This hotel is in a great walkable location. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is undergoing renovations, so it was also a little noisy because of the construction. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant on site as a result of the construction. There are many restaurants nearby. The hotel staff recommended several great ones.

Great location, very close to stores and restaurants, beach and hop on and off bus stop. Hotel was under construction but wasn’t too bad. Rooms were renovated but some things not done well, like knob of closet coming off. Staff was great, shout out to Thunder, George grace and Lisa.

Fint hotel i område tæt på strand, restauranter og butikker. Dejligt med en lille pool og afslapningsområde på toppen. Værelser kunne godt bruge en opgradering. Føltes som et sikkert sted at bo. Skønt personale med fremragende service.

Ótima localização. Café da manhã - demora em repor copos e xícaras. Elevador principal ficou 2 dias estragado, o elevador de serviço era sujo e não tinha parada no térreo. Não houve orientação do hotel, apenas placa informado estar em manutenção. Deixei no cofre passaporte e dinheiro, ao retornar observei que o cofre estava aberto, olhei por cima parecia estar normal. Ao retornar de viagem, e fazer a conferência do dinheiro notei a ausência de 50 Euros e 100 Reais.

Service and location was great, however the conditions of hotel were not great. I believe Mariott recently purchased this hotel and is still renovating. This may explain why I found it wasn't to Mariott standards/

Séjour génial, idéal pour le tourisme ou le travail. Personnel très chaleureux et professionnel, rien à redire ! Difficile de trouver des défauts à cet hotel, peut être la piscine un peu petite par rapport à ce que suggèrent les photos et les mouettes un peu bruyantes au réveil.

Very clean rooms, kind staff. The spa was disappointing, happy to support women run businesses, but it lacked the same service and was held in very large conference rooms lacking warmth with alot of outdoor noise. I think a trip to a proper spa may be better. Elevator was unfortunately not working for most of our stay, but the clean rooms and kind staff made up for this.

Eine wirklich gute Unterkunft, welchen ich immer wieder empfehlen kann. Das Personal ist insbesondere der Keyfactor hier! Unglaublich herzlich und hilfsbereit! Das Protea sieht im Eingangsbereich wunderschön aus. Die Standardzimmer verlieren jedoch dann an Zauber. Trotzdem sind diese sehr schön sauber und gepflegt gehalten. Die Poolarea ist eigentlich ein extra Plus. Jedoch wurde da nur halbherzig investiert. Es wirkt nicht einladend. Was aber wirklich mega ist, ist die direkte Lage an der Seapoint Promenade!! Einfach mega!

What a gem. Ideally located and with every amenity to make our stay comfortable and care free. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and the beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very tasty. Our only regret is how short our stay was.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and we had a mix feeling. On the positive side, the staff and service during breakfast were outstanding. We enjoyed the food and the friendly people working in the kitchen and serving, the likes of Pearl, Maureen, Sami, Kua.. (I forget her full name, but she works in the kitchen). However, on the downside, I must express our disappointment with the room service. Throughout my stay, I consistently encountered issues such as missing towels, shompoo, water bottle... etc. Regrettably, I found myself having to contact the reception almost every day to request room service. I had hoped that these concerns would be resolved promptly after my initial call, but unfortunately, this was not the case. Additionally, I expressed a desire to change room due to my dissatisfaction with the location, but this request was not fulfilled. The high hotel room fee does not align with the level of service provided. While there were positive aspects, the recurring issues with room service and the unmet room change request left a lasting negative impression on my stay.

We had a very nice stay at this place, it is very well place at Sea Point, walking distance to the beach and to HoponHopoff bus. The hotel was very clean, great breakfast and very nice staff!

After flying for 21 hours we were told the hotel was overbooked and we didn't have a room. Say what??? We had made our reservation 8 plus months in advance, so hard to understand. The good news is we were booked at a sister property, Fire & Ice. Not as nice a location, but we made it work. Lost of day of sightseeing due to having to transfer back to original property. The Front Desk was excellent at arranging our transportation to new property and back again, but change of hotel added unwanted stress to our vacation. The property is older and housekeeping was a little slow in cleaning room. Didn't show up at all on day 1. We had to dump our trash ourselves. The location is excellent, close to 2 grocery stores: Pick N Pay and Checkers. Pick N Pay better value for the money. 1 block from Hop On Hop Off bus stop. Liquor store 1 block away. Several restaurants nearby. 1 block from the beach. Overall, good value for price, but don't expect a fancy room because it is definitely dated.

Staff all very helpful and friendly, remembering breakfast tea preferences without being asked. Lots of advice from front of house and doormen about various places of interest. Room clean, set up as single beds as I was lone traveller, but happy to make it into double as my preference. Bathroom clean, fresh towels every day, could improve shower curtain though to glass side instead. (My only complaint) again personal preference. Two minutes to sea front. Restaurant attached very cheerful, staff singing Happy Birthday to guests and occasional burst of line dancing, all good family friendly fun. I would certainly recommend and return.

Moved to this hotel when we checked out early from a different hotel that was horrible. This hotel was great. Decor is a cool retro vibe. Room is very nice with a very comfortable bed. On the water, but still reasonably close to the CBD in a very nice neighbourhood with lots of dining options. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.

It was shockingly bad. It felt more like a roadside motel. The wifi wasnt working properly. There was noise from the corridor in the middle of the night you can hear eveything from your room To make matters worse the water was ice cold so I was to take a cold shower. There is no number for reception anywhere near the phone the cherry on top was the iron which was scratchy and damaged the fabric of my shirt. The wors stay I have had in over 10 years. Pathetic. It must be the worst Marriott on earth unless this is what has become of the groups standard

This is a highly polished hotel set in a safe area of Cape Town. The staff do glisten in any light. Without exception they are all friendly and attentive - I know because I saw them interacting with other guests and we all experienced their polished service standards. They are well motivated and it shows. Be there to know that each feels part of the team striving to deliver a warm and friendly experience for their guests.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and we had a mix feeling. On the positive side, the staff and service during breakfast were outstanding. We enjoyed the food and the friendly people working in the kitchen and serving, the likes of Pearl, Maureen, Sami, Kua.. (I forget her full name, but she works in the kitchen). However, on the downside, I must express our disappointment with the room service. Throughout my stay, I consistently encountered issues such as missing towels, shompoo, water bottle... etc. Regrettably, I found myself having to contact the reception almost every day to request room service. I had hoped that these concerns would be resolved promptly after my initial call, but unfortunately, this was not the case. Additionally, I expressed a desire to change room due to my dissatisfaction with the location, but this request was not fulfilled. The high hotel room fee does not align with the level of service provided. While there were positive aspects, the recurring issues with room service and the unmet room change request left a lasting negative impression on my stay.

After flying for 21 hours we were told the hotel was overbooked and we didn't have a room. Say what??? We had made our reservation 8 plus months in advance, so hard to understand. The good news is we were booked at a sister property, Fire & Ice. Not as nice a location, but we made it work. Lost of day of sightseeing due to having to transfer back to original property. The Front Desk was excellent at arranging our transportation to new property and back again, but change of hotel added unwanted stress to our vacation. The property is older and housekeeping was a little slow in cleaning room. Didn't show up at all on day 1. We had to dump our trash ourselves. The location is excellent, close to 2 grocery stores: Pick N Pay and Checkers. Pick N Pay better value for the money. 1 block from Hop On Hop Off bus stop. Liquor store 1 block away. Several restaurants nearby. 1 block from the beach. Overall, good value for price, but don't expect a fancy room because it is definitely dated.

So incredibly nice of the reception that when we arrived in the morning at the hotel they made sure that our room was prioritized for check-in which meant that we could check in before lunch. All staff were very service oriented and always friendly. I can highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Moved to this hotel when we checked out early from a different hotel that was horrible. This hotel was great. Decor is a cool retro vibe. Room is very nice with a very comfortable bed. On the water, but still reasonably close to the CBD in a very nice neighbourhood with lots of dining options. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.

This hotel is in a great walkable location. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is undergoing renovations, so it was also a little noisy because of the construction. Great location, very close to stores and restaurants, beach and hop on and off bus stop. Hotel was under construction but wasn’t too bad. Rooms were renovated but some things not done well, like knob of closet coming off. Staff was great, shout out to Thunder, George grace and Lisa.

Ótima localização. Café da manhã - demora em repor copos e xícaras. Elevador principal ficou 2 dias estragado, o elevador de serviço era sujo e não tinha parada no térreo. Não houve orientação do hotel, apenas placa informado estar em manutenção. Deixei no cofre passaporte e dinheiro, ao retornar observei que o cofre estava aberto, olhei por cima parecia estar normal. Ao retornar de viagem, e fazer a conferência do dinheiro notei a ausência de 50 Euros e 100 Reais.

Staff all very helpful and friendly, remembering breakfast tea preferences without being asked. Lots of advice from front of house and doormen about various places of interest. Room clean, set up as single beds as I was lone traveller, but happy to make it into double as my preference. Bathroom clean, fresh towels every day, could improve shower curtain though to glass side instead. (My only complaint) again personal preference. Two minutes to sea front. Restaurant attached very cheerful, staff singing Happy Birthday to guests and occasional burst of line dancing, all good family friendly fun. I would certainly recommend and return.

What a gem. Ideally located and with every amenity to make our stay comfortable and care free. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and the beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very tasty. Our only regret is how short our stay was.
