Stayed for 6 nights. Good room service, hotel and room clean. Security is excellent. At the Reception, great people to always welcome with a smile even when cheked in at 2 am and very helpful. Vicinity to city centre is great. Walking distance to Tram less than 2 mins. Organised own breakfast. If a mini electric stive and a pan could have been provided would have just been superb. My bad, i did not ask for. Great experience at City Limits.

Nice, simple no-nonsense small hotel with big clean rooms. Next to a lot of bars and restaurants. Great for solo travellers. My room had also a small kitchenette with a microwave, sink and some plates and cutlery, which was nice. Only problem I had was the exhaust fan didn’t work well, so bathroom would fog up a bit, but fades away quickly

The hotel was easy to find, in a freat location. Room looked recently renovated. It was a great place, would stay again. Parking was just off the street, so not secure, but great that you can get parking in the city.

I was very impressed on how spotlessly clean it was and the little lounge at the front with a coffee machine was nice and cost. The tea/coffee making and even a toaster in the room was a nice surprise as well.

Very clean and nicely renovated hotel well located near Melbourne public transport, theatre district and numerous restaurants/cafes for all day dining. Bed was a little hard but OK. Checked in early (prior to theatre matinee session) and Lily (Guest Services) kindly found us a room that was available for early check-in. Tissue box in bathroom only had one tissue in it but Lily happily provided us with another box when the matter was reported. The complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate station in the reception sitting area is a great idea and well appreciated. The gift provided to us by the Hotel for our special occasion was unexpected and a nice touch.

Great location right in downtown shopping area, Chinatown and free tram zone of this small budget hotel with free coffee, tea and water in the lobby. Room was clean, spacious, comfortable bed and nice newly l done bathroom. Lily was super nice to lend me the Aussie power outlet adapter to charge my phone. It’s recommended to anyone with budgetary mind to stay in Melbourne.

This was my second stay here, and once again, it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, with friendly staff who were always happy to help. A nice perk was the no extra charge coffee machine in the guest lounge. Price-wise, rates can fluctuate depending on the season and local events, but anything under AUD 150 per night is very reasonable for what’s on offer here. Overall, I had no complaints and would definitely recommend it for a comfortable, hassle-free stay.

My wife and I spent a very comfortable night here on a trip to a concert at Margaret Court Arena as it was a leisurely walk from the hotel. The staff were excellent and the only issue was that the shower was a bit cramped being over a narrow bath. Other than that, we had no problems.

I stayed in a King Studio. I was really impressed with the staff, who are cheerful, helpful and go out of their way to help. The room is large for the price and well equipped with a kitchenette, dining bench and desk, as well as the usual bed, TV and bathroom. The room was comfortable and quiet and everything worked. The location is great, near restaurants, trams and trains. I would definitely stay again and have already recommended it to friends.

The stay was excellent. The only thing that troubled us, as senior citizens, was the hazard of getting into and out of a high bath tub in order to shower. Apparently that is to be rectified in time. The sooner the better!

Convenient location near the princess theater. We stayed only one night while in Melbourne to see the show Annie. The man who checked us in (cannot recall his name but he was from Spain) was very nice and provided a list of restaurants in the area that stay open late so we can get dinner. Room was dated but comfortable and warm with good working heater. Would definately stay there again when in town for another show.

Our stay at this hotel was amazing, we were really impressed by the reception staff who were all so friendly and helpful. The room it self was recently refurbished so was really nice and clean. Free coffee at the reception area was a nice touch. The location was perfect and so convenient, with a tram stop only 250m away. Only thing would be due to it’s central location if you’re sensitive to noise it may get a little noisy over the weekend on the evenings but that didn’t bother us too much. We’ll definitely stay there again.

The lovely man who checked in (unfortunately I didn’t grab his name) my mum and myself for our one night stay made our experience 10/10. It would be the hotel’s loss to ever lose an employee like him! Super friendly service! The room itself was perfect size for my mum and I. The staff organised 2 single beds for us before arriving without any hassle, along with the extra towels we requested! We will absolutely be staying here again in the future.

From the moment I walked into the place the staff was excellent and they had someone on the desk for 24 hours. The other thing I appreciated was before I arrived I received an email from them offering any assistance I needed to make my time in Melbourne more pleasurable they were available to assist me.

My stay at the City Limits Hotel was great! It was a perfect location to be near everything and Daniel on reception was so helpful, accommodating and a delight to deal with! It was great to have the kitchenette in the room as well as the expected amenities. I would definitely stay there again!

Good kitchenette; close to restaurants - good, but that also means there can be some late night noise on the weekends so take earplugs. Close the Aust Catholic Uni, parliament house and easy walking to Fec Square and the National Gallery of Victoria. The Little Gordon cafe next door is excellent for coffee, brekky n lunch.

Fantastic location if you need to stay in the hotel, walking distance to public transportation and restaurants just outside your hotel. It is located in the "elegant" section of China town near the Parliament. Spacious room, adequate amenities, with the right price, it is a very good choice rather than pay much more in the old hotels.
