweaty. I think that is typical for Europe, though. Would definitely come back, but probably book a room on a lower floor.

A very nice room in the beautiful old town. We enjoyed opening the big windows and sitting in the chairs watching the street with our morning coffee.

The view from the room was overlooking the old town was lovely. Lots of shopping and cafes right outside the door and the bus stop was nearby. At night it was very quiet.

A lovely hotel on a perfect neighborhood marred seriously by a huge disconnect regarding payment. Until I het home next week and cam review my credit card statements from August I wont know what happened but my Hotels.com app said I had paid and the hotel insisted I did not Too bad because the rest of the stay was fine

Our room was at the top of a long flight of stairs after the elevator ended and there was no one to assist us with our bags. Upon entering the room we could not turn on the lights. After the one staff person on duty investigated it turned out that a breaker had been tripped, and had to be reset. All seemed fine. However, when we returned to the room in the evening the electricity was out again. This meant the power to the room could have gone out at any time, and the hotel management and staff leave overnight! We could not stay in the room. The person on duty was not very helpful in finding us a new accommodation, and Hotel Belle Epoque did not offer to compensate us the difference in cost between a long reserved room and a same day reservation at a different hotel. While we waited for a taxi another guest told us their room had no air-conditioning (when it was 36C out!) and that they had "had a rough night". The property misrepresents itself, the staff are inexperienced, and the establishment overcharges for the services it provides. It is straining to be a two-star hotel, and it strains credulity to think that any travelers would pay the money this establishment charges for the poor services it provides. Avoid it if you can!

When we arrived there was no staff present at the check in desk and we were unable to get into the hotel bc you need a key fob to get in. There was a sign indicating that the staff goes home by 5pm and we arrived in Bern at 6pm. I was not notified of these hours beforehand. if I had known I would’ve planned accordingly. I was unable to get a hold of any staff through the phone number provided on their sign. After waiting outside for almost an hour, by luck, we were able to get in as another hotel guest was leaving.

The perfect hotel to explore Bern from. We just walked out of the hotel and were able to walk everywhere.

The view from the room was overlooking the old town was lovely. Lots of shopping and cafes right outside the door and the bus stop was nearby. At night it was very quiet.

Traveling from Zurich to Paris by train and stayed in Bern. Distance from train station was a bit far by foot but public metro is always an option. Area was amazing, old world buildings and extremely close to river. Directly in the heart of Bern. Would stay again.

Stadt Hotel sehr gute Lage Geräuschpegel ist äußerst erträglich. Würde ich jederzeit wieder dort wohnen. Frühstück 19Fr. Typisch Schweiz
