Great location and hotel. The only thing that let down the stay was smoking in the pool and the surrounding areas of pool. Not everyone is a smoker, this ruins the fun of the pool. Plus no place to sit in reception, there is a cafe but you have to order if you want to sit there.

Stock hat man einen guten Blick auf den Burj Khalifa. Tolles Hotel wenn man Dubai das erste mal erkundet und nicht einen reinen Pool oder Strandurlaub machen möchte.

From the moment we arrived in Shangri-La Dubai it was such a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Our one bedroom suite gave us spectacular sunset views but was quiet and very comfortable. The beds were wonderfully soft and after a day of sightseeing / shopping it was the most relaxing place to come back to. I would definitely recommend booking the Horizon Lounge package as it was absolutely worth it - the entire Horizon Club team went above and beyond to make our stay special and a big extra thank you should out goes to Erika, Janeth and Kloderam!!! Pools were great, the access to the indoor pool was amazing - we went at night and the lights made it more serene. Hotel choice of food was amazing and every meal felt like a treat. We took advantage of the shuttle bus to Dubai Mall which was great in the heat although taxis do arrive within minutes and you are central to all places. For unbeatable views, comfort, great dining and genuinely warm service in th heart of Dubai - Shangri-La delivers!! Thank you am sure we will be visiting again

The service at the Shangri’la is amazing. The staff gave us great service, from check in to check out, it was all great. The housekeeping staff really do go the extra mile, we found that the room was very clean, stocked, and if anything was needed even in the late hours- everybody is willing to help. A special thank you also to the wonderful doormen, who were always so kind and willing to help with luggage and taxi services. The room itself was great, we had a sea view room located on the 38th floor. The views were fabulous and it was very spacious. The room had plenty of storage and the housekeeping kept everything stocked throughout, even went the extra mile and popped in one evening to offer us some complimentary roses. The pillow menu is a great touch. Everybody is willing to help with anything regarding the room even in the late hours. The pool itself was great with a wonderful view of the Burj Khalifa. The towels and sun beds are comfortable. The staff was very attentive and very cheerful. Sunday was quite busy with a short wait for a sunbed, but the rest of the stay was quiet and it was quick to get a sunbed even at 12pm. The gym area is clean, stocked with towels, infused water and fruit. Not particularly busy so we didn’t struggle to use any of it. Thank you for making our stay special.

This is one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in. The room was well-appointed with excellent views, and top-notch upkeep by the cleaning staff. The morning breakfast was delicious and offered great variety. I especially loved the fresh-squeezed orange juice machine. The infinity pool is really nice as you can swim and view the Burj Khalifa at the same time, and the lounge upstairs offered great snacks and drinks. The location has many restaurants nearby and is fairly close to the Dubai mall and Burj Kalifa. What really made the experience special were the hotel staff who made us feel like rock stars each and every day. I have never encountered this level of service at any hotel I have ever stayed at and my wife and I felt as if we were among friends when talking with anyone there. You are greeted with a friendly smile and a genuine desire to make you feel comfortable. I want to give a special shout out to the van driver Hanif , the front door staff: Yassar, Waqas, Khodaram, and the counter staff: Nerie and Sharon. My wife has stayed at many Shangri-La hotels, but she said this is by far the best one. It’s the feeling of a place that makes it most memorable and we will take with us many warm memories of the Shangri-La in Dubai!

My stay at the Shangri-La Dubai was truly exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful, but what really sets it apart is the incredible staff. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and always went above and beyond to make sure every need was taken care of. I want to give special recognition to Khodarahm, the doorman. He greeted me warmly every day, always helped me get a taxi, and even made sure to speak with the drivers so I arrived safely at my destination. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made such a difference in my stay. Khodarahm truly represents the spirit of Shangri-La hospitality, and I am so grateful for his help. I highly recommend Shangri-La Dubai not only for its luxury and comfort, but for the outstanding service provided by staff like Khodarahm. I will definitely return on my next visit to Dubai! The hotel is very nice and staff very helpful. Our room was very clean with nice view on 32 floor. We rented a car and the parking was very easy with the valet. Pool area nice and cozy. When we went there werent too many people but if this ppaxe gets packed, i think the pool size will be too small. Food is really good in all restaurants including dine in. A bit on the pricey side so if you're on a budget, best to explore the eateries just outside the hotel. Overall its a great place to stay. Very close to all the sites to see. Helpful tip. If you choose to drive. Use the Waze app and not google map. Google map is terrible here. Lots of lanes and overpasses. We got lost many times with google. Someone suggested Waze and it was night and day. We went around with ease after that.

staff was careful and excellent service was provided. regarding the room, i was situated on the 40th floor which is almost at the top, but i had troubles with the traffic from the nearby highway which had lots of noise and people revving their engines in loud cars, which made it difficult to fall asleep without earplugs. I also expected a better layout, it felt very claustrophobic due to poor use of the space, the decorations are very 70's ish and feel out of style. i was happy to see cleanliness of the room was a guaranteed feature in these premises, and the cleaning staff was very careful with my belongings and efficient. an aspect i really did not appreciate was that the whole floor reeked of cigarette and cold tobacco, which the hotel responds to by using perfume deodorants instead of odor removers. I am non-smoker and have a sensitive sense of smell so I did not like that. maybe put the smokers on the same floors instead of mixing. i did not use the amenities much (pool, restaurants etc.) but the breakfast was good, with rotating daily specials so its not always the same which is a plus. i also had troubles with the wifi connection which i needed for work but it was promptly fixed and i did not face any further problems regarding that issue. overall, a great experience and conveniently placed near city center, alas i expected better from a 5 star hotel, which justifies my rating of 3 stars out of 5.

Overall nice, facilities are a bit dated. There was water damage in the bathroom, sink leaked on our clothes and the light switches are a nightmare. Pool could do with a bit of an update too other. They did a Christmas BBQ which was excellent and the staff and chef were very friendly. Staff are good, bar prices are stupidly high and the place needs some TLC. All in all okay but better places to stay in Dubai for the same money.

The hotel is conveniently located near downtown Dubai and we got free upgrade to a room with Burj Khalifa view which was fantastic. The room was beautiful, clean and quiet. Absolutely wonderful hotel. We booked a Horizon club room. Well worth the booking. The room was massive and beautifully designed with great views of the Burg. What made the whole stay so memorable were the staff who were professional, kind, helpful and just lovely to be around, especially the team on level 41. They are stars!

A group of 16 of us traveled for a birthday and we chose Shangri La primarily for the epic views especially of the Burj Khalifa. It was a smooth checkin, staff/service was impeccable! Poolside was a vibe, we all had a spa day and the massage had me drooling, literally. I ended purchasing products I really liked after my facial. I overslept for my flight and booked the next one for the morning, the staff personally came to my door to wake me up so I wouldn’t miss my next one. In addition to a wake up call lol might I add. I would stay here again and again and again 10/10. I was the last of the birthday group to leave so and I felt safe and the staff took my well being seriously. Highly recommend!!

We had planned to celebrate our anniversary in Dubai and were very much looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately, due to unexpected flight disruptions beyond our control, we were forced to reschedule our trip.We contacted the hotel promptly to explain the situation and request some flexibility; however, our request for a refund or any form of accommodation was declined without consideration. While we understand that policies are in place, the complete lack of empathy or willingness to offer a reasonable solution was disappointing. The staff was amazing, especially the gentlemen who work at the door and the crew that served breakfast at the 41st floor lounge (highly recommend the breakfast upgrade) Rooms were large, nice, and well kept. Outdoor pool area was very nice as well. Would definitely recommend. High 4 star to 5 star property.

- Worst reservations agents / team I have ever dealt with at a high end hotel. - Hotel staff, however, were nice and helpful during our stay. The duty manager was super kind and upgraded my room to a suite at check-in which I really appreciated. - Hotel quality: dated rooms / standards and was expecting much higher quality rooms for a hotel of this stature. - Price: I stayed in other hotels which provided a better ‘hard product’ i.e room furniture / decor / hotel standards and quality for the same price so - it definitely looks dated and crying for a refurbishment. This is a fantastic hotel in a great location with clear view of the Burj Khalifa. Transportation is easy with metro stop nearby and taxi/ride-share vehicles alway nearby as well. The service is impeccable and there are plenty of amenities. Me and my wife loved our stay and would stay there again in the future.

Everything was great until they charged me for three people’s breakfast buffet for a day that I did not utilize the buffet. I never signed up for a three day package and was not told I would be charged whether I would dine in or not. The manager, who replied to my Dispute stated the package price given to me was because I signed up for three days which I did not. I am now disputing this with my bank now. Completely ruined the end of a great trip and stay.

Hotel ist zwar in die Jahre gekommen (Teppich) war jedoch sehr sauber. Das Personal extrem freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr vielseitig. Von der Poolanlage mit Poolbar und Jacuzzi im 4. Stock hat man einen guten Blick auf den Burj Khalifa. Tolles Hotel wenn man Dubai das erste mal erkundet und nicht einen reinen Pool oder Strandurlaub machen möchte.

I liked everything except for one day they said it was happy hour all I wanted was soda and orange juice cause we don’t drink . Basically we were rejected even though I told them my room number then they were like it’s ok for today will give it to you but that was so embarrassing I said no never mind let’s leave . I was told drinks , sodas juices all day and that’s why we only went for breakfast

Absolutely fabulous hotel. I was there for business and the staff were all incredible. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was beautiful and also had amazing selection for breakfast. Special mention to Soad and the concierge team!

Rooms were very clean and views were enjoyable. Breakfast buffet was good with plenty of options. The Hoi An restaurant service and food was just mediocre. We could smell the smoke coming from the adjacent bar which was awful while we were trying to eat.

This is a Fantastic hotel and the service staff are exceptional. breakfast is excellent! It’s walking distance to metro, restaurant and local shops, 5-10 mins from burj and Dubai mall.

Very lovely staff. However, in one of the restaurants the soup served had worms in it. We were comped a meal in another restaurant as a result, but this was a serious issue. We were also charged twice for using the minibar and had to point this out to the hotel.

Felt like family. I was greeted right away when disembarking my taxi. The staff remembered me from my visit 3 months ago. I reserved an executive room and received an upgrade to a an executive bedroom suite which was amazing. Very large, an espresso machine with good Nespresso capsules, very comfortable bed and a bathroom with a big bath, comfortable shower and every amenity you can think of. The breakfast buffet was very rich. The WIFI worked great. I liked the executive lounge and the happy hour offering. Highly recommended!
