Friendly staff, easily walkable to rod laver area. Only negative is off street car parking availability. There are only 4 parks available and incurs an additional cost of $50- which is not clearly stated in wotif booking system.

Overall, a good place to stay. Comfortable rooms, great location and great staff were the plusses. The negatives were the non-committal approach to parking - you can't know if you get a space until you arrive, which given the lack of parking nearby, was nerve-wracking for me. Also, a few maintenance issues bugged me, such as the door to the pool which is frankly dangerous (the way it slams shut), one of our showers didn't work, and the internet was poor. But overall, we enjoyed the stay.

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the AO and thought being a Mantra and “4” stars it would be nice. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and it certainly is more suited to be called a motel than hotel and at best a 3 star hotel. If you want a mini bar there is nothing in the room. You need to either call reception and then go down to reception yourself and collect or use a QR code to order and collect. There is no room service and the cafe/resteaunt isn’t open for anything other than breakfast. We tried to book breakfast and was told it’s closed because of the public holiday. We then ordered a couple of drinks to take to the pool and was told that we need to go past the gym on our way to the pool to collect paper cups to pour our drinks into. The room itself is dated however, the roll away bed provided for our son looked like a 1900’s psychiatric hospital bed, the tv has no streaming service ability so you can only watch local channels and the appliances are very old. When we returned to our room after the AO we put a couple of items in the washing machine and went to bed. In the morning when I opened the washing machine lid I was disgusted and dry reaching. The smell of stagnant water and mould was disgusting. I reached into take out the items and they were soaking wet and I had to hand wringe out the stagnant water. They waived our parking and 3 drinks charge for the issue but we would never stay here again. Definitely not a 4 star hotel!

Great location for the football or tennis and a quick tram to the city. Noise from the nearby train track and station is annoying at night. Yhere is no room service or mini bar, you have tonorder online and go to reception to collect which is a pain.

I recently had the pleasure of staying here. It's very close to the venues like Margaret Court Arena, Rod, laver Arena. Etc. hint the parking is very expensive. $50 a night. If you prepare to walk 10 minutes, you can get Park in the city for about $30.

Whilst everything was in order and the night view was lovely, the closeness to the main train line was unavoidable with late night freight trains and regular trains meaning there was not any relief from this except in the bathroom. Very convenient 5-10 min walk to MCG. Difficult after parking the car (which cost an extra $50 for the space overnight and I negotiated as $35 the next day) to extract oneself from the car as the car spaces weee so small. I fact I had to pull myself out of the driver’s seat and leave the car via the passenger front door.

Great place to stay when attending an even at Rod Laver Arena, quick and easy walk back , tram from the city was easy to navigate and then a short walk to the hotel from there even with our suitcases it wasn’t a problem. We stayed in a 1 bedroom. Room had everything we needed , only concern we had, was our door could use some maintenance as the security lock was broken but the main part still locked. Outdoor pool was clean, tidy and surprisingly lovely and warm. Reception staff were fantastic. We payed extra for the convenience of having the Buffett Breakfast on site as there is not much in the way of restaurants and shops around the area, next time I’d give that part a miss as the food wasn’t of a great standard , bacon was like USA bacon style, fatty and not much meat on them. Scrambled Eggs seemed to have been sitting there for a while even though we ate 30 mins after opening time. But the tomatoes and hash browns were ok. A few pastries as well as fruit and cereal were also available. Everything was presented in shared glass containers and not in individual packs included spreads like Vegemite and Jam, which felt very unhygienic for everyone to be dipping their cutlery in. There was also juice and a coffee machine available. I would absolutely stay again but next time not bother with the breakfast.

The hotel was lovely with a great location. Easy access to trams and trains. The outdoor spa and pool was lovely. The apartment was a great size and comfortable bed. Our room was too close to the train lines and we heard all of the trains at night and early each morning they woke us up. If we were in another room we may not have heard them. Our room was on the end at the back and you could see all the trains and hear them. Request a room on the other end of the building!

We booked this hotel as it is near to Rod Laver, we were not able to book car parking. We had to park a fair distance away from the hotel at a huge cost. It is a long walk from this hotel to Rod Laver. View from room - a crane. Overall the room was ok and the staff friendly.

The room was ok, but very dated. My towels were mouldy. The whole place needs a revamp for this price.

Bed was clean and comfy but bathroom was dirty. Phone and kettle didn’t work. Kettle was replaced very quickly as well as extra hangers I asked for.

Although close to the trains it is a quiet area. The rooms though are worn, carpet coming up, dirty bath etc. The lounge really needs replacing as you just fall to the middle. The bed was comfy. Housekeeping is questionable - used tea towel thrown on the lounge, tea/coffee not replaced, one facecloth for everyone, rationing toilet paper. Ok place to stay if going to a show close by.

All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful — that was the best part of my stay. However, the biggest disappointment was the towels. After showering, I noticed white fibers or lint sticking all over my body. It made me feel even dirtier after drying off. I think it’s time the hotel replaces all the towels, as they seem very worn out. Also, the smell from the toilet was awful — honestly, it was nauseating. Aside from these two issues, I was satisfied with everything else during my stay.

Bathroom a bit dated, bath floor rusted and not very clean. Staff were friendly, location was good being close to sports stadiums. Breakfast buffet was a let down, options weren’t amazing and there was things missing that took a really long time to replace like eggs and tomatoes. Noise level was loud being so close to the train tracks so that could be difficult for light sleepers.

Let me start by saying if your OCD its not the place for you...... There where mold in the shower,dust in the vents and the curtains. No dam fan in the bathroom!!! Free tea and coffee wow not even. To top it off check out was a total nightmare. Had the breakfast included can't say a good thing about that. Then I was ready to go check my bank only to find out that they charged $313 on-top of the $ 100 at check in. Got told its been happening for a while it's the system. The only two good things that I can say is the staff on breakfast were on point and the other good thing was the bed was comfortable.

Overall a pleasant place to stay. Comfortable, clean bed and room. Good value for the dollar. Bathroom was a bit ordinary and there was an unpleasant smell in the hallway outside our room. Having said all that, I’d stay there again. The staff were welcoming and professional.

A very nice room with kitchen and lounge area; lovely big bathroom. A view looking over to Rod Laver Arena so very close by to what we needed - only a 10 minute walk if that. Tram stop to the CBD only 5 minutes away. Breakfast was good.

Nice area and lobby. Limited dining options around the hotel. Convenient for events at nearby stadiums. Staff were very friendly and accommodating of early check in with unwell child. Very clean. Showers were difficult to get to the right temperature and rooms would benefit from smart TV.

Lovely comfortable bed, made beautifully. Bathroom was clean but not in the greatest condition - shower glass had dark areas in the corners which looked like mould but it must have been in the screen because you couldn't touch / scratch it. Good, no-fuss place to stay. Room was cleaned well and comfortable (apart from a somewhat cantankerous shower). Good to stay there again - appreciated being so close to the MCG, yet in a quiet spot.

Really spacious for family if 5, room was very comfortable, clean with nice amenities. They gave us a perfect room overlooking the skyline to see the NYE fireworks. Nice location for sporting events as well. Train noise is unavoidable. We were tired after staying up late for new years so slept through it easily but I could see it being noisy for some. Overall wonderful stay.

Room we stayed in was a bit tired. Fridge door did nor seal properly, oven needed cleaning, one of the lounges had no support in back, was sagging. Generally clean, staff helpful.

Great location Shower was not the best it was either too hot or too cold Bed was not a king bed two single beds pushed together.. we couldn’t cuddle properly But other than that it was great!

the front receptionist was exemplary she was professional;, helpful, knowledgeable and tied her best to accommodate our needs. from onsite parking to getting around the city her knowledge made our trip so much better and less stressful

Staff went above and beyond for us. Our room was quite loud with the train and they were more than accommodating in moving us to a quieter room. Very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended

The proximity to the MCG, the Staff were friendly and when I asked the next morning if I could have a change of rooms due to the noise of the trains all night my request was et with a friendly Mark who got me another very nice and quiet room. Thanks Mark

Very unhappy. Upon checking in I was given what was supposed to be my room key. Went up to the room, entered and there was already a guest in the bed. Her and I went down to reception to get it resolved. They then gave me a key to another room so off I went again, only to walk in on another guest. Third time lucky after a pretty poor attempt at showing any remorse we finally got an empty room. All well and good, next morning rolls around, laying in bed and maintenance walks into my room and says “I’m so sorry, reception said this room was vacant” Extremely poor organisation and unfortunately nothing has been offered for the inconveniences. I was told I would have money refunded and that hasn’t happened. Thanks to Mantra on Jolimont I will never book another mantra.

The property was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were wonderful. I wish they had been more clear about the on-site hotel parking and also that airport pickup was available. That information would have been helpful when I booked. It did not spoil my experience in any way. The fact that the staff were so kind and helpful made it a really great place to stay. I would stay there again.

Great location especially if you have something on at the Rod Laver Arena (only 8 min walk away). Staff are friendly. Room is clean and lovely. Only downfall is the limited car spaces available so organise parking elsewhere.

Couldn't have asked for better place to stay. So close to everything, just a short walk to the city, an excellent coffee shop on the way. In the other direction, its just a short walk to the MCG, which was visible from my room, Rod Laver Arena and AAMI Park. The apartment had a cosy feel with a nice bathroom and a comfortable bed and different pilow types to choose from. Would definitely recommend and u will certainly return.

Decent hotel, two bedroom apartment was great for a family. Location was excellent for the MCG and Rod Laver but very little else around. Very limited food options and no supermarkets nearby for small supplies. Overall nice, clean and easy. Pool was heated and the kids loved the little hot tub.

They told that the Rod Laver Arena was an easy walk away but it was half an hour each way. They didn’t tell me that their restaurant wasn’t open for dinner & they didn’t even open for breakfast on Monday or Tuesday & as I was staying on a Monday that was very inconvenient & there were NO places nearby to get any food which made it difficult for me at 83. I would never recommend them or stay there again

The hot breakfast in the morning wasn't hot. the coffee came out cold. I would have thought you would get coffee with the breakfast you ordered and paid for not as an extra, My room was a bit noisy from the trains, but overall the Mantra on Jollymont is a perfect place for sports and the likes as it is central to the sporting precint

Great location - walkable to city. Room was well appointed. Breakfast buffet was lovely. Only negative was that the shower was too hot in a couple of days (no cold water to adjust temp) possibly due to peak demand time. I would stay again.

This hotel was very nice, comfortable, clean, spacious, and the staff were very lovely. We stayed here because we needed to be as close to the Rod Laver Arena as our son was attending a concert there. It was a very close walk for us. Only down fall was the shower head did not work properly at all but apart from that it was a lovely stay also check out the breakfast buffet was delicious!

The staff member that greeted us was really good but that's where it ended. The buffer breakfast was not only extremely limited but poorly cooked. The location was very convenient. The room wasn't overly clean. There is mould in the caulking. Won't be back.

Love staying here with our 3 kids after the footy at the MCG. It was great. Missed out on parking so should’ve rang and booked this when I booked the accomodation but we parked nearby at John Caine arena which was only a 10 minute walk. Very comfy adjoining rooms. The buffet breakfast was a hit. We’ll definitely be back!
