Staffs are ready to help from reception through to room maintenance. Club room comes with added facilities such as happy hour, any time beverages, etc which is a worthwhile addition. We didn’t use all the facilities available. The hotel is spotless clean. We were treated with foot bath to relax our feet and body. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We loved the Taj Coromandel. The staff were so amazingly friendly and this was consistent with every single person we met there. The bedrooms are absolutely lovely. We would definitely come back to this hotel and were very sorry when we had to leave. It's also very convenient for lots of lovely restaurants. There aren't many bars in Chennai but the bar in the hotel is really nice. Our one criticism is that later in the evening the music was just too loud in the bar, you couldn't actually talk to each other. But that was a very small point given what an amazing stay we had there

We had a great stay at this 5 star hotel and I can confidently give it a 5 star review. The lobby is attractive and impressive, the staff is plentiful, kind, and helpful across the property, the hotel decor is lovely and locally-inspired, the pool and area around it are really nice (and I appreciate the board listing pool temperature, pH, chlorine level), and the room was quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet was superb and staff member Santosh stands out. He was kind enough to satisfy my request of a masala chai with soymilk, the first person to do so during my month in south India. I very much appreciate him and the Taj Coromandel. The welcome and departure gifts are a nice touch.

Really good. I stayed here a few years ago and wasn't so impressed but as I got such a good rate (ridiculously cheap by European prices!) I decided to try it again. Seemed to be way better. It feels like they renovated the pool area and spa and room and bed felt way better. Super comfortable bed (way better than Leela Palace), very quiet, great pool, surrounded by beautiful trees (hard to believe in the centre of a bustling city) and spotless spa. Good enough breakfast (but not great compared to other five stars in Chennai, with more limited hot food choice and very cramped at the serving area). Fresh omlette was nice and coffee good. Nice foyer and terrific check-in staff (all staff were great, at spa / pool also). Facilitated a late check-out, as we were very delayed on arrival, without hesitation. Much appreciated. Definitely recommend.

Used to be great property and get treated like royalty. Unfortunately, things have changed. The check in staff were tired. No offer of drinks. No perks or room upgrades. The room was clean. The beds were horrible. Sagging at one side due to excessive use. Breakfast was amazing and staff were really nice. Too many staff with very little effort to please the guest. I almost had to open the door myself every time while the security would stand and chat. There was no real pool staff and the area around was wet. Chennai now has a lot of other options with real five star service!

I stay here multiple times and it never disappoints. Central location but still away from busy and noisy areas. Service and food is consistent throughout the years. The best hotel in this area after trying many other hotels. Special mention to Paranthaman and Rajiv Gandhi from housekeeping who always my room is clean and comfortable. I had some issues this time when checking in and the housekeeping manager immediately rectified it and followed up through my stay. Service is unmatched. I will always return here.

Taj Coromandel stay was excellent and we were treated as royalty. The room was great, clean and well presented. The staff was one of the best we have ever seen. They were courteous, always willing to address any concern or accomodate any of our requests, which they were under no obligation to do so. We would strongly recommend this hotel for not just the stay but also for their excellent restaurants available in the hotel.

If you want top notch service, look no further!!! This is as good as it gets folks. The staff is attentive, so polite, and they get things done! During our trip to India our family stayed at the Taj coromandel for half the time and at itc for the other half. Taj exceeded in every single parameter except for the size of the room (which we totally get). If not for the space constraint, we will choose the taj every single time!
If you want top notch service, look no further!!! This is as good as it gets folks. The staff is attentive, so polite, and they get things done! During our trip to India our family stayed at the Taj coromandel for half the time and at itc for the other half. Great, welcoming staff - without exception, every single staff member we encountered was happy, smiley, and welcoming. For a Club Room, thought the room was nice, if perhaps a little dated. Really comfy bed and well equipped bathroom, nice extras such as the foot bath, quality amenities, great bath robes and bath towels. Everything changed daily when required. Now the niggles, fridge not working (had to be replaced by a slightly noisy stand alone), noisy air con (yes I could have reported it and perhaps changed rooms but half way through our stay, this wasn't an option), not a great view from the window. Breakfast options aren't great - nice but not stand out. Club Lounge dress code - have it, or don't! Overall a pleasant enough stay but perhaps next time in Chennai we would look elsewhere.

But some photos don’t represent current state of hotel, like around pool area, which is shabby. Breakfast not great by Chennai 5 star hotel standards. Took ages to get a very mediocre cappuchino. Tried to charge me for one night at checkout even though confirmed at check in that all paid for on Hotels.com. Still had to show booking again and wait for some phone calls to be made. No apology given for the unnecessary wait or mistake. Bit disappointing.

This has to be the best stay I had ever! Staff was very accomodating. They were very helpful in extending my checkout time when I got stuck elsewhere. After checkout, I forgot a pair of pants in my room. They mailed my pants back to me. No other place go to this extend for customer care. Wah Taj!

Let me start with the welcome. Every staff member at the door was welcoming, always looking out for our convenience especially Loganathan and Vijayaraj. Their smile always made our day. The staff at the reception were very cordial and helpful at all times. The breakfast was exceptional. The food was fresh and had a good variety. I have to mention some of the best people I have met in my life who were always pleasant and served us with a warm smile. Mr.Prakash the chef who took the time to give us the best dosas and Mr. Kuppuswamy whose filter coffee and service , you cannot find anywhere in the world. The entire team of Mr. John were awesome. The staff at the Southern Spice restaurant were also very welcoming and made our time enjoyable. Altogether our time at the Taj Coramandel was unforgettable and the best time ever!

I stay here multiple times and it never disappoints. Central location but still away from busy and noisy areas. Service and food is consistent throughout the years. The best hotel in this area after trying many other hotels. Special mention to Paranthaman and Rajiv Gandhi from housekeeping who always my room is clean and comfortable. I had some issues this time when checking in and the housekeeping manager immediately rectified it and followed up through my stay. Service is unmatched. I will always return here.

Excellent service as always. This is my fourth stay and Taj has not disappointed me. The courtesy shown by the forecourt staff Ilayaraja, Loganathan and Ishwar was wonderful. Check in and check out staff like Amit, Sruti, Currie, Jocelyn amongst others were exemplary. Nothing was too much for them. Govind and Satish in the gym and Kuppuswamy in breakfast stood out. The room was spacious and the amenities were great. I cannot stop praising their service.

Really good. I stayed here a few years ago and wasn't so impressed but as I got such a good rate (ridiculously cheap by European prices!) I decided to try it again. Seemed to be way better. It feels like they renovated the pool area and spa and room and bed felt way better. Super comfortable bed (way better than Leela Palace), very quiet, great pool, surrounded by beautiful trees (hard to believe in the centre of a bustling city) and spotless spa. Good enough breakfast (but not great compared to other five stars in Chennai, with more limited hot food choice and very cramped at the serving area). Fresh omlette was nice and coffee good. Nice foyer and terrific check-in staff (all staff were great, at spa / pool also). Facilitated a late check-out, as we were very delayed on arrival, without hesitation. Much appreciated. Definitely recommend.

Used to be great property and get treated like royalty. Unfortunately, things have changed. The check in staff were tired. No offer of drinks. No perks or room upgrades. The room was clean. The beds were horrible. Sagging at one side due to excessive use. Breakfast was amazing and staff were really nice. Too many staff with very little effort to please the guest. I almost had to open the door myself every time while the security would stand and chat. There was no real pool staff and the area around was wet. Chennai now has a lot of other options with real five star service!

I recently stayed at Taj Coromandel and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their warmth and willingness to assist in every possible way. We did encounter a small hiccup with the airport pickup, as a smaller car was sent, which led to a bit of a squeeze for the family. However, the rest of our stay more than made up for this. The team went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and when I requested a six-hour extended checkout, they happily accommodated, which made our departure much easier. Special mention goes to the travel desk, who efficiently arranged for a car to help us explore the city – it was a fantastic way to experience the local area. Overall, the stay was exceptional. The staff's dedication and attention to detail left a lasting impression, and I would be delighted to return to Taj Coromandel in the future.

We loved the Taj Coromandel. The staff were so amazingly friendly and this was consistent with every single person we met there. The bedrooms are absolutely lovely. We would definitely come back to this hotel and were very sorry when we had to leave. It's also very convenient for lots of lovely restaurants. There aren't many bars in Chennai but the bar in the hotel is really nice. Our one criticism is that later in the evening the music was just too loud in the bar, you couldn't actually talk to each other. But that was a very small point given what an amazing stay we had there

This is an amazing hotel. I have stayed here two other times and I keep coming back here only because they provide excellent service, great dining options and they make you feel at home. Thanks to an amazing staff - Mr. Subbu, Mr. Kuppuswamy at Anise restaurant, Jasmine - customer service, Mr. Venkat & Saravanan at the concierge, Mr. Dayalan at the Anise restaurant and Palani at the Bakery are Rock Stars at the Taj hotel. These guys went out of their way to accommodate my requests and made my stay very comfortable. These are very special staff who work very hard and make you feel like a VIP. Thanks to few more people - John, Ramana, Jessica, Moumitha who also made my stay at Taj comfortable.

We had a great stay at this 5 star hotel and I can confidently give it a 5 star review. The lobby is attractive and impressive, the staff is plentiful, kind, and helpful across the property, the hotel decor is lovely and locally-inspired, the pool and area around it are really nice (and I appreciate the board listing pool temperature, pH, chlorine level), and the room was quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet was superb and staff member Santosh stands out. He was kind enough to satisfy my request of a masala chai with soymilk, the first person to do so during my month in south India. I very much appreciate him and the Taj Coromandel. The welcome and departure gifts are a nice touch.
