Beautiful hotel with amazing views of the pyramids. Very friendly staff. Delicious food in Moghul restaurant and for breakfast buffet. Couldn't give 5 stars because there were 4 weddings at the hotel and the music was exceptionally loud until 11pm. We were only told that there would be loud music when we arrived.

Lovely hotel with exceptional location for the pyramids. Disappointingly, a vast structure erected in the garden (for a wedding), blocking a large viewing area of the pyramids. The noise from the weddings (dj/music) in the evenings was deafening, not relaxing at all. Booking for an external restaurant not made as requested and airport transfer fee, organised by the hotel, was very expensive. It transpires if we had used an independent travel company, we could have reduced the cost by 80%! We did this for our return journey.

My group was very nicely welcomed by the Hotel staff. The room service, restaurant, and club waiters are kind and professional. The spa was also good. It is a short distance from the Great Pyramids, and the concierge assisted us in going there safely. All the people we interacted with in the Hotel were kind and served us promptly. I want to mention: Mahmoud, Amal, and Ragab at the restaurant for their outstanding service. The cost was worth booking rooms facing the Pyramids. Very good experience in general at Mena House Hotel in Giza.

I stayed at Marriott Mena House and it exceeded all expectations. The location is perfect, just steps away from the Pyramids of Giza, with the most incredible view you can imagine. My room looked directly at the Great Pyramid and waking up to that sight was absolutely unforgettable. The property is well maintained with lush gardens, a beautiful pool, and a blend of modern comfort and historic charm. Service was excellent. Staff were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. Breakfast overlooking the pyramids was another highlight of my stay. If you visit, I recommend booking a Pyramid View room. It is more expensive but worth every cent for the once-in-a-lifetime experience. Overall, this is the best hotel in Giza and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairo.

Great views from our Pyramid view room. Whilst we enjoyed our slightly dated room, slight improvements such as USB sockets bedside and soft closing toilets would be a nice addition. We ate breakfast and also had dinner at the 139 Pavilion restaurant which also had great views of the Pyramids! Buffet breakfast and dinner had a large variety of food. The Moghul Room food was authentic and tasty, however the room was super cold! We also tried the Alfredo Italian restaurant which was also nice although it was full when we tried to eat there on our second day so we had to come back the following day, so best to make a reservation! At all these restaurants alcohol is available but if you drink any international brands you will be paying a premium! We tried most of the locals wines which were surprisingly ok. The pool is a decent size although not with a view of the Pyramids! Note, the original historic section of the main hotel including the main reception was under renovation when we were there although not much work seemed to be happening so it wasn’t noisy. Customer service was great and all the staff were friendly and helpful!

Location is unbeatable , staff are very professional (although on the higher cost in comparison, laundry service is meticulously presented) and the facility is nothing generally to complain about. Just do take note on their communication if there is a wedding since you can kiss sleeping warly goodbye.

Property was beautiful, staff was helpful and pleasant. The restaurant was very good (139 The Pavilion). Only issue I had was I noticed a slight unpleasant smell in my pillows, this was unexpected and made what would have been a five star experience, a four.

Las recámaras que nos asignaron tenían mucho polvo, olían a encerrado y tanto los cojines como la ropa de cama olían a encerrado. Solicite que cambiaran todo por uno nuevo y lo hicieron pero resultó igual. No sé si sea su jabón o que tienen la ropa de cama y toallas almacenadas desde mucho tiempo y apestan. Fue muy incómodo. El gerente tuvo la atención el último día de regalarle a mis hijas unos snacks en compensación (se agradece) pero eso esclarece que su visión de atención al cliente es nula. Día casi una burla, me comentó que lo lamenta mucho y que la próxima ocasión me dará una vista al jardín jajajajaa como si fuera a repetir el hotel. Lo único que puedo recomendar del hotel son sus restaurantes en cuanto a comida y servicio pero el hotel es viejo, feo, olor pésimo y perteneció a los mayores saqueadores de Egipto. Todos los guías nos explicaron que ese hotel se hizo para hospedar a los saqueadores por excelencia que en ese momento fueron los británicos y franceses.

We stayed for 12 days in a room with a view of the pyramids. The hotel staff were exceptional. There was nothing they wouldn’t do to make sure our stay was amazing. The hotel is very clean, modern and extremely well kept.

Such a disappointment in a hotel this hotel is desperate for a renovation. It was great in the 70s and 80s even the early 90s but now it is tired and worn out. The stench of stale cigarettes comes through the walls. The whole room was smelly the cleanliness below what we consider acceptable the view for a pyramid room disappointing. Also the food that was delivered was barely edible excluding the bread which was great. Wouldn’t stay here again and couldn’t recommend.

The hotel, staff cleanliness were excellent. Location was right by the Pyramids. Outside the hotel location was disappointing, you need a car to get anywhere. The internet is not a steady connection and we had issues with the TV connection going in and out.

Hotel bom mas caro. Antigo mas bem conservado. Restaurante com vista para pirâmides. Paguei um upgrade para vista da Pirâmide porém teve uma festa de casamento até 2h da manhã com música altíssima. Antes de reservar pergunte se tem casamento marcado, se tiver, peça quarto longe da festa.
Hotel bom mas caro. Antigo mas bem conservado. Restaurante com vista para pirâmides. Paguei um upgrade para vista da Pirâmide porém teve uma festa de casamento até 2h da manhã com música altíssima. Antes de reservar pergunte se tem casamento marcado, se tiver, peça quarto longe da festa.

Not a 5 star hotel Nice pool and good hairdryer but: My room had an old tub you have to climb in and out of for a shower and no hand held nozzle. At 3:00, after being hot and sticky from touring the pyramids, my room still wasn’t made up. I had contacted the concierge weeks in advance to make a late lunch reservation at the 139 terrace restaurant. Said I’d have a front row table with great view of the pyramids. When I got there, there was no reservation. And service is incredibly slow

Absolutely amazing property. Its gorgeous. The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because the bathrooms need to be updated. They’re clean, just older facilities. Otherwise this hotel is a must see. The rooms are big, beds are super comfortable. Its such a treat to be able to walk out and see the pyramids, and have a meal with the pyramids as your view. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel is in an amazing location with a view of the pyramids from your balcony and a short walking distance to the pyramids if you choose. Rooms and service was fantastic. However, the hotel hosts a lot of weddings so be prepared for delays entering your hotel and loud music until 11pm. The night we arrived (Friday) the hotel was hosting 3 weddings and also on Saturday there was at least one. Didn’t experience any weddings during the week.

Marriott Mena House is comfortable and peaceful with a beautiful view of the pyramids. This hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to the Pyramids of Giza. Cairo is an extremely busy city but Marriott Mena feels separated and calm. You can hear the noise of the city but the relaxing environment of the hotel takes you away. The room was clean, comfortable with a peaceful garden view from the balcony. The staff are very helpful, friendly and speak english well so I never had an issue with understanding. Breakfast buffet is huge with a amazing view of the Pyramids. Dinner selection was delicious with a relaxing atmosphere. I loved my trip and would tell any Cairo visitors stay here.

At The Pavilion restaurant, a staff member made an offensive, racially charged comment when I simply asked about dining options. Despite tipping generously and being respectful, we noticed significantly better treatment given to lighter-skinned guests. I raised these concerns with the duty manager at checkout, and all I received was a flat “I’m sorry.” No follow-up, no accountability. For a hotel of this caliber, this experience was unacceptable. I had a problem with check in that was an Expedia issue .. however the mena house front desk staff went above and beyond to assist us and make us beyond comfortable .. we had connecting rooms with pyramid view .. the best view you could wish for .. this place is it .. the hotel grounds and everything was behind nice .. the was helpful in every way .. the best Egypt stay I have ever experienced .. I would return there in a heartbeat.. they front desk staff rescued my vacation.

Loved the hotel and the concierge staff on site were amazing especially Maria. Had some issues with delayed responses from concierge staff before my visit. Excellent property and amazing stay, lost 1 star for communication before arrival but some of this is on me as my trip was planned last minute. If I had planned far in advance it would not have been an issue. Views were amazing

Not a 5 star hotel Nice pool and good hairdryer but: My room had an old tub you have to climb in and out of for a shower and no hand held nozzle. At 3:00, after being hot and sticky from touring the pyramids, my room still wasn’t made up. I had contacted the concierge weeks in advance to make a late lunch reservation at the 139 terrace restaurant. Said I’d have a front row table with great view of the pyramids. When I got there, there was no reservation. And service is incredibly slow

Food quality lags behind and some supervisors/managers within the staff can hardly communicate in English or have a more resolute and classy approach. Despite that some employees, surprisingly not managers, actually stood out to have better skills, mannerisms and understanding than their managers so they raised the level to acceptable standards.

All the staff were incredible particularly Habiba, Front Desk Manager,who gets a Gold Star for Service, Mosehli, Manager, and Khamis who handled our bags and showed us the property upon arrival and was very helpful at our departure. Saner and Nancy in the evening Front Desk were very helpful. Helal from Housekeeping as well as Mohammad. Ibrahim and Ms. Amal from Breakfast were also very helpful. We had an incredible stay at an incredible historic hotel.

I stayed at Marriott Mena House and it exceeded all expectations. The location is perfect, just steps away from the Pyramids of Giza, with the most incredible view you can imagine. My room looked directly at the Great Pyramid and waking up to that sight was absolutely unforgettable. Beautifully set overlooking the pyramids. Service is very attentive. Large heated pool with plenty of sun beds and pool service. Good choice of restaurants. However as a tourist i wouldn't venture out of the hotel on my own. Area outside is very run down and feels a bit unsafe. I would recommend this hotel if you want somewhere very close to the pyramids for a short visit.

Our stay was fantastic. My only beef with this trip was the room service food. It was inexpensive but not that great. Housekeeping was fantastic and the front desk was extremely helpful. Definitely would stay here again.

The situation of the hotel right next to the great pyramids is THE feature about this hotel which means you shouldn’t miss it. It’s spectacular! And yes, I’d go again. BUT it’s somewhat run down, the restaurants are far from 5* level, service is good but not great, and the price you pay clearly shows that this hotel doesn’t have any of its normal 5* competitors nearby. Hence, it’s not good value for money.

The Mena House has a great reputation, rich history, and a wonderful view of the Pyramids of the Giza Plateau. The staff was friendly and helpful, however, there were a few things that could be improved. We ordered cocktails on three occasions that were completely incorrect. It appeared that the Bartenders were unfamiliar with the recipes of the most basis cocktails (a Cosmo, Vodka Martini, etc.). A bit of a surprise for such a storied venue. Additionally, the Wait Staff at the 139 Restaurant were very slow in taking orders or in checking on customers for additional needs. Several times I was forced to seek out out Server to get basics such as salt and pepper, or to order additional beverages. We also attended your New Year's Eve Gala during our stay. We were most disappointed to learn upon arrival that the fireworks over the Pyramids had been cancelled when the hotel decided to move the dinner inside. One of the reasons for our choice of the Mena House Gala was specifically to enjoy the sight of fireworks over the Pyramids. Additionally, the wait staff at the event were completely disorganized. I had to retrieve the Champaign that were had paid for for the Midnight toast from the bar when it hadn't been served to any table by 11:58 p.m. (Champaign was included in the cost of the event). Overall, a reasonably enjoyable stay, despite these issues. I may consider a return to the property during my next trip, but it won't be at the top of my list.

The Mena house is absolutely beautiful 😍. The staff and property is amazing! The only thing for me was that since ai am vegan there were little to no options available for me to choose from when dining. I had to pick different items and if request no cheese, meat and eggs are possible. It was a bit uncomfortable.

Stayed here in July 2023. Had a wonderful view of the pyramids from out balcony. However, I expected a little more from a 5 star property. First, every "Insta Influencer" in a 500 mile radius was there to take 1 billion selfies in front of the pyramids. They were relentless and ridiculuous. Second, the food was bland and lack luster. We had room service, Restaurant 139, poolside and Alfredo meals. The best part was the breakfast buffet. The clientele is really globlal...and not always respectful of others. We had to leave the pool one afternoon because some guests from the east found it OK to both spit and blow snot rockets into the pool. The staff did nothing to stop them. While the location is great, the headache and lackluster ammenities are not worth the view. Next time in Cairo I will look to stay in a 5 star in the city.

First, every "Insta Influencer" in a 500 mile radius was there to take 1 billion selfies in front of the pyramids. They were relentless and ridiculuous. Second, the food was bland and lack luster. We had room service, Restaurant 139, poolside and Alfredo meals. The best part was the breakfast buffet. The clientele is really globlal...and not always respectful of others. We had to leave the pool one afternoon because some guests from the east found it OK to both spit and blow snot rockets into the pool. The staff did nothing to stop them. While the location is great, the headache and lackluster ammenities are not worth the view. Next time in Cairo I will look to stay in a 5 star in the city.

So glad we went with this hotel for our Cairo trip! This is the best marriott hotel i’ve ever been to. Location is next to pyramid with fantastic views, rooms were clean, service impeccable. Resturant 139 had great breakfast and dinner buffet.

Great views from our Pyramid view room. Whilst we enjoyed our slightly dated room, slight improvements such as USB sockets bedside and soft closing toilets would be a nice addition. We ate breakfast and also had dinner at the 139 Pavilion restaurant which also had great views of the Pyramids! Buffet breakfast and dinner had a large variety of food. The Moghul Room food was authentic and tasty, however the room was super cold! We also tried the Alfredo Italian restaurant which was also nice although it was full when we tried to eat there on our second day so we had to come back the following day, so best to make a reservation! At all these restaurants alcohol is available but if you drink any international brands you will be paying a premium! We tried most of the locals wines which were surprisingly ok. The pool is a decent size although not with a view of the Pyramids! Note, the original historic section of the main hotel including the main reception was under renovation when we were there although not much work seemed to be happening so it wasn’t noisy. Customer service was great and all the staff were friendly and helpful!

If you're heading to Cairo, this is the place you must stay! Private entrance to the pyramids and a golf cart ride there. Friendly, helpful staff, who go out of their way to make it enjoyable. On top of all that you have one of the best restaurants in Cairo on the premises and the views of the pyramids are unmatched!
