This is a renovated hotel with modern amenities in a GREAT location across from the Pta. Atocha train station with Cercanias and Renfe train service, and Metro stops nearby. Great to use as your hub for trips around the city. The single room I had was small but more than adequate for my stay. I highly recommend it for the price. One can do without a gym, in-hotel dining or hotel brand soaps and shampoo. Bring your own mesh sponge and you will be fine

The hotel near Atocha train station. Line 1 metro station Estacion del Arte entrance near the hotel gate, but no lift, only one minute on foot The hotel with lift, good for traveller with heavy luggage. Room is small but clean

Rooms are not large, but enough for a short stay. Service is polite and responsive. Location is great. No ramps for rolling your bag, which I found weird. They’re renovating, so I guess they’ll take care of it.

I arrived early and reception went out of their way to clean my room early so I could check-in. They also stored my luggage until it was done. Plus, since the Madrid marathon was operating that weekend, they had no single rooms left and upgraded for no extra cost! Room was spotlessly clean and you can't beat the location.

My single room was basic but adequate and clean. Storage for luggage and/or lounge if early for check-in. Even though close to the Atocha train station, the area is beautiful and safe. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that if I don’t require a daily change of sheets, I then need a double set of towels. So close to the great museums!

A good mid price hotel conveniently near the main station (Atocha) and the big three art galleries plus the famous park. Four lifts all in working order. I had a little balcony with a super view. Breakfast was quite cheap by continental standards (e12) but nothing special. (However coffee from the machine in Reception was cheap and flavoursome.) Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a very beautifully renovated old hotel. The rooms are clean, quiet, large, with excellent air conditioning. The area is excellent for walking around seeing many sites and eating at restaurants and bakeries. The train station is across the street for convenience.

|Overall our stay was good. However when we checked out in the morning, we noticed that the bed was full of ants. Not just 1 or 2, but enough to see loads of them all over the bed. We informed the front desk on our check-out.

El hotel está a 200 mts de la estación Atocha. Es un hotel antiguo con las habitaciones remodeladas. La habitación es súper cómoda y el baño muy bueno y amplio. Mejoraría las almohadas. El personal de la recepción es excepcionalmente bueno. Llegar a Madrid y que te reciban personas así es un bálsamo para el cansancio. Muchas gracias.

The room was very clean and Location was very convenient, but the standard twin room assigned to us was on floor 1 just with one thin tall window facing to walls, no sunlight at all. The window was close to some drainage pipes and always heard waterfall music inside the pipes. I was expecting a better room like the pictures I saw on hotels.com.

Booked 2 rooms for a stay of 6 persons. Was clean and comfortable as expected from such a hotel. Location is very convenient. One thing - in one of the rooms (which had 4 beds), there were only 2 free electrical outlets. In this day and age where everyone needs to charge their phone every night, there should be an outlet next to each bed. To get a third outlet, need to unplug the fridge (that we didn't use). In the other room there were at least 3 outlets)

Front desk was very rude. Did not acknowledge me during the check in process for several minutes and I was standing right in front of him! Room was very basic and dated. Good location right next to the train station which is why I booked the hotel since we had a late arrival via train into Madrid.

The front desk has a very poor customer service. Like they do not know what they are doing upon our check in. They seem very unprofessional. There is only one person that I can give a 5 star for customer service, Julio. He was assisting but not a front desk employee. But he was very helpful, kind and polite. Julio deserves a promotion to do the front desk job. The hotel room is very comfortable with good AC, great location for museums, parks, train station and shops. The front desk people needs a customer service training.

The main station is just across the road. Two reception gentlemen were very responsible and helpful. The room condition is better than my expectation. It’s quiet at night. WiFi is excellent. It must be the top of its class. Highly recommend.

I only had a brief stay at Hotel Mediodia, but it was perfect for what I needed. Very convenient to everything, right across from Atocha, and near the Reina Sofia museum and Retiro Park. I also have to say, the staff were very nice and helpful, and the bedding was exceptionally comfortable. There are always taxis right in front of the hotel if you need one.

Hotel Mediodia is conveniently located. Atocha station is right across it and Reina Sofia Museum is right behind it. A short walk to the Prado and to the Retiro. A short cab ride to airport and other train station. But a bit expensive, even after the renovations, rooms are only so so.

Quarto antigo e passando por modernização. Cortinas na banheira dão uma impressão de hotel ultrapassado. Café da manhã precisaria ter mais opções de pães, cream cheese. As mesas do restaurante estão tão próximos que é impossível circular entre as mesas para se sentar. Mesas mais estreitas e menos mesas favoreceria a circulacao de pessoas. Um Elevador quebrou. Toalhas de banho estão muito desgastadas. Pessoas ficam vendendo produtos contrabandeados na porta de entrada do hotel à noite.
