Victoria&alfred hotel: ottimo albergo. La mansarda assegnataci ha gli abbaìni quindi in caso di pioggia diventa rumoroso per coloro che nn amano l’effetto “camper”. Il parcheggio è gratuito e un servizio di valletto ripone e riporta l’auto a richiesta. Ottima la colazione sia dolce che salata. Sufficientemente varia anche senza richiedere Il menu aggiuntivo a pagamento: uova cotte omelette e bacon a pagamento. Nn a disposizione pane a buffet. Intorno tantissimi ristoranti x tuttele tasche nonché supermercato super fornito per preparasi per il proseguimento del viaggio

Early check in was accommodated. Room was huge & comfortable. Our room was noisy due to music & building work right outside but timings of the noise were fine. Not unsocial timing. Amazing staff in the restaurant & bar. Great location on the waterfront. Wonderful views & service great on terrace.

The hotel location is excellent on the V&A waterfront. The restaurant looked out on the water with sea lions frolicking as we had breakfast. The staff were very helpful and we engaged the hotel chauffer service to tour around Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Bay, Cape Point etc. The downside - we had a few issues with infrastructure - no hot water - faulty wiring. This was however rectified but disappointing none the less. The room was poorly lit with no central lights. The swimming pool was closed which was disappointing. The breakfast and dinner were good value. There were some nice shops in the hotel mall and for those not wanting breakfast in hotel a coffee shop and bakery.

I am a repeat visitor due to the style of the hotel, it’s location and the staff friendliness. Same staff at the hotel for many years which says so much about how they are treated. Best breakfast location next to the harbour too with a Mountain View 😀

Stunning hotel and room. Can’t beat the location. Great housekeeping. Great coffee shop attached to hotel. 2 main issues which is why I’m not able to give 5/5. When booking our stay, it stated the hotel had a pool, gym and numerous other facilities that actually were in the sister hotel across the road. Nowhere on this site did it mention that they were part of the other hotel. Secondly, and more annoyingly, we only went to use the pool once for a couple of hours and turned up and there were only about 12 beds, 2 of which were “reserved” but empty the whole time we were there. There is however loads of space for additional beds. I can’t see how 12 beds would ever be enough for a pool that is used by 2 hotels (or maybe 3 as I’ve read there’s another sister hotel). We had to have a quick dip and head home as no beds became available.

Sooo convenient with shops and dining. Also close to main pickup/dropoff areas for taking boat or shuttles. Only missing is the pool - had to go across the street to use someone else's.

After 50 + days at sea it was a treat to sleep in such a comfortable bed in a spacious room. Great location right in the middle of the V&A Waterfront. Lovely views. Friendly helpful staff. Valet parking and beautiful little boutiques adjacent to the lobby.

Abbiamo scelto questa struttura a Cape Town perche’ nn esiste un hotel 5 stelle nella Zona del Waterfront. Le camere loft uniche disponibili su EXPEDIA avrebbero bisogno di un po’ di ristrutturazione…., armadi scrostati e anche qualche pezzetto di muro. Il lavandino del bagno nn scaricava acqua, le persiane dei velux rotte, i cuscini scomodissimi e con gommapiuma deteriorata all’interno…..l’acqua fuoriusciva dalla porta della doccia inzuppando il tappetino. Biancheria da bagno scadente… una vera delusione! Unica cosa davvero perfetta è la posizione, ottima per ristoranti e shopping e per raggiungere qualsiasi punto della città. È una vista meravigliosa sulla TABLE MOUNTAIN.

Hotel is well located, but i didnt find the reception very friendly upon checkin. We had a room in the last floors so the windows are in the roof, felt tight. The shower has not been cleaned properly in awhile and the grout has black marks on it, i used my flops while i showered. The room needs love and to be cleaned!

I picked this property for the location and while that didn't disappoint, everything else did. There is nothing luxurious about this property. the lobby might give you a sense of security but don't fall for it. The room is reminiscent of someone turning their attic into an Airbnb. The door to the room (on the inside) was so dirty and the carpet was worse. Most of the outlets were away from the bed. and we were provided 2 very small bottles of water. The massive tub in the bathroom did not really appeal to me but the mold in the shower definitely inspired some nightmares. We ended up asking for a room change since the original one faced the front of the hotel and it was very noisy. While the new room (on the same floor) was mountain facing and way quieter, it still have the exact same issues. The decor was exactly the same. the level of cleanliness’s was exactly the same. Moldy shower, fixture’s that we barely hanging on... I would definitively NOT recommend a stay here. Uber's are easy in Cape town so find better accommodations.

The V&A Hotel has the best location on the Cape Town waterfront. It is renowned for its service. We stayed in a flloor 1 room. It was spacious and clean, but is looking a little tired compar3d to the loft room we stayed on a prior visit. The air condioning was very noisy, but we got used to it. Unfortunately on one day there was no hot water (the maintenance team were working in the closed down the hall so I assume it was related to that work?). Breakfast on the quayside is great, with the view of the mountain and the seals playing in the dock. We ate dinner once during our stay and I enjoyed the finest seafood curry I've eaten in a long time.

Great stay in Cape Town! Tons of shopping, restaurants and attractions in walking distance and easy to grab Uber/taxi to get any where else. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a gorgeous Mountain View.

I paid for a Mountain View room and received a room overlooking the plaza. A prior review noted the same issue and said the hotel required them to pay more for the room they originally reserved. Since this was the end of a hectic three week trip, I just wanted a room. The plaza side is VERY noisy and sleeping in or early may be difficult. Outside of the room issue, the room was clean with a large bathroom. Hotel is in a great location for walking around the waterfront.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and nothing seems too much trouble. The rooms are very well appointed, moden and comfortable. The free wifi worked well and was reasonably fast for browsing and streaming. The hotel has an excellent restaurant with plenty of choice. Overall, one of the best places to stay on the V&A Waterfront.

3rd time staying here and as great as always. Only slight irritation was my bed was two singles pushed together and the dip in the middle was really uncomfortable. Apart from that, no complaints

Staff broke into my room when I was not inside stole my valuables. Targeted very hidden areas searching for certain items and the management just gave me lip service. In addition my first night the air conditioning didn’t work. I slept in a sweat box. They didn’t move me or offer me any compensation and the next day they gave me a different room…that was it didn’t even buy me a free drink for myterrible evening. Absolutely do not leave anything in your room. If you leave it you wouldn’t expect this from such an allegedly high calibre hotel. Terrible experience. Absolutely do not leave anything in your room.

I stayed there several days two weeks previous. I had a small issue. I was tired suffering jet lag after a 33 hr flight. I complained here on Expedia in frustration. The following day the manager came to my table and was extraordinary. I could not believe it. Issue completely resolved. I was almost embarrassed I brought it up he gave me such complete attention.

At the first day of our stay, we got robbed by the housekeepers!!!!!!!!!! They opened our zipped camera bag and stole our 1000 USD! We called the police but neither hotel manager nor other personel didn’t help us at all. We picked this place because the area is safe, but unfortunately our holiday was ruined. Don’t stay in this hotel.

Excellent Hotel right in central Capetown wharf. Lots of fabulous restaurants located within minutes. Very luxurious and the staff were great. Luci at the Hotel’s concierge desk was fantastic as were Douglas, the front desk staff and the Assistant Manager during the day.

Great location right on the waterfront with plenty of restaurant options. Also very close to attractions do a perfect place to stay and enjoy everything Cape Town has to offer. Great staff and reasonable cost given the location. Rooms are large and have everything you need for a comfortable stay.

I had a view of Table Mountain from my room, I think it’s either that or the harbour. The breakfast was good with views of the harbour, although eating outside could be an issue with the seagulls. The staff were excellent and knew the area well.

This is definitely one of the best hotels on the waterfront and provides great value for the price. The terrace restaurant has excellent food (we had breakfasts, lunches and dinners) at reasonable prices. The room was large and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. We used a guide provided by the hotel for a day of sightseeing and he was excellent. We will definitely return.
