Friendly staff, clean room, firm bed (perfect for me, too firm for my roommate) amazing showerhead! Close to a metro station and Retiro park. Good breakfast with excellent variety. Lost 1 star as some of the items looked as if they'd been out for a while, and there was no gym.

Its nice hotel, great helpful staff specially Christina!🙏 a few feet away from subway, bus and grocery. Mostly remodeled and clean. We got this hotel last minute since our Airb&b was not as expected. So we booked this hotel 30 min before checking in. They had to switch our room to get us a double bed after the first night. First room was perfect exept it has two twin bed. Second night we went to another room with double bed, hiw ever this room was not yet remodeled and had some minor cosmetics with the caulking on the bath tube and floor tiles. But overall nice, clean and convenient. Its worth the price, just ask for complete remodeled room.

Camas y almohadas comodas. El desayuno es frio, solamente fiambres y cafe, no hay huevo o comida preparada, no recomendable. Buena ubicacion, enfrente hay un supermercado , y puedes llegar en autobus a Atocha por $1.50 euros. El Wifi es pesimo, lento y con pobre alcance, tuve que cambiar de habitacion para poder tener el servicio. La limpieza es terrible, podiamos ver las pelusas de polvo (foto anexa). La tina de bano es resbalosa, aunque tiene un asa para sostenerse. No hay espejo de cuerpo completo. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba, tuvimos que abrir ventanas para refrescar la habitacion. No reponen los jabones y shampoos, tuvimos que ir varias veces a recepcion a que nos dieran nuevos. Las llaves de acceso a la habitacion son anticuadas, de banda magnetica, dejaron de funcionar un par de vecs y tuverin que reprogramarlas.

Fint hotell. Hyggelige ansatte. Vi hadde et familierom ut mot en bakgård. Helt stille og rolig. På fremsiden er det nok mer bråk fra trafikk. Veldig god frokost med mindre du kommer litt sent. Da var det meste tomt/tørt. Rommet var fint, men noe slitt. Sprekker og løs tapet noen steder. Vi våknet en dag med endel Faraomaur på gulvet, så pass på hva du får med i bagasjen hjem.

It was really hot here. We woke up in the middle of the night and the room was 24 degrees (76F) and we couldn’t turn off the heat. Later it was 27 (80F), so we had to open a window. The heat affected our sleep.

Awesome Hotel in Madrid. Very pleasant stay we had for 4 days. Staff was great, from the check in to the end check out. Excellent breakfast with awesome staff. Cleaness of the rooms, room service was great daily. Everything was excellent except the air conditioning - we couldn’t have control of it except on and off. It was a bit annoying blowing right on you during the night - the way vents were installed. Other than that - we had a very good experience in this hotel thought out 4 days. Thank you Catalonia front desk and back staff.

The hotel is located a good 15-20 min from Madrid city center and while it’s convenient to bus and rail it is far and traffic is tedious. The room was clean and staff was very attentive however the rooms do not have carpet which means you hear every single piece of luggage and furniture that is moved around. For that reason I deducted 2 stars. Also the AC is off in the entire building due to fall/ winter and that makes the rooms unbearably warm luckily you can open the window for air to come in.

Stayed for one night. Room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet because the room window faced toward an inner courtyard (enclosed by the building). Maybe this is why the internet was slow. Location was fine - 4-5 streets from a metro station. Short walking distance to restaurants. I would stay again, and try the breakfast.

Hotel Catalonia Del Retiro is a great place to stay while you visit Madrid. The front desk was phenomenal and we met people like Alvaro and Sarah who made our stay enjoyable and comfortable in every way, they gave us the extensions for the charging of all our devices and they also gave us lots of information about subway, subway station was like a two minute walk and eating area and a supermarket was maybe five minute walk, everything was so close to start with and the housekeeping was great too, nice clean warm bed every day when we came home and I like to thank you for that Miss Glenda and miss Isis and also thank you Alvaro and Sarah and I recommend this place for anybody who is in Madrid for a few days or longer.

The hotel itself was fine however, it was distant from any good restaurants ( except fast food) As we arrived, the female clerk, apparently training another one, became visibly irritated and saying “The reservation is for Two” while referring to our 8 year old. AlthI was sure I made the reservation for two adults and a child, I explained to her my wife was to stay a night out of the three w a sibling anyways. AlthI was sure I made the reservation for two adults and a child, I explained to her my wife was to stay a night out of the three w a sibling anyways. Hotel smells lovely, staff welcoming, opposite metro, carrefour, maccies, KFC, burgerking all within walking distance. Beautiful cafe next door latte and pastry €4. €33 standard fare to airport. Metro bought 1 card and 10 tickets for €8.50 and can b shared between 2 just need to swipe for each person close to centre

The hotel is located a good 15-20 min from Madrid city center and while it’s convenient to bus and rail it is far and traffic is tedious. The room was clean and staff was very attentive however the rooms do not have carpet which means you hear every single piece of luggage and furniture that is moved around. For that reason I deducted 2 stars. Also the AC is off in the entire building due to fall/ winter and that makes the rooms unbearably warm luckily you can open the window for air to come in.

Awesome Hotel in Madrid. Very pleasant stay we had for 4 days. Staff was great, from the check in to the end check out. Excellent breakfast with awesome staff. Cleaness of the rooms, room service was great daily. Everything was excellent except the air conditioning - we couldn’t have control of it except on and off. It was a bit annoying blowing right on you during the night - the way vents were installed. Other than that - we had a very good experience in this hotel thought out 4 days. Thank you Catalonia front desk and back staff.

Camas y almohadas comodas. El desayuno es frio, solamente fiambres y cafe, no hay huevo o comida preparada, no recomendable. Buena ubicacion, enfrente hay un supermercado , y puedes llegar en autobus a Atocha por $1.50 euros. El Wifi es pesimo, lento y con pobre alcance, tuve que cambiar de habitacion para poder tener el servicio. La limpieza es terrible, podiamos ver las pelusas de polvo (foto anexa). La tina de bano es resbalosa, aunque tiene un asa para sostenerse. No hay espejo de cuerpo completo. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba, tuvimos que abrir ventanas para refrescar la habitacion. No reponen los jabones y shampoos, tuvimos que ir varias veces a recepcion a que nos dieran nuevos. Las llaves de acceso a la habitacion son anticuadas, de banda magnetica, dejaron de funcionar un par de vecs y tuverin que reprogramarlas.

Fint hotell. Hyggelige ansatte. Vi hadde et familierom ut mot en bakgård. Helt stille og rolig. På fremsiden er det nok mer bråk fra trafikk. Veldig god frokost med mindre du kommer litt sent. Da var det meste tomt/tørt. Rommet var fint, men noe slitt. Sprekker og løs tapet noen steder. Vi våknet en dag med endel Faraomaur på gulvet, så pass på hva du får med i bagasjen hjem.
