This is a nice property if you want to be close to Salamanca neighborhood and the park. The rooms have a nice amenities pack and have a nice shower with strong water pressure. The rooftop bar is a nice bonus with a small pool.

I've stayed at various H10 hotels and I've stayed at this one in the past and it was always a good experience. However, after my most recent experience I will not be staying at H10 hotels again. The reason I booked this hotel was for the pool and sunbeds, however, be warned, if this is your aim stay elsewhere. There are 6 sunbeds and they are bookable for one hour slots, so you could be lying there and somebody moves you on and you need to go into the room. If you do book the sunbeds you can only book one hour. This hotel should not have a solarium as the system is a disaster. Never again.

The staff here are absolutely amazing and incredibly helpful. They seriously are by far the vest part of this place. The downside is our room had issues with the closet door being broken, the balcony door not functioning well and self-closing. There was also advertised parking, but it is for just 10 cars for a hotel at least a hundred rooms- to me, that's pretty bad and shouldn't even be mentioned if it is that proportionally low.

Excellent location, particularly if you want to enjoy the El Retiro Park. Beautiful roof top bar. But don’t think there is a proper roof top pool. It’s more like a plunge pool (and it was quite cold - though not impossibly cold). On busy days it’s best to book a chaise lounge (which you would only get for an hour if there are many guests requesting one). But I don’t go to Madrid to suntan. So for me, it was an excellent hotel. Beds were very comfortable. Room was cool as in elegant and the in-room coffee machine and coffee very good. Breakfast is quite good as well.

Magníficamente ubicado frente al Parque del Retiro y la Puerta de Alcalá, con un Roof Top con una maravillosa vista. Habitaciones recién renovadas, muy cómodas. En recepción, me impactó la muy profesional atención de JAVIER. Su simpatía, amabilidad, y vocación de servicio: Nos resolvió una situación que facilitó nuestro tour a Egipto mientras regresábamos nuevamente a Madrid. Nunca lo olvidaré. The location is a little out of the way. It is close to major park. There is a lack of lounging area. The lower level has limited seating. Primarily for people checking in and out. Upper level has some seating however it’s mostly for people who want to order from the bar food or drinks. There is nowhere just to lounge. The rooms are spacious and amenities are good. Comfortable beds and rooms are kept immaculate. The cleaning staff are fantastic.

This is a 3 star hotel at best. I do not recommend it and will not stay here again. The lobby is as good as it gets. Great first impression. But once you get to your room, the space is tiny and not thoroughly clean. Dated and lacking polish. Overall, the furniture and decor should be updated. The bathrooms should also be cleaned better between guests.

While the room was clean, one side of the mattress had a severe slope to it. Being a king size bed, I just moved over but the size of the bed left less than two feet between the bed and the wall. Obviously, this room (and possibly others) was designed for a queen size bed. Sure hope no one else has to sleep on that mattress. Breakfasts were the highpoint of the stay, although the staff was trained for speed, not deference to the guests walking and carrying food...

This was not a 4 star hotel. The room was so small we couldn’t open our luggage. Very uncomfortable accommodations and deteriorating conditions as well. The bedroom and the bathroom needs fixing on different areas that were broken and unwell

Séjour décevant. Nous avions une chambre avec terrasse au 7eme étage donc sous le rooftop : bruit insupportable jusque tard le soir. Nous sommes allés deux fois a la réception et rien n'a été fait, aucune solution ne nous a été proposés. Pour un hôtel 4 etoiles et au prix de la nuitée ce n'est pas acceptable. Point positif : la literie est exceptionnelle.

El cuarto 710, terriblemente ruidoso, está enfrente de la puerta de servicio y abastecimiento del personal del hotel y hacen muchísimo ruido desde muy temprano por lo que es imposible dormir, se pidió late check out diciendo que no habíamos podido dormir y solo nos lo dieron hasta las 3 pm, explicamos que nuestro vuelo salir en la noche y necesitábamos descansar. La terraza muy linda vale la pena y el servicio muy bueno.

Staff were nice rooms were clean and well maintained, espresso is provided in the room. Wish the room was bigger for a 3 person reservation. This area is quiet because it's 20 mins from plaza mayor, ideal if you want to stay in a less busy area but quite inconvenient if you want to be in the center most of the time.

The night my daughter stayed with us , The room was too small for three!!!! I know that it stated a suite but we were too uncomfortable. The room was great though ! The people in the front desk were wonderful and very helpful! The breakfast was delicious and the rooftop bar was very good!

This is the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in and the AC did not work. It was 29 degrees in the room until staff was called at 3am to fix it. Took 5 minutes in the elevator to find breakfast on floor something.

Electricity keeps on turning off. Twice when i was in the shower! I almost slipped getting off from the shower and all the hotel can say is that they can offer me 15% off in my next visit. I live in CA and we dont have H10 hotels. Super terrible customer service

Quick overnight stay and wish we had more time to stay longer. Check-in process for 3 guest rooms was smooth. Offered glass of sparkling wine & staff took our family photo in the lobby. Clean, quiet, well-appointed room and bathroom. Will stay here again. Walkable to Parque de Retiro and restaurants in Alcalá and Salamanca barrios.

Horrible hotel, the staff is rude and disrespectful. One outrageous example was when two unsolicited maintenance men entered my room without my prior consent when my daughter was undressed. The room was not ready at 2pm at the time of the check-in, there is no one to help with the luggage and, even though I booked a room with a queen bed, my room had two twin beds.

This is THE best hotel I have stayed at. The attention to detail that the staff provides is unmatched. During check in I asked about a crib being brought up and Eva assured me that one would be brought up without any issues or hesitation, me and Eva talked about the reason for our trip and I mentioned I was celebrating my 30th bday. Once we got to our room the cleanliness, ample space, and view of the city left us feeling happy about our hotel choice. Before heading out for some sight seeing a crib was brought up, with an extra towel, little stuffed animal, and body wash for babies, this small act really shows how about and beyond they go. When we returned back to the room we were met with a bottle of champagne and chocolate cake and a sign that said Happy Birthday! I was beyond surprised and blown away by this gesture. During our stay we visited the bar twice, and both times Alonso provided exceptional service. Not only were the drinks and appetizers amazing, his ability to build rapport and remembering us the second time we went really went a long way. I would stay here over and over again

I’ve never had a bad experience at an H10 property! Staff at H10 Puerta de Alcalá were outstanding, friendly and helpful. Mentioned a minor problem with the shower leaking to housekeeping and within 10 minutes there was someone there to check it out.

The service was not the best. Whenever I asked for something the answer was never yes. I.e can I have a pie of scissors? They said come get them at the lobby. I asked for a shot of lime juice for my water, they refused since the juice was already in a squeeze bottle (so?). As soon as I arriba from an early morning flight, they put me in a room with the one next door getting the entire bathroom fixed. There was banging and hammering constantly. I had to wait to get a room change before I could rest. When I stepped out to put my dad in the taxi, the front desk guy comes chasing me telling me I couldn’t leave without paying in a very rude way. I could go on but I think you get the gist.

La noche anterior al check-out, un supuesto empleado del hotel nos tocó la puerta, con el letrero "no molestar" y nos dijo que venía a arreglar el acondicionador de aire. Al otro día nos dimos cuenta de que se había robado mi reloj y el de mi esposo. Siento que no hay mucha seguridad en ese hotel. El personal del hotel se mostró muy preocupado por lo ocurrido e iban a verificar por las cámaras.

Everything about our stay was effortless. We were able to check in to our room early after an early arrival, staff was super helpful, and room was modern, clean, and so comfortable. Such a stylish vibe throughout too. Will definitely stay again if we find ourselves in Madrid.

Highly recommend this hotel if you like to be near Madrid center but in the center . It’s location next to Retiro park is ideal for Walks in the park . Like a 20 min Walk to main attractions and museums . Bonus was a wonderful rooftop bar and restaurant. Loved the sunsets from there !

Location was excellent. At the tip of the park and close to train and bus transportation. Staff gratiously accommodated us with an early check-in (flight arrived early morning) and even though room faced the street and was on low floor, street noise was minimal because of (fairly) new windows. Didn't use hotel dining or bar, but the roof-top was lovely great views and photography. Plenty of restaurants in the area and French bakery with great coffee and pastries was one block away. I don't usually write reviews, but would highly recommend H10 Puerta de Alcala.

The rooftop bar was amazing!! Staff very helpful and accommodating. We loved the view! The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. The location is excellent and very walkable. Close to the Metro, the Hop on/Hop off Bus, a beautiful park and a number of very good restaurants. We were careful but always felt safe. Our room was very small. Just the basics for sure. Housekeeping did a very nice job.
